My name is Darius and I am an Executive Business Consultant and lifelong North Carolina resident. I was approved by my bank for an auto loan and initially did not know of Fred's Select Auto. I alwa Consultant and lifelong North Carolina resident. I was approved by my bank for an auto loan and initially did not know of Fred's Select Auto. I always shop around for deals and found myself in Arlington, Virginia at a location named Washington Boulevard Motors. Washington Boulevard Motors (specifically their finance man named "Tony") had given me a rundown of what to expect, as well as what documentation I'd need to bring with me (Copy of ID Card, Social Security card, recent mail verifying address -since I was an out of state resident- and things of the sort). He told me he'd spoken with the bank, all the numbers were good, etc. Upon arriving at the dealership, everything I was initially told was changed; this includes the down payment, which "Tony" from Washington Boulevard told me was a "misunderstanding" and that his 'salesman' had misquoted me. So, me being me, as much as I loved that new BMW X5, I felt I could not trust Washington Boulevard Motors of Arlington, Virginia. As such, I took my $25,000 approval home with me and decided to brainstorm. Keep in mind, I'd driven over four(4) hours to this dealership and it was for naught - they were extremely arrogant and obnoxious, not to mention unprofessional. However, I was going to tolerate their shenanigans just to get the car (knowing I'd not have to deal with them again). Furthermore, some of the staff were laughing at me as I left (speaking in Spanish, saying they were going to get over on me; they were thinking I didn't understand them, but I did). I immediately contacted the bank, to notify them that they needed to be extremely careful in dealing with Arlington Boulevard Motors. I asked for a list of other dealerships and proceeded to call around, but didn't feel comfortable with the dealers. They all just seemed a bit too slick for me. So I decided to call "Fred's Select Auto" and I promised myself that if they too were shady, I was going to report them to the bank, Consumer Protection, and just keep my current BMW X5 and forget buying a new car altogether. I called Fred's and was connected to a gentleman named "David." David seemed to be very friendly and intently listened to each and every detail of my situation. When I was finished venting, he asked me what I was looking for and I told him a new BMW X5, the color options, mileage range, etc. (so I could remain within my budget). David told me that Fred's Select would have a couple of representatives at the upcoming auction, so if I could wait a few days, he'd get me the X5, we'd go through the numbers via telephone, upfront ("so you don't make a long trip in uncertainty, Mr. Little.") This was a sign that Fred's Select was likely going to be "my lifetime dealer." A couple days passed and David called, letting me know that they'd need a deposit in order to go and buy a car on my behalf from the auction. This was very understandable because, though I knew I wasn't shady, just as there are shady dealers, there are shady customers. So Fred's needed some good-faith on my part. I paid the deposit via my credit card, over the telephone and we were good to go. A day later they let me know that they didn't get any X5's from the auction. I admit, this did annoy me a bit because David has told me he was certain they'd get an X5. He then let me know that they'd be going back to the auction in "a few days." As a Business Consultant, I have a very busy schedule, so I could not wait a few days. The bank had told me "We're in the business of giving loans. You want a car, so go find one and we'll give you the loan. We make money by giving you loans, so we want you to go get a car from somewhere." This helped me to feel empowered because bottom line, I was getting a car, from somewhere. And I didn't care where, I just didn't want any crap and I wanted to be talked to and treated like a human being. My Executive Assistant and I drove to Fred's. It was a 4 and 1/2 hour drive, but upon arrival, I was pleased to see the lot filled with nothing but luxury vehicles. As we pulled-up there were 3 families looking at various vehicles and going on test drives, getting their potential trade-ins appraised, etc. When I pulled up I was approached by a well dressed salesman, named "Tony." Tony knew who I was (likely by my vehicle) and notified me that David was with another customer, but that I'd be speaking with David later. Tony told me "we have things worked out and you will be driving this car home." I admit to thinking to myself "as long as you guys don't try any crap, I agree! I've got a loan for $25,000 and you're selling the car for $23,980 according to your website, so if you let me walk off this lot you're an idiot." Tony took my Assistant and I into the dealership, where they had an impeccable, clean and well groomed waiting room. Leather chairs awaited us, along with iced cold, bottled water. The staff weren't loud, but dealt with one another with respect. I felt at peace, officially. We appraised my old BMW X5 (in case I wanted to trade it) and went through the numbers. Things worked out wonderfully and all I can say is I will buy every vehicle I ever purchase from Fred's Select. As a Business Consultant, I deal with all types of companies. Fred's Select is a well-oiled machine, with friendly, gentle, non-overzealous folks plugged in by their leadership, working as a TEAM to get you the customer out of there with a vehicle. The most taxing part was signing all of the documents, but that is to be understood. I left with a sparkling Mercedes Benz C330 4MATIC with a Sports Package. The car is in impeccable condition, the new leather smell is still in my nose and I am just very pleased to have once again, found a dealer that is trustworthy. Yes, they must make a profit (what business isn't?), but they do so in a way that is not insulting, demeaning, belittling, or disrespectful. As weird as this sounds: I care about those folks and consider them extended family. I have a TON of clients who periodically purchase high end vehicles, so I will send every one of them to Fred's. If the drive is a problem, I'll volunteer to drive them there. It is worth it. ANY negative reviews about Fred's on the internet MUST BE from jealous competitors. I am as picky as they come, from my women to my cars and I have nothing but positive to say about Fred's. They also own a restaurant, which I believe serves a Mediterranean Menu. My staff and I are already talking about making a special trip, just to try out Mr. Fred's place. SHOP FRED'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More

