When searching for a new Jetta, I was able to get the best price around at this dealership. However, communication and the customer service was not something I was happy with. I had issues getting verification on financing as well as detailed answers to the questions that I had about financing break-downs. At many times I was unaware of the process that was going on due to the lack of communication, such as if they were able to locate the car I wanted as well as when they could have it available for me to pick-up. I did not receive a call afterward to ask me how my car was other than an email. Overall, I would recommend this dealer if you are looking for a great deal. If customer service is of high priority, I would consider looking elsewhere as communication was lacking before and even after my purchase with follow up questions. More
This was our 1st buying from this dealership. I liked that I looked around the lot and didn't get swarmed in on. When i was ready I went. Inside and Kyle meet me. I have used this dealership before and have always gotten good service, both buying and getting my car serviced. Patrick has been super with his help before and AFTER the sale. James was the first person I saw and he was so knowledgeable. The only reason I rated price as good, is that I always feel that I could have gotten a bit better deal on my old car, but I did feel they were fair and easy to deal with. My husband and I were looking for a new car with great gas milage and decided to try the Volkswagen. We took several models out for a test drive and fell in love with the Golf diesel. Tom Hensen took us out on the road tests and explained about the car's performances, engine, car's features, etc. He bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. Even though we live out of town and did not get to the dealership until about an hour before closing time he still took the time to answer our questions and test drive the cars. I have bought a VW Routan a month back and worked with Ron Oehm and Jeff Hansing. I have sorted everything with Ron (the vehicle color, options & the price) over the phone before going to dealership. I drove to the dealership thinking it would be sign and drive experinece, but Jeff Hansing created a big issue in accepting my pre-approved bank cheque and pushed towards going with dealership financing.For all my previous car purchases, I have used the pre-approved cheque from the same bank at different dealers and no one created an issue. Jeff should have stepped up to provide excellent customer service that any car dealer brag about, instead he was adamant about delivering the vehicle unless I go thru dealership financing. I have been approved 1.9% for 72 months and I have given him couple of options to work with, 1) Asked to offer the same great rate 2) Call my bank for verification of the loan amount approval 3) Finally, I would give my personal cheque and asked to hold the cheque, till the dealership gets the money from the bank, which would be next day. He didn't even try to work with those options and he was not polite enough with me. Ron was honest and polite, Jeff doesn't live up to expectations. So,my overall experience is not good and certainly doesn not live up to the big dealer standards. More
I purchased a car from Frank Boucher on New Years Eve of 2010. Before going to the car dealership I spoke with Jeff, the Sales Manager. I had told him of the deals I was being offered by other dealerships 2010. Before going to the car dealership I spoke with Jeff, the Sales Manager. I had told him of the deals I was being offered by other dealerships. On the phone he and I discussed that I would be getting some gas/visa cards and he indicated to me that if I required more to make this deal happen that "it would not be a problem and I would get what I wanted". About an hour into the deal (Jeff was not there) I asked about the additional gas/visa cards that Jeff had promised me. The salesman and another sales person advised me that they were not informed of this & would call Jeff. They did and he said he did not know what I was talking about. When I came to rate the dealership everything with high marks EXCEPT my dealings with Jeff. I was told to contact him, because "Boucher wanted all of their customers to be happy". I did and Jeff sent me an email back stating that he felt they gave me a very good deal. I cited to him and a few other people that THIS WAS NOT WHAT JEFF HAD TOLD ME. I thought, ok, I need to just let this go...this is just a typical saleman tactic...tell you one thing, then change the rules as it suits him. About a month ago I came into the dealership looking to possibly purchase a used car. I brought my car in for a trade. They had someone look at it...and give me a low ball offer. I had discovered later that the person that gave the low ball offer was again JEFF the sales manager. This brought up all the resentment of how he lied to me a year ago. You would think that for all of the people I have told (and I have told a lot..and will tell a lot more) that Jeff would try to make good on his "word" to me from last year...oh well. If anyone goes to Frank Boucher in Janesville I would not deal with JEFF. Everyone else there (including a nice internet lady) are top notch. Their word means something. More
