My sales rep, Rich Slafer, was not at all pushy; he was extremely knowled negotiating purchase of my new Hyundai Sonata was pleasant and stress free. My sales rep, Rich Slafer, was not at all pushy; he was extremely knowledgeable made sure I received a fair deal and that I left with a full understanding of my new vehicle. I am NOT a chronic "review Writer". In fact this is only the second time I've taken the time to write one, but felt compelled to share this very positive experience. I love my new Sonata, and the process of purchasing it was a real joy. Highly recommend Freehold Hyundai and Rich Slafer--didn't know either prior to walking into their showroom. More

We went to the dealership to look at a pre-owned 2004 VW Jetta for my daughter. after looking at the car and test driving it we were mildly impressed, but it was in my daughters price range so we continued Jetta for my daughter. after looking at the car and test driving it we were mildly impressed, but it was in my daughters price range so we continued the process. After having a very nice conversation with our sales representative, Raphael Johnson, that had nothing to do about cars but where we grew up, he thought of an option for my daughter. After about 5 minutes Raphael came back to us and asked if my daughter would be interested in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra for only a little more per month than she would be paying for the 2004 Jetta with no additional monies due. We were a little skeptical due to what we thought would be our low credit rating. Not only was our credit rating better than we thought, but Raphael gave us some friendly advice on how to strengthen my credit. My daughter left the lot that day with a beautiful 2010 Hyundai Elantra and the biggest smile I have seen on her in a while. Many thanks to Raphael and the staff at Freehold Elantra for making a 19 year old girl very happy and making her dad look good too! More

If you just want a new car this may be a good dealer. If you have a trade it may be an issue. We received an obvious attempt at confusing numbers scribbled all over a sheet of paper. No clear math at all. " you have a trade it may be an issue. We received an obvious attempt at confusing numbers scribbled all over a sheet of paper. No clear math at all. "The sticker price is not the MSRP there is an addendum price also" Went to the dealer to trade in an older Toyota and find a Veloster. Pulled in and greeted by Tom who is quite pleasant and good to work with. Asked for a trade in value with no car selection he refused politely. We told him the car we were interested in and asked for pricing on trade in and new car. Won't give a price until we test drive. We drove the car as we had already at another dealer. He told us he would make it work we asked for a price. We asked me to tell him the offer we got elsewhere to save time so I did. Off to the manager and came back with a very fair price for a car on the lot similar to the one we asked about but wrong color. We want another color can you order it what is the price and what is the trade in value. We are two hours in now and can't get a price. Giant scribble page of numbers shows up with a 27,550 price at top with various other numbers it seems this was the addendum price with some calculations. Drag that thru the mud for a while and I ask 'what is the amount of cash I must hand you with my trade to get the car I want?" quite clearly. Tom leaves us to another gentleman Leon that is very nice but tells us he needs $1700 more than the price we got at the other dealer but he will get the car quicker (no stock in the US we confirmed with several dealers). I wonder why we should pay more and it seems the other dealer will likely not be able to deliver. When I challenge that the other dealer can't just make stuff up he tells me that $1700 is not that much if we finance we can save a few bucks and build credit too. I thanked them for their time and told him that we had a budget and it took all this time to get an answer to my first question. How much and how much for the trade in. We were there 3 hours and it took that long to get a simple price. Dragged thru the mud instead of simply providing a value on trade in and new vehicle. More
