After doing my homework to research vehicles and prices and securing pre approved financing, I requested an online price quote for the vehicle of my choice. Thinking I had all the details worked out, I spe and securing pre approved financing, I requested an online price quote for the vehicle of my choice. Thinking I had all the details worked out, I spent my evening driving to Barberton, giving the salesman all of my info, and test driving the car of my choice. All of this, only to be told by the manager that the quote would not be honored. Period. No compromise, no help finding another vehicle, no concern for his customer. More
I entered an agreement, in writing, with FMC on 5/27/2011. 6/1/11 Dan, the sales manager, contacted me stating the deal I agreed on was not obtainable. The interest rate I agreed to was going to be raised and the monthly payment I agreed to was also to be raised. I signed paper work agreeing to specific terms and five days later those terms were changed. I was told I could either agree to the new terms or return the vehicle. I don't understand how any business can operate by promising their customers one deal only to turn around and change the original agreement. Clearly they do not care about customer satisfacion, only their bottom line. More
My wife and I needed a car to replace our Cavalier. We wanted a car similar to it. They had several types of cars that were about right. When we decided upon a Cobalt, they had five to select from in our price range. Not surprising considering how many cars they had on the lot. They handled the sale painlessly. They offered a variety of add-ons, but didn't use the time to press us about them. The biggest surprise was the financing. They found a local credit union (cost $5 to join) and a rate that beat the national lenders and my credit union from when I was a sailor. We tried them first because we had bought our Cavalier (new) from their Chevy dealership. Over the years, we've had two wrecks restored in their Collision Center and various maintenance appointments. They'd always been courteous, did the maintenance on time, no overnights when promised at the end of the day, and handled everything with the insurance companies that fixed the two accidents. When our Grand Vitara wears out, we'll start there. I recommend them to anyone. Especially if you have an accident. That was truly easy, and all our friends told us horror stories about their experiences with accidents so we did not expect any variety of "easy"! Our salesman's name was Todd Craig. He helped a great deal with the cars and was very patient while we test drove four different models and then the one we picked out. It's a big lot so he did a lot of walking too. (He offered a golf cart to get us around, but walking's healthy.) I'm pretty sure anyone would do well with him. More
