Terrible service when getting my navigation updated I took my Chrysler 300 in because of a recall and to get the navigation updated because it keep popping up on my screen that I needed to. My husband took it and Jim Bernzott was the service advisor that told him they could update my navigation. When I picked up my vehicle after 4 days and paid the $110. to update my navigation I assumed it was updated but about 2 weeks later it popped up on my screen that I needed the update so i called and talked with Kenny in the service department about what happened and he told me just to bring it in. I asked if I could make an appt because I couldn't afford to leave my car for a long period of time again and he said...well you can make any appt but if the tech is busy then he can't get to your car. I thought this is why you might make an appt. We went back and forth with that a few times and finally I said okay well can I just get my money back so i can take it somewhere that might be more convenient for me. He put me on hold for like 10 seconds and came back and said...okay I can make you an appt when can you come? I said Friday at like 11...he said...see you then. My husband took the car in and was first accused of not paying for the update and was treated very rudely by the service writer which my husband said was Jim....after several hours they decided oh...they had just done the software update and not the actual navigation update. That costs another 150. and you need to get that through Chrysler...they couldn't even do that at the dealership!! I did not understand so I did call Chrysler and talked to a very helpful person named Seth that told me how it actually works. That the dealership can do the software update but that it is true that I need the navigation update too. He also told me how I could order it and do it myself. That was the first I actually had it explained to me. I also found out that you don't always need a software update that unless you are having glitches or something like that you may not need the software update. This was never explained upfront. The receipt I have from Jim says that - Nav needs updated, customer requested nav updates, current version 5.21 and work performed by Chris Boyd says - updated nav version to 6.22. So as far as I knew it was updated. So...I am now in the process of trying to order the USB to update my car myself. I just want everyone to know that #1. the service department is very rude and does not explain things that need to be done properly...had they done that we would not have had any issues. #2. I have purchased 4 Chrysler/Dodge products and I have a feeling that when I go to trade this one in that I did purchase from Fowler Dodge...I won't be going to Fowler Dodge and I won't be purchasing a Chrysler product. #3. Why does it cost so much to update when I know there are other dealerships that update for free and it is just the simple process of bringing your car in and hooking it up...the customer does not have to do it them selves. #4. How many times will a person that knows nothing about computers want to do business with you when they have to update their vehicle themselves. Just something to think about. I was very very unhappy with the whole experience...the service department at Fowler Dodge needs some serious customer service training. More

They understood the urgency and they got on it first thing. They had me up and running that afternoon. I had actually bought a new Ram 3500 dually from this dealer in the past and they made that sale a pleasant experience. I live in Edmond and travel that far for the good service. More
