I had a very good experience with these guys. I'll first say that I've had some really good experiences in car shopping and some really bad ones. It's my personal thought that many people don't look forward to car shopping because it can be this long drawn out battle and just not pleasant and sometimes lacking integrity. I had a surprisingly pleasant experience here. I talked to MC on the phone. I had done my homework and knew what I was looking for. MC was extremely helpful over the phone and I wanted to work some things out before I headed up there because I live about an hour away. The numbers made sense, so I headed up to the dealership. He passed the deal on to Cliff as he was not going to be there by the time I got there. It went really well with Cliff. It was actually a but like sitting down with an on old friend. You can tell if somebody is just being nice to get something from you or to close a deal. Cliff seemed real and sincere. He built a great rapport and I genuinely enjoyed my time with him. Moises in finance was helpful, transparent and good at building a rapport as well. I met several other people on the team just as I was waiting. And they just seemed to have a really good team of people over there from the ones that I met. I did have to wait a while. We had already worked out the numbers, but there were other deals closing in front of mine in finance. Fyi, if you don't know, sometimes dealerships will draw things out intentionally because the longer it takes going back and forth (since your time is valuable) you have more invested in the deal and makes you less likely to walk away from the deal the longer that you sit in a dealership (insert any number of unpleasant car buying experience tactics here). That was not the case here. Again, things went smoothly and the wait was not a tactic because the numbers were already agreed upon, but just waiting to process them through finance. I came back the next day because I needed to drop off additional keys for my trade-in. I had noticed a little bit of tar or something that had kicked up on the side of the vehicle and there was a mark. I didn't honestly think that it would come out. They had their detail crew look at it and cleaned it all up and got the mark out. It looked great. I was excited for that and they took care of me. I can say my experience here was great. Much better than one might expect if you've had unpleasant car buying experiences before. I imagine it helped that I did my homework, knew some things and of course the conversations prior to coming up to the dealership. I would also recommend others to be educated buyers. Cliff and MC were great guys to deal with in sales. But everybody I touched base with here were friendly. I knew where I needed the numbers to be to work for me, so that was part of it, but no one tried to hard sell me on anything. We simply had conversations and that was great to me. This was my experience with them. I would recommend them. One more note. From the car shopping that I did, it seems like the Outlander is one of the best value propositions out there in it's segment. I test drove a couple different models that were 30k plus at the dealership of another car manufacturer. They had pretty slick looking interior and exteriors but they had a 1.5 L engine or something like that. The Outlander had much better performance. And the SEL seems to have a lot of tech on it for the price point. More
