Pilot Program for Customer Service at a Car Dealership I don't know if Folsom Lake Hyundai is a pilot program for how dealers and car buyers should interact, but if it is not, it should be. Dealing with E I don't know if Folsom Lake Hyundai is a pilot program for how dealers and car buyers should interact, but if it is not, it should be. Dealing with Edwin and David was an unexpected surprise and we are very happy with the vehicle we purchased. Edwin strikes me as a manager who knows how to create a balance between accomplishing company objectives, while bending enough to meet the customer's needs, in order to make a deal happen and being enjoyable to work with through the process. My thought going into the process was that this was a game. The dealer plays the game, the buyer plays the game, and like in poker you're just trying to play your best hand. Edwin made the point that it isn't like poker because there is always a loser in that scenario and that his goal is to ensure that both parties feel like they won. It's a great approach and that's what happened when we purchased our car last night. David was also a very knowledgeable sales person and I felt as though his knowledge of the product was greater than my own. In comparison, we shopped at a couple other dealers and the sales staff was uneducated on their product, the sales managers were arrogant, and they had the attitude that they didn't care whether they earned our business or not. I don't think I've ever written a review for anything, which tells you how much I valued the experience yesterday with Edwin and David. More

We had looked a few weeks prior because our current car from Hyundai would be coming due soon from a 3yr lease. We test drove and narrowed down what our next lease would be and they were very kind at that time. About a week after we were there (still 5 mos prior to our lease being up) they called and said they had "exactly what we wanted." We made an appt. and when we got there they didn't have exactly what we wanted but searched the database. While everything took too long and I was a bit bothered that they didn't really have what I requested they came up with what would have been my 3rd choice. Overall I like the car so far and both sales guys (both named, Dave) and the Manager, Edwin were kind to us. More

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!! This dealership is unbelievable! My husband went there on a Friday night to purchase us a family car. We loved this 2011 Chrysler town and country tha This dealership is unbelievable! My husband went there on a Friday night to purchase us a family car. We loved this 2011 Chrysler town and country that was priced at $16,999. They offered him a loan with 16.9% interest and I wasn't delighted about that interest rate. So we got in contact with our bank and got approved for $19,000 with a 6.29% interest rate. We called back and they made it pretty clear they were upset that they were losing out on those extra few thousand dollars because we got a private loan not theirs. So they upped the price to a little under $19,000. We were okay with that since we got approved for a little over the amount they were asking. We had the bank send over the approval info and the dealer mike that we dealt with said he would pull the van off the floor and hold it for us since we were in lake Tahoe for Easter. We were supposed to go sign the papers tonight and pick up our family car but then we received a phone call from the dealer mike informing us that they sold our car!!! They told us we should have bought it on Friday and went back on their agreement to hold it for us. Guess they didn't like that we got a better loan so their promise to hold it was really a promise to hold it until someone who will use their loan for more money comes along. When I called to complain the sales/finance manager refused to give me the info to his higher up aka GM and kept trying to justify selling the car we were promised and admitted he was the one that sold the car and insisted it was because someone saw it online, came and asked to see it and that because it was still on the lot he absolutely had to show it and sell it to them regardless of the fact that we had a check from our bank already being sent to them and car insurance for the car! I guess they lack common sense and common courtesy! I get better customer service at McDonald's! More

He chased us out today by not wanting to deal with us on the price or making order for us. I was surprised since economy is down, they should value the customers. No wonder the dealer doesn't have good business. He chased out all the customers and just want to get paid for not bringing $$ to the dealer owner?? More
