He was kind, efficient, professional. He really seemed to care about the customer. Shane in finance explained all we needed to know about the warranty as well as all other pkgs available. Good service, but more difficult to obtain than it should be On April 12 2016 I took my 2008 Subaru Outback in to have a recall performed at 92,500 miles. When I made the appointment online in early April (April 4), I noted that there were no appointments available with loaner cars in the months of April or May. Since the letter from Subaru detailing the recall said it would take about 90 minutes, I decided to make an appointment to wait while the service was performed. I also scheduled to have the oil and filters changed at the same time. In the days leading up to the service, I received 3 e-mails, 2 texts, and a robo-call to remind me of the appointment. One reminder is good. At the point of 6 reminders, it feels like they think I'm irresponsible and am going to waste their time by not showing up. That's mildly annoying. When I did show up at 8:30 am (as scheduled), the service representative was surprised that the recall was part of the service requested. He explained that this particular service normally takes several hours. I mentioned that I would have gladly taken a loaner, but there were none available. He explained that loaners are normally reserved for "lower mileage cars." He also mentioned that if I had called, rather than making the appointment online, they might have been better able to anticipate the issue. After about 5-10 minutes, he was able to ensure that I had a loaner, and the service was complete by 4:30 that afternoon. While the service was performed with no apparent issues, they disconnected the battery, which caused the clock to become unset and the radio presets to be lost. Minor, but slightly annoying. Overall, the service was performed as desired, and all seems to be well. The loaner was fine, and it was the right answer for a required service that takes several hours. But I was left with the sense that they were somehow doing me a favor by properly doing the service that I had scheduled online a week in advance and providing a loaner while they did it. That should be the norm, not the result of someone doing me a favor. Good: Service performed as desired, loaner provided, good adjustment by service rep to make that happen. I got there and Bryan had an emergency, but Brian was able to help me and I was able to purchase my car that day. They had it ready for me Thursday. It was very easy and everyone was so nice. Our nearest dealers were not open to negotiating and offered a Legacy with 33,000 for $19,900 Freehold Subaru offered the same Legacy for $17,500 then when we arrived they lowered the price to $17,300. On top of that my wife found some flaws in the finish minor nicks and a white stain in the paint. They said they would try to fix that. When we arrived a few days later the finish was perfect (OK I was surprised). Not only that but all the salespeople were kind, personable and Shane offered his help whenever I needed it (even AFTER the sale). This is how you get repeat and recommended business. In the past few months I called a few times and every time they were very helpful including helping with an extended warranty at a great price. Originally I came because of the price and the reputation of the vehicle but I appreciate the professionalism of the sales force at Freehold Subaru. More

Of course we want a good price, but we also look for friendly, informed customer service and a willingness to go the distance with my husband's drill-down. Bryan Hughes answered all of his questions and was available multiple times to discuss a potential purchase. We would definitely recommend Bryan if you are looking for a new Subaru. On a side note, we have brought our cars into Freehold Subaru for service, and are very pleased with the Service Department. My husband has nothing but great things to say about Mike Hopler, the Service Manager. More

Their price was the lowest of the dealers who responded and I ended up buying the car from them. Everyone I dealt with at the dealership was very professional and very friendly.
