Instead of replace head liner they just cleaned it Where to start... We took our 2017 Suburban in for a scheduled morning appointment to check a roof leak and wet spot on our head liner. At about 5:30 Where to start... We took our 2017 Suburban in for a scheduled morning appointment to check a roof leak and wet spot on our head liner. At about 5:30pm, service called to say they needed to order a new head liner and it would take at least 7 days to get the part in. About a week later, they called to say the new head liner came in and to schedule an appointment. We scheduled a morning appointment for a Thursday. We were told the work could take 2 days and were offered a loaner. We signed a rental/lease agreement and drive off in a Tahoe. On Friday, service called to say the tech working on our Suburban had an "emergency" and was out. The car would be worked on Monday and we could keep the loaner thru the weekend. On Monday, around 5:00pm, service called to say the car was ready for pick up. But... Service went on to say they had not replaced the head liner. They had ordered the wrong head liner and he "had the detail guy clean it up real good". We went in to pick up the Suburban. From what we could tell, the wet stain on the head liner was removed - at least good enough for us to take our car back. As we were driving off, dried mud was flinging up on our car from the wheels. I pulled over to check and it appears the car had been parked in the back lot - in mud. It was filthy. First thing we did was drive to a car wash. More

When I arrived I was told it was time to have the transmission fluid changed and the fuel injectors cleaned. This seemed like it was way too early for my truck to need these services. I checked my owners manual and the recommended mileage for a transmission fluid change is at 45k miles (fuel injector cleaning has no recommended interval). I showed it to one of the service staff and they told me that Colorado is a severe driving state and 30k miles was the proper interval for the transmission fluid. Again I double checked the owners manual and the "severe" schedule for transmission fluid is still 45k. Once I pointed that out again, I received the excuse that "they didn't realize my truck was a diesel, and they were quoting me for a regular gas truck." Even if that's true, I'm sure they would have had no problem continuing to change my transmission fluid and charging me for it even after they had figured out it was a diesel. At this point my trust in their service department was greatly diminished. I went to sign the paperwork to just have my oil and my engine and cabin air filters changed. When they showed me the price of the oil change it was not what I had agreed to online when I made my appointment. I had to argue with them to get the advertised price. At the end of the day I received a call that my truck was ready, and in email of the multipoint inspection report. In that email it said my break pads were at 6mm and needed to be changed. I called another Chevy dealership and checked this. The other dealership said that my break pads at 6mm had lots of life left and I wouldn't need to think about replacing them until at least 3mm if not 2mm. I went to go pick up my truck, and when I got in to drive away I noticed that the key for my locking wheel hubs was not in the truck. I went back in to talk with the service department and no one could find the key. They told me I would have to come back the next morning and they would need to break off the wheel locks and put new ones on. Fortunately when I went back the next morning, they had found the key, and no further work was needed. I was still very aggravated that I had to take extra time out of my day to go back to the dealership, and that had I been in a situation where my truck had a flat tire I would not have been able to change it out. The service department did not offer anything to help compensate for my time, aggravation, or putting me in a dangerous position. At this point I feel as though Century Chevy can not be trusted in the services they recommend for your vehicle as their recommendations are grossly overzealous. I also feel like their technicians are unorganized and complacent as they lost my hub key, and had I not been paying attention I would have proceeded to leave with a vehicle I could not have changed a tire on if it had a flat, putting me and my family in a dangerous situation. I can appreciate that this can be a hard task but I made a payment on a vehicle and registered a truck I couldn’t drive. I also had to fight for updates because of a my service agent leaving the company. When I did get my truck back it was filthy. They are working with me to resolve this, but now I have to take more time off from work to get my truck detailed. Giving a dirty vehicle back to a customer is not acceptable. On top of everything, there was an 1/8th tank of fuel left, I never run my vehicles that low. If I have to return your loaners cars back with full tanks, I would hope for the same from you. Special shout out to Frank Molina for stepping up and being a good service agent. More
