I recently purchased a vehicle from Foundation Kia in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and I feel compelled to share my experience due to the deceptive tactics used during the transaction. I was clear that I wa Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and I feel compelled to share my experience due to the deceptive tactics used during the transaction. I was clear that I wanted $17,000 for my trade-in, and the dealership said they could meet this request if I agreed to finance the car rather than pay cash. They explained that financing would benefit them and assured me I could pay off the car at any time without incurring additional interest or costs. Trusting this arrangement, I agreed, believing the process would remain fair and straightforward. However, during the signing process, the amount listed on the contract for my trade-in was only $15,700. When I questioned this, the dealership explained that the difference was offset by “effective sales tax savings.” At the time, I didn’t fully understand what they meant. I was understandably overwhelmed by the complexity of the transaction and focused on loan terms, interest rates, and monthly payments. It wasn’t until I got home and reviewed the contract in a calm environment that I realized the explanation was deceptive. The “effective sales tax savings” they referred to is a benefit of state law, which calculates sales tax based on the price difference between the trade-in value and the cost of the new car. This is not a dealership concession—it is a standard tax rule. In reality, this explanation was used to obscure the fact that they never honored their promise to pay $17,000 for my trade-in. To make matters worse, I later discovered an unexpected $799 charge for a LoJack aftermarket product that I neither requested nor recall being clearly informed about. This charge was buried in the paperwork and added to my frustration. I contacted the dealership and proposed a fair compromise: a refund of $1,449 to cover $650 (half the trade-in difference) and $799 for the unwanted product. In addition, I asked for confirmation that there is no prepayment penalty for paying off the loan early, as they had indicated during the sales negotiation. Despite assurances that my concerns would be reviewed, the dealership has not responded to any of these issues. If the dealership truly believed they had given me a fair and honest deal, they would have done everything in their power to communicate this and address my concerns. Because they cannot back up their deceptive ploy and do not have the truth on their side, they have chosen to ignore me instead. This experience has left me deeply disappointed. While the dealership’s actions may technically be legal, they are far from ethical. I am in the process of contacting consumer agencies to question whether these practices are ethical—or even legal—for that matter. I hope sharing my story will caution other buyers and encourage Foundation Kia to adopt honest and transparent practices moving forward. I will visit here again to post any updates, including whether or not Foundation Kia makes any effort to make things right. More

If they break your car during the service, they take no responsibility and had the audacity to say "The car has over 100K miles so you should expect the valve cover to break on its own..." Left me with a repair of >$1,700 which I will eventually do by myself or take it to a competent set of mechanics, as they don't reside at Foundation Kia WR. Never did I think they would pull this with a Stinger customer. Absolutely "scummy". Do not go there. The GM, Matt Tom, tried to get me help but in the end was ineffective and the Service Department appears to be allowed to screw over customers that have cars over 100K. Their work is shoddy at best. I scheduled an oil change and needed a diagnostic on my front axle. Kia couldn’t perform the diagnostic only the oil change so I made a second appointment for three weeks later. Kia still couldn’t perform front axle. Kia couldn’t perform the diagnostic only the oil change so I made a second appointment for three weeks later. Kia still couldn’t perform a diagnostic on my second appointment because the time of the appointment got here at 3 o’clock they said they couldn’t do it because it was too late in the day schedule a third appointment … Now Josh said the parts that they installed were not warranty and they had to charge me all over again. Would know that they don’t warranty their work. very disappointed More

