Used car purchase I have previously purchased two new cars from Dave Embs. He is nothing like the typical "car salesman" that just pressures you to buy a car. First experience at this dealership(2002) was bad, the salesman that is, whom I found out later didn't last long there. Since they were close I figured I would just go there to test drive a couple cars I was thinking about getting and then go buy elsewhere. That's where Dave comes in with no pressure, honesty and a great guy. I told him what I was thinking about getting and he let me test drive a Focus. When we got back with it there was a Escape waiting and then a Fusion. Never pressure, he just asked what we thought and then said why don't you take this one for a ride. I was ready to leave but Dave was the factor that made us end up buying a car from here. Well I called him up and said I was looking for a used car and gave him all the details. Week later and I have my new 2008 Milan. Great guy once again, I looked at 3 different ones and ended up we both agreed I should get this one. It was the cheapest one and he never pressured me towards the others. Ken Crowe the used car manager is also a great guy. He will let you know anything at all that he knows about a used car. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used car from here. One bad salesman almost ruined many years of great service for me from Van Drunen. Thanks Dave, glad you were there to make it what it has become. As I walked through the door I was immediately greeted by a genuinely nice person Tom Preusser. We discussed my current car, my driving needs and then went out on the lot and looked at models. I selected a 2018 Ford Escape and we went for a test drive. Love the car! Handles great and has very cool analog dials on the dashboard as well as plenty of current tech. Good mix of style and function. Back at the dealership we started working on the deal. No high pressure sales, just whatever I needed to suit my needs. Got a GREAT trade-in value on my 9 year old car. As well as every available Ford incentive. In the end, I got $0 down, 0% interest, no finance fees....yes....! Thank you Barbara Harvey, Finance Manager! And left with a monthly that I can manage, no "juice" and a great car. Plus they are great people. This dealership has been in business since 1930. They know what they are doing and do not have to resort to any sort of pressure tactics or silliness. They simply sell and care for cars. GO! you wont be sorry. More

I signed some credit apps and left, they took care of everything and even gave me a better deal for my trade . They took very good fare of me and got me into the car I wanted and not the one they thought would work best for me. Highly recommend! Thanks guys!! More

My salesperson was Skip Solarczyk he didn't put no pressure on me at all. I went to another ford dealership( will not mention there name). I felt like they bs me and wasn't trying to work with me. After that went down hill, I drove past van druen and seen my car. I stopped and talk to Skip at least 2 times before I really decided to go ahead try and get the car. It didn't take that long for the deal to happen and it was right up my alley. The service was great, I would recommend this ford to everyone. Tony More

The trim and color I was looking for was not available, but Skips hard work and commitment made by possible. He found the truck I was looking for over the weekend in Indiana and had it shipped to the dealer so I can pick. One of the easiest buys I have ever made I initially looked for deals for a new or recently used Ford Edge and came across offers from this dealer. I entered a request via the internet and r I initially looked for deals for a new or recently used Ford Edge and came across offers from this dealer. I entered a request via the internet and received a prompt response. My wife and I got to the dealership about 11 AM on a Saturday and were immediately met by Skip Solarczyk. Skip greeted us warmly and asked in what cares we were interested. I showed him the internet page for a new Ford Edge with a price I thought was great and Skip seemed surprised at the price displayed. it was already reduced by rebates etc. and Skip went back to research as to whether that price was real. he came back and assured us it was and also assured us that it was as good or better than the price offered to Ford employees. I had no way of verifying that but Skip seemed sincere and trustworthy. Negotiations on the final price and costs went quickly. My wife and I were very satisfied with the price and agreed on the deal. As we waited for the paperwork, Skip had the car cleaned up and filled with gas! Another plus. We found Skip to be a non pressure and relaxed salesman; quite the difference from other dealerships. In the past, my wife and I have walked out of dealerships with no deal due to pushy sales people and managers. We felt great about dealing with Skip. We then met Barb for all the paperwork. Again a great surprise! She was personable and genuine and stepped us all through the signatures etc. One down side is her signature pad needs to be replaced; it was barely readable and didn't record signatures all that well. Barb was also quite helpful and honest about the extended warranties available. Ordinarily, I would have immediately shut her down on those but she explained the programs quite well and the benefits and costs of each alternative. She did her job so well, my wife and I agreed to a good extended warranty and service plan. I would like this vehicle to last a long time and good preventative maintenance is essential. All in all, this was one of the most pleasant sales experiences I have ever had! Not only in buying a car but for other major purchases. I would wholeheartedly recommend Van Drunen Ford to my friends. I may even make the 29 mile tripe to the dealership for service! The only down side is that Skip is a Chicago Cubs fan and the dealership is on the South Side! Go White Sox! Vernon Anderson More
