I started out speaking to Caitlin and she convinced me it would be worth the time to come in and see the vehicle. She was soo nice. When I got to the dealership, I spoke to Todd and Dan. Todd went with me for the test drive and answered quite a few questions that I had. When I spoke to Dan he answered even more questions for me. Even the salesmen I didn't need to talk to were so nice, polite, and knew what they were talking about, unlike most dealerships. I noticed that quite a few dealerships that I went to, I knew more about the cars they were selling than they did. When I decided to purchase the car, I gave Todd a deposit check and told him that I needed time to get the rest of the deposit in order to purchase the car. He said he would hold the check until I let him know. It took me 2 weeks to get the money and he still had my deposit check (he hadn't cashed it). I was very surprised about that. They managed to get me financed so I could get the car (which was not an easy job). When I came in two weeks after my original visit, I met Christine and she explained all of the charges and was very informative and knew what she was doing. I got to talk to Dan and Todd again and they were both so excited for me getting my dream car. I even told them that they should share the commission with Caitlin because if it wasn't for her, I probably would never have traveled all the way up there. I have never had such a great experience buying a vehicle. I will tell everyone I talk to how great they were and recommend them to everyone. More
I found the buying experience to be very pleasant. There was no pressure for me to purchase, nor was there any pressure during the pricing phase. As a consumer, I appreciate these things and feel more inclined to do business with this dealership as they really seem to respect the customer. I got a great car at a fair price and will have my car serviced there due to the positive experience I have had thus far. Thanks! More

From the time we enter the dealership everyone was very friendly and helpful. Will was nice on Sat 3/23/13 when we were first looking at the Outback. We came back with our trade in the evening of 3/27/13, and asked for best price deal on Outback. We were not satisfied with price or trade in, and sales manager on duty came out to us with all his reasons for the trade in value, and treated us very poorly. He only wanted to tell what he had to do with our trade in, excuses for not dealing and treated us like we did not know anything about car dealing. We happen to be very well educated, and do not take kindly to being treated so poorly. It makes us wonder how they sell any cars with the treatment we received. We thought we would like to buy from them, but now we tell folks not to waste their time with this dealer, based on our experience. We purchased our Outback from another dealer who gave us a better price and financing information presented with all the options available, rate of interest, # of months and payments for the number of months. We had previously done our homework on the vehicle we wanted, and what a reasonable trade in would be for our previous vehicle. We also received over $2,500 more on our trade in from the other dealer. More
On 10/27/2012 I called this dealer about a vehicle in my price range of $3,000 for a specific short therm need. When I received a return call I was told I had to come in and talk to the manager personally. I informed the salesman that I lived an hour away and was not driving to Doylestown on a whim, and if his manager was serious about selling a car he could call me. About 45 minutes later I received a call from a manager who said the car was delivered on 10/12/2012. On 11/2/2012 I received an e-mail from the salesman stating they would sell the car for $2,500. How could they sell a car they already delivered? Simple, they never sold it in the first place. The sales manager made the same mistake as the salesman. They did not want to deal with an educated buyer. They wanted to beat down their customer for the last penny in the deal.bNevertheless I e-mailed the salesman to be sure we were talking about the same car and indeed we were. I have filed a complaint with the PA Attorney General and will also file a complaint with the local BBB. It's no wonder car dealers have the reputation they do. They earn it with examples of horrific service like this. They assumed I was stupid because I wanted a $3,000 vehicle. Note to dealer: I can afford a $30,000 vehicle if I want to. In fact I can afford several. I hope you enjoy your investigation. More

I had a wonderful experience purchasing my vehicle from Fred Beans. I already owned a Subaru and had been taking it to the service department there for the past year, and have really been won over by thei Fred Beans. So when I decided to trade in, I was already pretty set on buying from Fred Beans. Terry Hooper was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. I felt that he listened and was patient while I took my time making my decision. I am so happy in my 2012 Subaru Forester with All-Weather Package! I was really happy with the appraisal value they gave me on my trade-in. (I got an appraisal elsewhere and the offered me a few thousand less.) Overall I feel that I got a really fair deal, and I got exactly what I wanted in a vehicle - no buyers remorse! I think the success of the Fred Beans sales team is that they are genuinely interested in their customers' longterm satisfaction over making an immediate sale. All my experiences so far at Fred Beans have made me a loyal customer. I highly recommend going there if you want to buy a Subaru, or getting your car serviced there if you already have a Subaru. More
