I called Fox Toyota service department in Clinton, Tn. On April 15, 2022 just for a factory recall and oil change. I was told that my vin number was no good. This dealership is run and managed by racist managers and owners. I had a deposit down on a car back in 11/21 and they not only gave my car away to another person, but when they found out I was a minority wh owners. Neither the salesperson nor the sales manager were transparent concerning the questions I presented or the history of the pre-owned car I purchased. I had pre-approval by a lender, but after repeated verbal statements of it they baited me into submitting another electronic credit application under the guise of needing information electronically to fill the deal sheet. It resulted in two more hard inquiries on my credit file. They did this to close the deal on Saturday instead of waiting to get a reply from my financial institution on Monday. They refused to negotiate a better price until the lender forced them to discount $500. Even then, the sales manager gave a line of bologna saying “I looked at your deal and found $500 I can give on it.” I was treated as if I am ignorant. I’m a repeat customer of 25 years but I’ll never deal with them again. More
