Freehold Mitsubishi is the worst dealership on the planet. They are liars, completely unprofessional, and so incompetent it’s almost criminal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I bought an Audi planet. They are liars, completely unprofessional, and so incompetent it’s almost criminal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I bought an Audi Q3 in September, and it’s been a non-stop nightmare ever since. Chris, our so-called salesperson, is a compulsive liar who should be fired immediately. My fiancé specifically asked if the car had the “technology package” that was listed in the online posting. This feature was incredibly important to us, so we asked Chris multiple times to confirm it. He repeatedly assured us, “Yes, it’s included.” When the car was delivered, the package wasn’t there. We immediately called and asked, “What happened? You specifically told us the technology package was included.” Chris’s response? “I don’t know… we aren’t an Audi dealership.” EXCUSE ME? If you don’t know, why did you lie and confirm it was included?! This wasn’t a misunderstanding—it was a blatant lie to close the sale. And that’s just the start of the chaos. Our first temporary plate was about to expire, so I called for an update on our registration. Chris suddenly “remembered” he needed additional documents to process it—documents he should have asked for weeks ago. I sent him everything and he promised to overnight a second temp plate. Days passed, and nothing arrived. I called again, and Chris kept insisting it had been sent. After multiple calls, he finally admitted the plate was sitting under a stack of papers on the receptionist’s desk the entire time. As the second temp plate approached expiration, Chris ignored my calls and texts for over a week. Reception was just as useless—transferring me, hanging up, or “forwarding my information” with zero follow-up. Eventually, someone told me they couldn’t issue a third plate because it was “illegal.” So now I was stuck driving an unregistered car, risking tickets, fines, or even having it impounded—all because this pathetic excuse for a dealership failed to handle even the simplest parts of their job. At this point, Jennifer stepped in and admitted something that left me speechless: Chris has a history of negative reviews, Jennifer also revealed Chris hadn’t even submitted our DMV paperwork until the second temp plate was about to expire. This isn’t just laziness—it’s downright reckless. She promised we’d have the plates in 18 days. Guess what? That was another lie. Now for the most infuriating part. I called again for an update and was put on hold. While waiting, the line was accidentally taken off mute, and I overheard employees mocking me. One said, “Nicolette can suck it,” and another replied, “I’ll keep her on hold all day, I don’t care.” Let me repeat that: these employees openly mocked me while I was just trying to get answers about the car I paid for. This isn’t just unprofessional—it’s disgusting. My car has been unregistered since November 26th… I bought the car on September 16th, and it’s now mid January…. This company has wasted my time, lied to me, ignored me, and openly disrespected me at every turn. I emailed Phil, the Operations Director who responds to these reviews saying to reach out to: support@maseratiofmonmouth.com and guess what! NO response for weeks. Freehold Mitsubishi is a complete and utter joke. They lie, they fail to handle even the most basic responsibilities, and their staff openly disrespects their customers. If you value your money, your time, or your sanity, RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE More

Dishonest dealership, had to get cops involved! SENT letter to Attorney General Matthew Platkins and submit complaint to BBB. I called twice on Friday, December 13th, at 3:50 PM and 4:38 PM to SENT letter to Attorney General Matthew Platkins and submit complaint to BBB. I called twice on Friday, December 13th, at 3:50 PM and 4:38 PM to confirm the availability of a 2018 black Toyota RAV4 I saw on CarGurus. I spoke with Tiffany, who assured me the car was available and would be ready for my 7 PM appointment. She even mentioned a white Toyota, but I declined due to its high mileage. Based on her assurance both times, my mom & I drove over 1 hr & 20 to the dealership. Upon arriving at 6:50 PM, I waited over 30 minutes, only to find the car wasn't there. The salesperson, George, started calling their "sister dealership" to locate it. He eventually said it was only two miles away. I suspected they were trying to sell us the white Toyota instead. Ten minutes later, George confirmed they didn’t have the black Toyota but offered the white one. We said no & I asked when the black one was sold, and he claimed 2 days ago. When I asked for proof of the sale, he acted frantic. It took awhile to check for the "proof of sale". This other tall guy in a plaid long jacket walked over to me around 7:43 PM with a piece of paper with the “proof of sale.” I told him, "Sorry, give me one minute," because I was on the phone calling the non-emergency number. He said okay, saw me on the phone, & folded the paper in half vertically. As I stepped outside to continue my call with the non-emergency line, I noticed the same document left on the counter. I explained everything & asked for an officer to come out. When the officer arrived, they agreed the dealership’s actions were suspicious & advised me to leave a review and contact corporate. Officer was really emphatic. While talking to the officer, the guy in the plaid jacket pretended to be confused about why the police were there. Then another guy with a blue suit came out, pretending to be a manager. I’m thinking okay he’s the Dwight Schrute of the office, so okay (Acting) Manager. He was acting shocked, & said, "OMG, what happened? Is everything okay?"