We were visiting Spokane from the Seattle area and stopped in to do some window shopping. Although not really in the market for a new car we were impressed with the auto sales going on. Scott showed stopped in to do some window shopping. Although not really in the market for a new car we were impressed with the auto sales going on. Scott showed us around as well as took us out to test drive two cars. We decided on the spot to purchase but due to the fact that we did not have our trade with us, the logistics just were not there to complete the deal. I feel somwhat guilty of not at least offering Foothills one last chance to match the trade-in but hard to do for a car they had never seen. I would have driven the 270 plus miles to make the purchase with this dealership and Scott due to how impressed my wife and I were with them. If you are in the market for a Mazda product, please go to Foothills and if possible ask for Scott. More
Everything was fine, the sales man was very helpful, nice and friendly. THEN we were brought inside to talk numbers. I was adamant about using our own bank and financing ourselves. We were passed over to wha and friendly. THEN we were brought inside to talk numbers. I was adamant about using our own bank and financing ourselves. We were passed over to what I believe was a "closer" who was VERY pushy with the in house financing. I think I must have told him at least 4 times that we were going to go through our own bank ourselves. He was really, really pushy and skeezy (he kept calling me darlin' and hon', unprofessional in my book). And this is where it gets good... "I say what are you going to give me for my trade-in" ('89 vw vanagon) he says, and I swear it on my grandmother's grave, my ears DID NOT decieve me, he says "$2,500." I say "$2,500?" He laughs and says "No, no I said $500, is $2,500 what you wanted me to say dear?" I say "Do I need to clean my ears out?" and I look at my husband who also distinctly heard the $2,500. At this point we are all laughing, because it's so unbelievably appalling, and I can't seem to wrap my mind around what exactly he is playing at. So that's it I'm done with the game (I didn't have much paitience for it to begin with:P) I name my price which is low and he comes back and says sorry we can't do that, we leave. Oh and I forgot to mention he bad mouthed his salesman and as we were leaving was having a laugh with his co-worker at my expense! Unfortunately, I can't remember the "closers" name and probably for obvious reasons they list none of their employees on the website. But that aside, I can't begin to express how dissatified I am at the level of customer service I recieved. Unprofessional and pushy and the obvious lie?? More
