My experience working with Kim Cross was outstanding. He was such a gentleman and helped me all the way with the purchase and trade-in of my old car. I couldn't have asked for a nicer person to help me with my purchase and personal circumstances that Mr. Cross provided. I highly recommend him!!!! We have bought 2 Honda's from him and a Toyota from Brown Toyota and been very pleased with Brown. They are a fair company. Thanks again Kim. It was a pleasure working with you. Love my Odyssey! More
We had a great experience buying our car from this dealer. Our sales agent, Steve Young was not pushy and made us take our time in making a decision. He gave us given options to be able to get the mod dealer. Our sales agent, Steve Young was not pushy and made us take our time in making a decision. He gave us given options to be able to get the model we really want which is the Honda CRV EX. I like the price of the car and overall I like its performance. More

My parents bought a 1999 Odyssey van from Brown. I am still driving it. Mom has since purchased a new Odyseey van, I have purchased a CRV, my husband has purchased a Civic. Let's just say, we wouldn't still driving it. Mom has since purchased a new Odyseey van, I have purchased a CRV, my husband has purchased a Civic. Let's just say, we wouldn't go anywhere else. I have done price comparisons in several counties and Brown cannot be beat. I have had service done on the 1999 vehicle and have confidence in the work. I continue to drive this van now with 216,000 miles. I have no worries. The service department is friendly and accommodating. Salesman are personable and reasonable and never pushy. I never felt pressured to buy and was warmly welcomed back each time I left to go shop around. In the end, though, the prices, the service, the smiles, just can't be beat ! More
The service department at Brown Honda is always friendly, helpful, and responsive. WE have worked directly with Dave Sloan for several years as our service rep and he goes out of his way to help us track ne helpful, and responsive. WE have worked directly with Dave Sloan for several years as our service rep and he goes out of his way to help us track needed and UN-necessary service even when we are not sure...he doesn't just recommend to have work done to create business. He constantly looks out for OUR best interests making recommendations about what to do, not do, and even giving us good-customer bonuses when appropriate. We also recently had our car washed and "detailed" after a long road trip and we have NEVER had such a clean car in every nook and cranny and they neatly organized/stored all the little stuff that we had in various compartments in the car into boxes so that every nook and cranny was emptied and could be really cleaned. We've never had that done so well and so carefully and so respectfully of our property even when we go to speciality car wash businesses. Our family has 3 Hondas and are very pleased with all three and especially our confidence and trust in the service department. What a treat in this day and age! More
Steve Young was very knowledgable about the product he was selling. We were very pleased with our experience of working with him. I had a great experience, so let me tell you about it. I had a great experience, so let me tell you about it. I have been buying cars for over 20 years and usually I don't ha I had a great experience, so let me tell you about it. I have been buying cars for over 20 years and usually I don't have anything positive to say about the experience most of the time its a nightmare. So I went into Browns, I was kindly greeted by my salesperson Joey Lockhart, so it started well, so he asked me what I was interested in doing, (NO PRESSURE) so I told him I just wanted to look at a 2012 Honda Civic, so we went to look at it, we went for a pleasant test drive, so Joey then without pressure asked me "Rachel what is the next step?" which i found very refreshing verses the normal high pressure crap most sales people ask " Like whats it going to take" I hate that approach, Joey is totally different than any other salesperson I have ever meet. I went in for a "look" and after the test drive and Joey's low pressure approach, feeling very comfortable with Joey and the store, I asked him, " WHAT can you sell me the car for" so joey went in and got me a great price for the car I wanted, so I decided to purchase the car that day, verses holding off. So that night, I started feeling like I didn't do my research, so I got on line, and I was so happy when after looking on line and Joey's price was right in line, actually lower than the dealership all my friends were telling me about....... Thank you Joey for everything, I wish you sold other items as well, most salespeople could learn from you, for the people who are reading this, BUY YOUR CAR FROM JOEY LOCKHART AT BROWN HONDA Rachel................. My wife and I were researching the new Honda CR-Z and made some internet inquiry. We received the typical group of auto replies from a few dealers, local and distant, promising someone would contact us made some internet inquiry. We received the typical group of auto replies from a few dealers, local and distant, promising someone would contact us shortly. Katy sent us a personalized email within 10 minutes with a quote. She immediately took our call as she provided a direct number and we negotiated a price we remain happy with on our new CR-Z (No buyers remorse). Brown Honda is a 2 hour drive, past three other Honda dealers and once there they provided financing at a rate a full point BELOW what I requested. Where do you find that these days? At Brown Honda, that's where. More
Steve was great to deal with. He came in on his day off so we could compare an Accord vs a Camry. Steve's knowledge concerning the Accord was exceptional, there wasn't anything we ask that he didn't answer so we could compare an Accord vs a Camry. This has been our 3rd purchase from Steve and he was the reason we bought from Brown's Honda in Charlottesville, VA More
Overall experience was good but you fell short when it came time to deal with our trade in. You took YOUR problem (not having an outlet for cars with over 100,000 mile) and made it MY problem by giving m came time to deal with our trade in. You took YOUR problem (not having an outlet for cars with over 100,000 mile) and made it MY problem by giving me a low allowance and finally suggesting that I take the car to CarMax. You should NEVER take YOUR problem and put it back on the customer. Your problem is YOUR problem to deal with, not mine. You want a suggestion? 1. Have an estimator from CarMax on site when you have your big tent sales. 2. He would have driven our car and offered you $6000, which is what I wanted and which is what I got from CarMax 3. You could have raised your allowance from $4500 to $5500 4. You would have made $500 for doing nothing. 5. CarMax would have gotten the car they wanted for the price they wanted. 6. I would have taken the deal just to simplify my life 7. In the end everyone would have gotten what they wanted. Instead, now I have "the story." The one I tell over and over again to my friends and family about my dealings with Brown Honda - they gave me the best price but tried to make it back up on the trade in and, in the end, I had to go sell my car myself. I might have been better off getting the best price I could in Richmond and not having to make two trips to Charlottesville. More