From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth, transparent, and tailored to my needs. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly, knowledgeable staff who took the time to listen to what I was looking for. They weren't just trying to make a sale—they genuinely wanted to help me find the perfect vehicle. The Kia EV6 is an absolute game-changer, and they made sure I knew every feature and benefit before I even left the lot. The test drive was a blast! I immediately fell in love with the sleek design, the incredible acceleration, and the futuristic tech inside the EV6. But what really made the difference was how easy the team at Foundation KIA made the entire buying process. No pressure, no unnecessary upselling—just straightforward, honest communication. Even the paperwork process was fast and seamless, which is usually the part I dread most when buying a car. I walked out with my new EV6 feeling excited and confident that I’d made the right choice. The staff checked in afterward to make sure I was happy with everything, and their customer service didn’t stop after the sale—it's clear they care about long-term relationships. If you're considering an EV, I highly recommend the Kia EV6. And if you're looking for a dealership that makes the whole process enjoyable, go straight to Foundation KIA! This is hands down the best car-buying experience I've ever had. More
Avoid this Kia dealership! Foundation Kia sold me a Certified Pre-Owned Kia EV6 with a live mouse in it. The dealer knew something was wrong because between our 1st test drive Foundation Kia sold me a Certified Pre-Owned Kia EV6 with a live mouse in it. The dealer knew something was wrong because between our 1st test drive and 2nd test drive the dealer 'cleaned' and air freshened the car. But they didn't notice mouse droppings when 'cleaning'. We test drove theEV6 the 1x on 8/10/24. We bought the EV6 on 8/17 plus an extended warranty. On 8/31 we noticed the car smelled and found mouse droppings in the car. We didn't notice the smell sooner due to the strong air freshner the dealer used in the car. We found mouse droppings all over the car. We have never had a mouse in our garage or other car. The only mouse problem is in the EV6. My partner and I both work and he is taking graduate classes so it is hard to bring the car in on a weekday. When I brought the EV6 back to Foundation on 9/7 service refused to help me because I hadn't made an appointment. The salesperson challenged me for not calling about the problem, not making an appointment, and not bringing in the car sooner. They refused to help me and told me to talk with the general manager but the GM wouldn't be in until 9/9. When my partner returned on 9/9 the GM refused to speak to my partner. The salesperson said the dealership won't take responsibility for the mouse, won't help remove the mouse and clean the car, and won't cover the cost if we remove the mouse and clean the car. The salesperson told my partner that if he didn't take the car off their lot, they would have it towed and impounded. We are now stuck with trying to find and catch the mouse, making sure the car doesn’t have damage, and getting the car detailed without any help from the dealer or financial assistance. Because the car smells, this also involves us borrowing or renting cars so that we can get to work. Once you've spent your money on a car at Foundation Kia, the people at this dealership do not care about you or your vehicle. Do NOT buy from Foundation Kia. More
My latest appointment was the worst! WHERE IS JOSHUA?! new ppl didn’t explain anything to me after oil change was completed like the over view of my car NOTHING! That page says green - r WHERE IS JOSHUA?! new ppl didn’t explain anything to me after oil change was completed like the over view of my car NOTHING! That page says green - red on where my car stands & it was black & white! I saw my car pull up to finish area & I waited a solid 10min, finally I went up & the guy had no answer why he didn’t call me up. My breaks had no squeaking before I went in but drove home & next day they are squeaking. It’s A 2024 I got it in October. WHERE IS JOSHUA! Whoever let him go should be fired! He & his team were awesome! Now for the price I pay for an oil change + tire rotation is a rip off! I’m a disabled veteran & I wasn’t even given an offer for discount. I read my over view page & it said change cabin filter $75. I went to advance auto & bought a nice cabin filter $6. & foundation want over $40 for part & I YouTube & installed it MYSELF for free & foundation wanted $35.! It’s 99% lean I will not be going back for ANY services! & I most definitely will tell others who ask me about my review of foundation KIA & will give them MY best opinion. More

Instead of 12000 miles per year i onyy received 10000 and my lease term was changed from paying for 36000 to 39000 months. Partially my fault for not walking out right away but to what extent should one be able to trust what car sales reps and finance people promise? Very very disappointed. More
I tried to put a deposit down on a car and their sales person (George) put it on the wrong vehicle. He told me the car was ready and it would be arriving the next day so I can get the loan (that was good person (George) put it on the wrong vehicle. He told me the car was ready and it would be arriving the next day so I can get the loan (that was good for 45 days) sorted out. The next day I asked for the VIN and that's when he told me "there was a mixup" and "would you be interested in this other vehicle?" I tried calling and getting things sorted out and got continuously ghosted by the dealership and never given a straight answer. Finally started talking with the manager (Ricky) who attempted to help me by finding the vehicle I had wanted and said he was going to try to contact another customer to see if they were intending on going through with their ordered vehicle that matched my requested specs. I ended up going up to Fort Collins Kia because I didn't want to deal with it. Icing on the cake, based on the reviews on this site, it seems like it's not the first time people have been unhappy with George. More
Purchase was fine. Now that we need warranty service for the battery, they offered us an appointment 25 days away. Unacceptable. Buy your car somewhere else.
