Horrible experience! I bought a nice 2012 dodge ram in auburn, me after getting home from Afghanistan in the marine corps. I then relocated to farmington to live and work I bought a nice 2012 dodge ram in auburn, me after getting home from Afghanistan in the marine corps. I then relocated to farmington to live and work so I decided to try to keep my business local. After having brake issues and a small recall job for a gas tank strap, I decided to take my truck over to Farminton Franklin Crystler for service to have it done professionally, so I could have it for my fathers moose hunt. I realize that the hourly rates at dealerships can be expensive, but I figured it would be worth it because they are a dodge dealer and they would be able to figure it out faster than an average joe mechanic. Boy was I wrong! The first sketchy situation was that I drove over there with no known battery problems but when I called them later in the day they stated that my battery was dead on arrival so they had to jump it and put a new battery in ($188.59 with labor costs included). On the bill I received it states "customer states battery dead, test and replace as required." Next thing was a squeaky belt which I did mention when I dropped it off. That turned into their adamant recommendation that I need to now have my water pump, fan clutch, and tensioner replaced($646.73). There were some check engine lights associated with the breaking issue. I had them clear the codes and "fix the issues" that caused said codes. There employees told me that the only thing related to my brakes that they could find wrong was a failed brake lamp switch and abs control module so they replaced both (576.84). They "cleared codes, retested system, passed. Test drove good." So after $1585.44 I pay and take my truck out of the parkinglot. Immediately, I realized the brake issue has not been fixed (full brakes by compressing the brake down 1/2 inch)and my traction control light is still on. While on the moose hunt my brakes locked up twice to the point of almost causing me to go off the road. In order to drive I had to shut the truck off, pump the brakes, and repeat until my brakes would release. When I got home I called the dealership and told them what was going on. They apologized and had me bring it in the following week. I dropped it off on Tuesday morning and hadn't received a call so Wednesday at about 4pm I call them to get an update. They said they were still trying to figure it out and that they hadn't realized before that the "parking brake levers at the rear wheels were stuck in the applied position. Will need parking brake shoes and pivots, but did not disassemble rear brakes". They also stated "they dont even know what can of worms this could mean." At this time I paid then another $228.75 for their knowledge and decided they weren't touching my truck again. So, after going in for a small recall issue and brakes, after about $1800 I am still having all the same issues before I dropped it off there. I have never felt so taken advantage of or ripped off in my life. I will never recommend anyone to go there for buying a new vehicle or for service. I am disgusted and extremely angry. More
I have purchased two trucks from this dealership and I'm about to purchase another, the people are great, they thrive on customer service unlike other dealerships (Darlings). Mr. Lovejoy has been nothing le about to purchase another, the people are great, they thrive on customer service unlike other dealerships (Darlings). Mr. Lovejoy has been nothing less then great on finding and getting what I wanted in a truck. Their service department is wonderful to deal with and again unlike (Darlings in Augusta). If you have to travel to Farmington from Augusta it's worth the drive to this dealership and what they don't have they can sure try and find it for you. William Taylor Satisfied Customer and Will be returning.!!! More
