Effective listening classes needed I got a great deal, on a great car. Other than that they were friendly, I really did get a great price but the experience and process left much to be desired. I spent 15 years as management in dealerships and salesman training is desperately needed. In the old days all you needed to be a salesman was a flexible moral compass and good talking skills. Now the process should be trained and polished. The salesman should have a checklist and follow it. F&I should offer the manufacturers warranty AND their in house solution NOT ignore what you asked for. Also NOONE at the dealership could tell my wife and I what the asterix's on the Neilson advantage plan were. I am assuming it is mileage and time based but I am not buying it until I know. And the fact that after 3 visits there was STILL no more detailed information besides the basic brochure only reinforces my opinion that I am being taken advantage of. Am I a paranoid customer, yes I am I freely admit that and this dealer experience reminded me of why I am like that. Did I get everything I wanted in the end? Yes I did. However it shouldn't be as hard as it was. More
