I wish I could give Fred Anderson Toyota a 0 star rating. We bought a like new RAV4 certified preowned vehicle days before we went on vacation to Kiowa Island. While traveling on I-95 the air conditioning blew out and left us sweltering in the SC heat. The next morning I took the car to Fred Anderson Toyota for repair and when contacted was told that the repairs would cost us over $700 (out of pocket) which included a one day rental of a car that was not as nice as the one we were driving. We had purchased the best warranty available so that we would not have to worry about a situation like this. I had informed the service advisor, Frank DeGrasse, about the warranty coverage on the car, however he ignored our coverage and tried to say that we had encountered a road hazard and the warranty would not cover the repair. Looking at the video we were sent by the mechanic, it was obvious that it would have taken an impact that would have shattered the protective shield under the car to have done what they claimed. The protective shield was not even scratched!!! They pointed to a scrape on the front bumper and said that was evidence of a road hazard. I shared the video with a former Toyota repair technician and other highly experienced mechanics that I know and trust explicitly and every one of them said the same thing, that there was no possible way that the damage that they saw could have occurred the way FAT described. I was forced to pay over $170 to get our car back and drove the rest of our vacation in the June/July heat of Charleston SC. We took our car back to Pinehurst Toyota in Pinehurst, NC where we purchased the car. We were treated with respect and given a very nice rental, while repairs were made at no charge. The service department agreed that the problem was not caused by any road hazard. We can only speculate that Fred Anderson Toyota was trying to take advantage of out of town travelers. Hopefully this will help caution others who may be caught in the same situation. If faced with the same situation in the future, I would definitely make the drive to Savannah Toyota instead, even though the drive is longer. DO NOT TRUST FRED ANDERSON CHARLESTON TOYOTA !!!!!!!!! TRAVELERS BEWARE !!!!! More

Went to get an oil change it went poorly, however they ended up handing me a brand new truck. So there’s nothing to complain about. They did their jobs and did it well. Called and verified i could come in and have my coolant topped off and was met with rude,and unprofessional service advisors. But i am not the only one and thier google reviews will verify the service d topped off and was met with rude,and unprofessional service advisors. But i am not the only one and thier google reviews will verify the service dept is in shambles and apparently if you dont have a service plan or have serviced wirh them previously you are 2nd rate. And i still am low on coolant. 10/10 i will recommend nobody buy or service their cars at this dealer. More

This review is solely for Michael Tucker in the service department. He is a true asset to the dealership - responsive, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He provided better service than any of the local department. He is a true asset to the dealership - responsive, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The rest of the service experience was beyond atrocious and not worth rehashing here, but none of it was in any way Michael’s fault and went above and beyond to try and make things right. More