—but with a nasty smirk on his face. I told him if he didn’t know what happened, he shouldn’t be out here. How was he the manager when he worked at the front desk & checked us in when we arrived at 6:50. The “acting manager” asked, “What time did you call?” I told him I called at 3:50 & 4:38 & spoke to Tiffany, who assured me that the vehicle would be ready for my 7 PM appointment. Then he was like, “What? It is now 8:20, of course the vehicle is sold since you called at 4:38 PM.” I told him we came at 6:50 PM, & HE checked us in. He got silent. At 6:50 pm we specifically told him we were there for the black RAV4. So if the vehicle was sold between 4:38 PM and 6:50 PM, why didn’t he say anything as soon as we arrived? Also, wasn't the car at the "sister dealership"? The cop and I just looked at each other. He tried to claim the car was sold between 4:38 PM and 6:50 PM, despite George already printing out the paper stating it was sold two days ago. The "acting manager" denied knowing about the sales paper that was previously trying to be shown to me, so I retrieved it from the counter. The document was printed before the cops got there & was meant for me to see. I opened the paper and saw it clearly said 2018 RAV4. He took it back & kept stating that it had customer's information on there, but he was trying to show me that SAME paper prior to the police showing up. This paper was obviously meant for me to see, but now that the cops were involved, they didn’t want the officer to see it b/c it’s 100% clear they are falsifying documents. They denied that they ever tried to show me a paper. I kept asking for them to go get the real manager but they didn't want to. When I asked to see camera footage, they claimed it wasn’t accessible that night, an obvious attempt to avoid accountability. All in all, Mitsubishi Motors in Freehold is a fraudulent business that uses bait-and-switch tactics. More
Apparently likes to sell cars and then report them stolen. They (Chris) took a down payment for a car and told my son that the car had been sold already. They talked him into another vehicle. Shortly, stolen. They (Chris) took a down payment for a car and told my son that the car had been sold already. They talked him into another vehicle. Shortly, thereafter, they called him, insisting that he return the vehicle or they were they were going to report it stolen. They are now telling him that they cannot give him his down payment back. The car has now been reported stolen, and my son who happens to be a veteran, has a vehicle he cannot drive. Bad business I would not do business with this company. More
STAY AWAY! ! Absolutely the biggest dumpster fire of a dealer run by lying thieves who will say ANYTHING to sell the car/get you out of the door. End result? Tak ! Absolutely the biggest dumpster fire of a dealer run by lying thieves who will say ANYTHING to sell the car/get you out of the door. End result? Taking delivery a pile of garbage back to MA with no title / registration for well over a month, not following through and honoring the “we owe you” form (illegal by the way), a front diff on the way out, a dead accessory battery ($1300 dealer only item), mismatch bald tires, an empty gas tank (oh…but Kelvin offered to put $5 in for me on my way out….wow…) and falsified information not disclosing a vehicle was a repo (not on the CarFax they printed for me to sign until after taking delivery of the vehicle). Mr. Man Purse Kelvin is about as useful as fire underwater (with several court cases against him as the salesperson alluding to falsifying information/misleading consumers, yet the owner Dairon continues to have this high-risk seat warmer running around). Nathan Rojas…I think he’s the Finance Manager? I don't understand how he's employed...he doesn't have an accurate answer to anything, lies through his teeth, will say anything to get you off the phone and is just as misleading and deceitful as the rest of the staff (can’t tell you the number of times my title/registration was “overnighted” before he owned up to flat out lying)...the epitome of the statement "over promise and under deliver". Dairon (the owner)? MIA...he is incapable of answering an email, getting involved or taking accountability for his unethical team of employees/business practices. Everyone in this place is like a chicken running around that just got their head cut off. It’s mind boggling, incredibly frustrating and the tiniest bit humorous at the same time. No idea how this place can possibly operate with such a low cumulative IQ!!!! After over 150 calls into Freehold Mitsubishi to follow up on several deliverables, I traded the X7 out (after finally getting it registered once they had a repo title to send to the DMV) for another vehicle at a reputable dealer, unfortunately having to eat the cost of the $3k "we owe" item Freehold refused to honor. The positive reviews on here? Most are from the staff working for the dealer and their peers. Go ahead…crosscheck some of the names on all dealer review platforms!! There’s soooooo many employees “so happy with their purchase and experience” from Freehold Mitsubishi (clearly not a coincidence). This place should’ve been shut down a long time ago. A few more lawsuits and someone will take them out of business. TRUST the real reviews on here. They won’t be 5 stars. RUN, don’t walk away from this dealership. You’ll thank the honest ones on here.
