Our overall experience was quite good. All was explained to us regarding the car and all its features. I came in at 6:00 AM on "Black Friday" to buy a used 2010 Corolla (only 11,000 mi on it) and walked out with a BRAND NEW 2010 Corolla that was a floor model (only 16 mi on it) for the same price as the used Corolla (only 11,000 mi on it) and walked out with a BRAND NEW 2010 Corolla that was a floor model (only 16 mi on it) for the same price as the used one. This was a once in a lifetime deal perhaps, but the service I received from my salesman, Pat Romano, was definately not. He and all the other James Toyota employees were friendly, helpful and did everything they could to make me comfortable on a cold, dark Friday morning. I could tell this attitude wasn't just a "black friday" special, it is the way they do business every day. Pat was honest when he said I'd be their "guest" for awhile, while all the paperwork was filled out. And he did make me feel like a guest - showing me where I could get a fresh cup of coffee and relax while I waited. He didn't ignore me once the paperwork started, we had a couple of nice conversations which made the waiting go a little faster. For being such an important and potentialy nerve-wracking purchase it went very smoothly. I was well taken care of by a friendly, knowledgible staff and when my Corolla needs to be replaced (in about 20 years) I'll be heading back to James Toyota first. Until that happens, I'll be recommending this dealership to others. More

We took our Toyota sequoia for 30k miles service and tires balance and rotations. They charged us $973 for 30k miles service. After the service we found out that our car still had exactly the same steering wheel vibrations at around 60mph that we had before. We went back to the dealership and complained about the problem. They told us that they already had performed the service with tire rotation and balance. We took the car to another very reputable service/ dealership and after inspection they told us that no service was performed. They even showed us readings as evidence that no rotation / balance was done. We checked prices of 30k service from 3 Toyota dealerships in the same area and the maximum service charge for the 30k service was around $490. On the other hand James Toyota charged us $973 and did not even perform the basic service. We do have the receipts to share if necessary. We have also complained to their customer service and Toyota. I travel from Westchester NY to buy from Brian and James and it has been worth the trip. have recommended Brian to a friend who lives in Conn who has also traveled the distance to buy several new cars from Brian. I was delighted to see that Brian was back with James and so we went to speak with him about the the recent Toyota offers. He helped us understand the options we had with the various deals available and worked with us to pick the car and package that would work for us. We actually ended up with a more loaded car but felt good about the decision and continue to do so. I highly recommend Brian. Good guy, knowledgable and willing to work for you. More
They are the opposite of typical car dealer stereotype and previous experineces. However, I found I was sadly mistaken after meeting with the financing department. Paul Solomon attempted to sell me unnecessary warranties for the vehicle in excess of hundreds of dollars. Their pricing is much higher than other dealerships I visited, which would be worth it had I been treated with respect from the sales and finance managers. The "higher-ups" of the establishment need to be more professional, and could probably take a few tips from the salesmen I met with initially. More

I have be constantly pestered with reminders to bring the car for service and have done so every 5k - all pre paid. Waited hours for services to be completed. At the final service I requested new wipe blades - I was charged for them as it appears the "Extended Premium Service" contract does not even cover them $18. After receiving more junk mail from toyota encouraging early return of the the car - I tried to return the car 5 months early - and end the lease. Was shopped around by 4 managers -I had no interest in making any profit; only to be offered an insulting deal. This is the last time I buy this brand - or deal with this dealer. More
