NO Honesty or Integrity I recently purchased a used 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from van drunen ford . The car I thought had everything going for it when I saw it on auto trader. I recently purchased a used 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from van drunen ford . The car I thought had everything going for it when I saw it on auto trader. It was at a ford dealership, it was a one owner, and it had 43000 miles. I am out of state and had to rely on the honesty and integrity of the salesman which was a mistake. I explained to the salesman that I am a T2 paraplegic and needed reliable transportation. I was told that after I asked repeatedly was this a good solid car I got a resounding yes. After negotiating the deal, I received the car in the middle of June. I had to wait a couple of weeks to get hand controls put on the car. When I started driving the car I noticed an immediate skip and after about a month the check engine light came on. I made an appointment with an ASE certified mechanic to get it checked out. The mechanic in the process of checking it out put it on the rack and the underside was roached (rusted), gas lines, brakes and brake lines have to be replaced. according to my mechanic it is unsafe to drive, its leaking brake fluid. Imagine learning being sold an unsafe car after being told how solid it was and how their service department had checked it out. The repairs to make the car safe is going to cost upwards of 3000 dollars. I called the GM and asked if they would stand by their product and by their word. I was basically told it was a good car when it left the lot and if I didnt want problems to buy a new car. Me being in a wheelchair i have problems loading a chair in a new car. If the employees at vandrunen will withhold pertinent information about the quality and durability and sell a car that was unsafe to a guy in a wheelchair, just to make a profit, imagine what they would do to you. Me , my family and anybody I met on the road could have been injured or killed because a salesman wanted to make an easy dollar. More

He helped our daughter with her first car purchase, helped with ordering my 2004 150, and assisted us in purchasing our 2016 Explorer. The 150 died with 215,000 miles on it [that longevity is a tribute to the Van Drunen service department]. When the 150 died Tom went to work finding an Explorer that met our current towing needs. I consider the whole organization to be like family. Don McIntyre More
