No Need To Be Apprehensive I decided at the last minute to get a new Toyota Camry. After calling about 4 different dealerships, and even getting the best offer from another deal I decided at the last minute to get a new Toyota Camry. After calling about 4 different dealerships, and even getting the best offer from another dealer, I decided to go to Fordham Toyota! As I explained to Charetta, it's was all about honesty and service. Charetta has been nothing but honest, charming, proficient and professional the whole time. If it wasn't for her, I would have NEVER went to this dealership! I told her all the questions I had and within no more than 30 minutes she had the answers, the right answers. I stressed to her that I am not looking to play games or waste my time. She assured me that I need not to worry. She told me that I will be working with sales person Matt. As soon as I got off of work, Which was 7Pm, I ran to the Fordham Toyota, where I was greeted by a sales person. I requested to speak to Sabrina, as directed by Charetta. Sabrina came out and introduced me to Matt. Matt was ready to get down to business and knew exactly what I was there for! All I had to do was pick a color of the car. I was very tired and allowed Matt to pick a color. He came back and we started talking numbers. I put on my boxing gloves, thinking " let's get ready to rumbleeeee". I filled out the credit application and waited for Matt to come from taking it to the finance manager. It took him no more than 20 minutes, but because I was tired from working all day, I felt like it took hours. He came back and took me down to Michael. Michael's body language can come off very strong and intimidating. I laced up my imaginary gloves even tighter, put on my poker face, took out my million and one paperwork. I was adamant on me being in control of this conversation. I started things off on the wrong foot, all because I was preparing for war when I didn't have to. Yes the numbers were off from what Charetta and I spoke about, honestly I can't blame them, they were testing me as I was them! Things did get very heated when we discussed interest rates, and yes Michael we both know deep down it makes a world of a difference when making those payments! I got really upset and stormed out, even after I got my insurance and paid for it, yes I admit I jumped the gun on practically everything the moment I sat down to speak to the finance manager. They didn't go after me, they let me go. I sat in my friends car, to breathe, think straight, for some reason I couldn't think in the dealership, now I realize that what was my own demise. My gut told me it was a great deal, go back, relax and be positive, they are trying to help you. I went back in the first thing I did was apologize to Michael, told him about the numbers, he called another sales person ( sorry I forgot your name) BOOM, fixed! The finance rate, Michael wasn't budging from, that right eyebrow told me so ;-) So I compromised, Matt came down asking " Am I getting the car from the warehouse" with out hesitation Michael said "yes, sh'e leaving with the car". I smiled a huge smile, I removed my boxing gloves, let go of my fears, relaxed and started treating Michael like a human instead of a blood thirsty shark. After that it literally was like the rain storm stopped, the clouds began to part and the sun was shining through as bright as a hot summer day! Mind you it was like 10:30 at NIGHT! All the tension was gone! We had laughs and before I knew it I was signing an unbeatable deal! Got my copies and asked Michael, how did he know I was going to get the car, he said cause your a smart woman! Lol. Classic! He apologized to me after I expressed how I was feeling, he gave me a nice little advice: not everyone is out to hurt you. You didn't give me a chance to help you. At that moment I realized how much a wicked witch from the west I was being. I proceed to go upstairs and wait for my car, It was late and everyone was leaving. I began to get worried after 30 minutes had passed, the sales person whom name I can't remember assured me Matt was coming. He was very nice and we had casual talk. About an hour and some minutes later, Matt came in. The sales guy asked him what took him so long he said I had to move the other car's, I filled up the tank, and these next words he spoke, swept my heart away, I had to get the car washed for her! Wowwww. It was now going on 12 Midnight and Matt did all of those things for me. I mean wowww!!! He recognized that this was a huge accomplishment for me and Matt wanted it to be perfect! And it was!! I was too excited and dead tired to take Matt up on the offer of educating me on the features of the camera, he invited me back the next day to spend one on one time to connect my Bluetooth and go over the capabilities and features of the car. Even to this day, I get emails congratulating me and extending their help if i shall need anything! I am so grateful for all that EVERYONE has done for me at this dealership! For all who is reading this, I hope my experience will help make your decision on where to purchase a car from! YMMV!!!! Thank you so much Matt, Charetta, and Michael!! Place is wonderful and Jeannette Lawton is AMAZING!!! I found this service center (which, btw, is located in upper Manhattan - the sales center is in the Bronx, service center is in upper Manhattan) by ge I found this service center (which, btw, is located in upper Manhattan - the sales center is in the Bronx, service center is in upper Manhattan) by getting a list of local authorized service centers from US Toyota headquarters, then googling them for reviews. This one came out top by a very large margin and having gone there for my boss' cars for years now, I can personally attest to the many reasons why. They know exactly what they are doing, do it extremely well and efficiently, keep the costs down and always keep the customer informed. Also, for any concerned females reading this review - I am female, always go in alone, and have never once felt cheated, talked down to, harrassed or considered anything other than a valued customer equal to all others. The jewel in the crown is Jeannette Lawton. Before I say anything about her, I would like to state that I do not know her from anywhere other than this Toyota service place - I have absolutely zero connection with her other than this and the only reason for me to write a review about her here is because she is really, truly, so wonderful that she deserves a great review. She has been my go-to person ever since she started working there. I immediately noticed her high intelligence, kindness, professionalism, sense of humor, amazing language skills (extreme fluency in at least Spanish and English that I've witnessed) and complete knowledge of everything relating to the cars and customers. (This, by the way, is a very shortened list of her skills.) To give an example of something that happened today - my boss received a recall notice about a problem with his car. I called up Jeannette, told her that we received a notice, she knew instantly which notice I was talking about and told me it wasn't for my boss' current car - it was sent to him mistakenly and was for his prior Toyota, which had been lost with Hurricane Sandy. I defy anyone to find someone better than Jeannette. More

Less than 24 Issah, was the best car sales men ever. Must of the time when you buy a car it can take day or two or longer. Mr.Baba the sales representative gave me multiple options, and based on my small budget I was able to make my decision I had a good experience overal. However, I was promised a 5.65% APR from Mr.Baba for 5 years, and when I finalized the deal with the financial manager he changed it up to a 9% APR for 6 years! Being unable to give me my original offer. Nevertheless, I still went on with purchase because I was already excited with the vehicle and because of the problems I was having with my previous car. I also promised myself to pay it off before the time period with no fees, but to this date it left a slight sour taste in my mouth because it's not the original deal I thought I was going to get from the original sales rep. Mr.Baba did his job and was very efficient with it, but I would urge the company to be more true to their word between the sales rep and the financial managers, there should be no discrepancy throughout the transition. More
