They want to take your money. I went for a break change and only got a $200 diagnostic on a rattle noise that is still rattling. They told me they would bend the backing plate awa I went for a break change and only got a $200 diagnostic on a rattle noise that is still rattling. They told me they would bend the backing plate away from my rotor and it stopped. Then they said they recommend $1000 rotor and pads replacement for only the rear. After I opted out, they told me I should be fine for another year because I have about 5mm of pad left and rotors are fine. When I picked my truck up, I drove away and the rattling noise was stronger and louder than before I took it in. $200 to probably make my original problem worse to get me to come back in and pay for more repairs. On top of it they said they wouldn’t charge me for bending the plate. The $200 for nothing should have went towards the pads. But I was tired of listening to them trying to add unnecessary work and charges to my visit just for a bent backing plate. More
