My 2015 Ford F350 broke down on the side of the road just north of Spartanburg. It had 114,000 miles on it. The maintenance was perfect up to this point. I had it towed to the dealership for they informed me north of Spartanburg. It had 114,000 miles on it. The maintenance was perfect up to this point. I had it towed to the dealership for they informed me had a broken valve spring in the number seven cylinder. I picked the truck up six weeks later with an $8000 bill. There were wires dangling down underneath the dashboard that had not been reconnected. I popped the hood to check the work. There were cut cables. None of the hoses and wiring had been rerouted correctly. I called out the service manager. He said to give him an hour, and he would have the truck ready. I came back an hour later drove the truck back to Asheville and then left for Florida on Highway 40. 10 minutes out of town, the coolant hose which had been incorrectly installed popped off the radiator dumping all the coolant and overheating the engine. I called the dealership. they apologized but said they could do nothing to help because it was Saturday and they were understaffed. I than called my daughter who brought me $100 worth of coolant. I repaired the truck myself and continued back to Florida. The next week the truck began making a horrible knocking noise. I took it to an independent mechanic because I no longer trust ford. It had a check engine light, low tire pressure light on, running roughly and knocking. The mechanic said the AC compressor was holding on by one bolt and that the rest had been stripped out by a mechanic. $700 later my truck is now semi roadworthy. I had to rent a car for work which cost $500 so my total out-of-pocket for my Spartanburg experience is $9700. More
I took my Shelby GT500 in for an oil change and don’t plan on going back. The tech spilled oil on my like new engine and left oil spilled in the engine bay. There was oil smudges on my driver door that wa plan on going back. The tech spilled oil on my like new engine and left oil spilled in the engine bay. There was oil smudges on my driver door that was left as well. I get a text to leave a 5 star review or let them know if there was issues. I let them know about issues with the mess they made and left. They offered to clean it up. My reply was No Thanks, I already have it scheduled with my professional detailing man to clean the engine bay to eliminate the burnt oil smell. If you expect 5 star reviews you should stress to your employees to give 5 star service. When a customer brings in a $100,000 car to be serviced and leaves with oil smudging on the door, a mess under the hood and burning oil smell. That is absolutely unacceptable to me. What upsets me the most the employee did not even attempt to clean it up and just left it obvious to see. I will be leaving a 1 star review. Don’t recommend if you have a nice vehicle and are a particular person. I don’t plan on returning for any future service at this dealership. More
I wanted to buy a car from them they have it listed for 17,657, I offered 17,000 out the door, I wad told they couldn't do it , said it was cheaper to finance it, I said ok how much, & was sent a quote, 17,657, I offered 17,000 out the door, I wad told they couldn't do it , said it was cheaper to finance it, I said ok how much, & was sent a quote, 2,814 down 18,973.68 balance 21 787.68. That's 4,130.68 more, why not put down the full price instead of trying to get me to finance so they can get more out of us. The price they have listed made me think I could offer 17,000. Out the door & pay my own taxes where I live. I don't care what jdpower says it is not worth 20,xxx. it's worth about 15,000. They will let it set there & not sale it & have to take it to the auction & get a fraction of what I offered for it. This is the 3rd time I tried to make an offer on different cars & they waited to long & had to take them to the auction & got less than I offered, I know because I checked it out. That's what happens when someone tries to be a hog & miss out on a good deal. More
