I was looking specifically for a dealer certified Honda Passport and CarFax showed me that Folsom Lake Honda had several of these in stock. I drove to their facility and was greeted by Thomas Diefendorf. I Passport and CarFax showed me that Folsom Lake Honda had several of these in stock. I drove to their facility and was greeted by Thomas Diefendorf. I drove three different Passports, one new 2025 with the Trailsport trim, one 2022 with Trailsport trim and one 2023 with Trailsport trim with the extra HPD package. I found that I liked the 2023 with the package. I was at first disappointed that since the cars were on a Black Friday sale they were listed with “No Haggle Pricing’ and I was unable to negotiate a lower price. I left the premises and later that night I was contacted by Thomas and was convinced to come back in the following day. Thomas brought in his manager, Tom Palombi and we worked out several concessions which included a great deal on a trailer hitch which I really wanted to add. Thomas Diefendorf and Tom Palombi worked with me to complete the sale to my utmost satisfaction. After the sale was completed and delivered, Thomas followed up by contacting me several times showing me that he was my advocate and even helped me to to resolve any issues or questions that I had on the vehicle. I highly recommend anyone coming to this dealer look him up. He is an awesome sales person. More
I had a terrible experience here. I went to go to this dealer to gather some information about possibly purchasing a Honda Civic or maybe a honda accord As I have had two honda accord I went to go to this dealer to gather some information about possibly purchasing a Honda Civic or maybe a honda accord As I have had two honda accords in the past that I loved about twenty years ago. I was up front with the sales person and let him know that I'm still in the Explorratory/ research phase of car shopping. I don't know if I want a civic or if I want another type of vehicle. I haven't driven any other vehicles yet. But I wanted to test-drive the base model Civic. I explained we were just looking for an inexpensive commuter car.It didn't need to have all the" Bells and whistles, " but something that was safe, reliable, sturdy, and had excellent gas mileage. I also did not want to have the Turbo engine. He stated that he had a sports trim level that had a aspirated engine. So, I agreed to drive that to see if I liked the aspirated engine and the feel of the way the car drove since they did not have the vehicle with the base model trim package or even in the color that I wanted. But I said I would like to drive the vehicle anyway, because if I don't like the way the vehicle handles and drives then it's a moot point, if the vehicle I'm standing in front of which is bright blue is not the color that I want or if the vehicle that I'm standing in front of has a whole bunch of accessories that I don't want or need. I can always order the correct colored vehicle with the accessories I want later if I like the car, but I do need to drive it first to determine that. Basically.the person took me on a test drive just out of the actual parking lot and down the side street that ran parallel to the dealership.I turned the car around at the end of the culdesac and came back into the dealership. I was literally gone less than one minute; then back into the parking lot. And when I got out of the vehicle. The person tried to get me to come in and start crunching all the numbers for buying the vehicle. This is not the first time that he had mentioned this. In fact, he had mentioned it several times and each time. I kept saying that I'm in the fact gathering stage. I'm not sure if this is the type of vehicle that I want, but I had every intention of getting his card and if after looking at a couple competitors, if I still was interested in the Honda, I was going to circle back and come talk to him. However, he proceeded to berate me because I told him. I used to sell cars before which is true and told me. Then,I should know how this works. And that this is not an amusement park for me to take rides! He screamed this at me. I was definitely shocked. Then he jumped in the car and sped through the parking lot around the corner in the parking lot. Screeching the tires As if to communicate with me non verbally and through his actions to show me how angry he was as he put the car back! I have literally never seen anything like that period it was like a professional adult car sales.Benz threw a literal fit right in front of me and I didn't even know what to say at that point so I got in my car and left. However, I have never been treated so bad in my entire life. I was nothing but up front and honest with him. As to where I was at in my car buying process. I wasn't ready to buy a car yet and I got nothing but high pressure sales tactics and then rudeness when I didn't want to go in and sit down and crunch the numbers to buy the car immediately. so I just want everyone to know. This is not the place to go. They will not treat you with honesty, ethics and integrity. And there will be a more detailed formalized letter to let either the owner of the company know and/or management know. What transpired and this was not just done in front of me either. There is another witnesses. I will let the other person speak for themselves. I will say that their test drive before mine was quick as well. I know because I was in the vehicle. We will send a letter as it was unprofessional behavior to say the least. More
I had battery issues in inclement weather on my way to Salinas to meet with a funeral home there to finalize arrangements for my loved one on December 6th. Stopping for gas at Costco, it took 15 minutes t Salinas to meet with a funeral home there to finalize arrangements for my loved one on December 6th. Stopping for gas at Costco, it took 15 minutes to restart my car from the pump. I directly drove to the dealership and was told there would be a 3-4 hour wait to be seen without an appointment, which would have caused me to miss the funeral home appointment. Rescheduling would have been difficult and my hotel lodging was non-fundable. Erynn Thurmond and Ku Lee were very kind and empathetic to my situation and replaced my battery in under an hour so I wouldn’t miss my appointment. I think these employees went above and beyond to help and support me during my sad time of loss. I am very thankful for their kindness and assistance. More

Great experience with Folsom Lake, specifically Phillip who was able to find the car I was looking for. I understand inventory is limited because of demand and constraints, but he went above and beyond to who was able to find the car I was looking for. Customer We went to this dealership for a Honda Accord Sport. We test drive it and negotiate a deal thinking it's the car we tested drive. Once we reach a deal We went to this dealership for a Honda Accord Sport. We test drive it and negotiate a deal thinking it's the car we tested drive. Once we reach a deal we came out and the manager and salesman switch up the car, gave us a different car. I told them that if I knew they were playing dirty business deal I wouldn't waste my time. They play it off like they didn't know what was going on. This dealership is dirty and they play dirty business. Who know how many people they had scam due to the dirty negotiations pratice they play on me. I highly do not recommend this dealership for anyone. This process was also through Costco car program and at the end of the deal they play dirty negotiations business, switch up the car and didn't inform me anything about what their dirty business trick they were gonna do. The deal was agreed by me and the dealership and then we come to find out they try to play us for a fool. I complaint and requested to talk to the managers and all the employees try to avoid me because they knew they try to pull a dirty business deal but it didn't go according to their dirty plan! More