Several employees assisted but to no avail, the radio would not work. I should not have purchased the car as a properly working radio is very important to me. The heart of my poor dealer rating is began during the paperwork process. I was assured the radio was not working properly b/c the antenna somehow came unplugged. Long story short, the radio had major issues - antenna assembly required replacing, 6 of the 9 speakers were blown and the amplifier was shot. I have put over $1700 into the sound system and it is still not perfect. I was told by Logan that Fred's went through the entire car before selling so they knew of the stereo issues and did not disclose. To their credit, they kept me interested in the car promising to fix antenna issue, but when pressed to set up appointment to fix, my calls were never returned. Logan promised to "take care of me", but has not returned calls or emails seeking compensation for my additional expenses. I do take responsibility for the purchase and should have gotten the radio fix in writing but did not. I invite all who consider buying a car from Fred's to reconsider and check the VA Better Business Bureau as numerous complaints have been filed. More

My experience with Fred's Select Auto was wonderful. OG approached me and my sister as we were on the lot looking at cars. He was very professional, respectful, and friendly. Additionally, he was very pa approached me and my sister as we were on the lot looking at cars. He was very professional, respectful, and friendly. Additionally, he was very patient, as I saw and inquired about several cars. I told him what my budget was, and he immediately started the process to ensure that I was able to get what I wanted. Everyone; the finance manager, and numerous other people that I didn't get there names, were extremely helpful and friendly. Even the guys who washed the cars! They took special care to clean my car very well before delivering it to me. Customer service is truly a priority with everyone who works there, and it shows in the way the do business. Due to a problem on my credit report, specifically, a car that I co-signed for was repossessed 3 years ago, I wasn't sure that I would be able to purchase the car I wanted at a payment I could afford, but, due to everyone's work, and the approval of the wonderful owner of the dealership, QaSinn, I purchased a beautiful 2009 Mercedes C300, fully loaded, with very low miles and a full Mercedes warranty! The only negative comment (not really negative, but just not my preference) is the color of my car. My car is steel gray with black interior, and I was looking for a pearl white, black, or red Mercedes, with tan or cashmere interior. OG, David and QaSinn have PROMISED me that they will get me another Mercedes, having the color that I want, fully loaded, low miles, etc.,with a lower payment in 6 months or less!! I could not ask for a better deal. They have truly earned me as a customer for as long as I need a car, and I will definitely refer them to everyone I know when the need to purchase a car arises. My sister will be purchasing from them as well. A special thanks to OG for addressing my concerns and making me feel comfortable, and a special thanks to QaSinn, the owner It's not very often that you get to hear the owner validate and promise to honor what is promised by his staff!! That definitely made me feel more at ease with my deal. He appears to be a man with intregrity, and has made it a building block for his business. I certainly look forward to working with everyone again in 6 months or less!! More

Being a female and buying a car can be an overwhelming experience but at Fred's I felt at ease and didnt feel like I was being taken advatange of.I highly recommend Fred's Select Auto because they are not experience but at Fred's I felt at ease and didnt feel like I was being taken advatange of.I highly recommend Fred's Select Auto because they are not your average over bearing and pushy car sales. It all started with me sending in an inquiry about a vehicle and received a phone call the next day by Brandon who was professional. Within a couple of days I went in and test drove the car that I was interested in. Then I met with David the finance manager who worked out numbers with me because that was also a deciding facto. Even though I test drove the car and seen some numbers and knew in my mind that I wanted this car I still had some concerns/issues that Ksim (manager) did not hesitate to take care of and ease my mind. At the end of everything I signed my paperwork with Dean who was very nice. My car buying experience was pleasent, thanks you guys. Also, the whole staff is courteous. 2009 Altima More
The guys at Fred's Select Autos have been terriific to work with, and I would recommend them to others without hesitation. After deciding that I was ready to purchase a new car, I spent alot of time on A work with, and I would recommend them to others without hesitation. After deciding that I was ready to purchase a new car, I spent alot of time on Autotrader finding exactly what I wanted. After visiting the Fred's Select website I found a terrific selection of high end cars, and actually noticed 3 that I was interested in testing. My job makes it very difficult to schedule for things like this except on Sundays. Although they are normally closed, Tony made it a point to meet me on a Sunday so that I could test out the cars I liked. After deciding on the car I wanted, David was available to handle my financing options right in the office. Tom handled finishing up my paperwork with the DMV and I drove my new car the 400 miles back home. Two weeks later, I received a call from Tom letting me know that my license plates had come from the DMV. He just wanted to let me know that he was dropping those in the mail for me to save me another trip. I found the guys at Fred's to be friendly, courteous, and attentive. They were not interested pressuring me into a car, but rather in finding the right car for me. I would definitely buy from them again. More

My husband and I were looking for a specific car at a specific price and were paying cash. We had searched online and contacted many private sellers and dealerships to see if they would accept our offer specific price and were paying cash. We had searched online and contacted many private sellers and dealerships to see if they would accept our offer and they would not. So we came across Fred's Select Auto on-line and gave them a call. We were able to make the terms of the deal over the phone. The next day we drove 77 miles to their dealership to inspect and test drive the car. The car was exactly as described except there was a minor flaw (nothing big)but for some reason, I did not like it. My husband was fine with the imperfection but not me. He was more concerned that the vehicle was in good condition. But I addressed my concerns with the owner who was never too far away that I could not speak with him and he did everything and more than I expected to fix the problem to where I was happy. We drove the vehicle back home the 77 miles and it ran good. I know some have had bad experiences with car dealers, sellsmen and buying cars but those gentlemen at Fred's Select Auto are top notch. Just be up front with them, be respectful and don't play games. You will be surprised at what they can do! The owner is a very decent man, he purchased our trade in from us even though he knew he could not sell it and donated it to a man who desperately needed a vehicle. Now, who do you want to do business with??????? More
