If you take your Honda for maintenance 1- Make sure to have a second opinion out of Honda system. I have a Honda CR-V, which I bought brand new from Honda dealer in 2014. After almost five years, the mileage is 36K. It is very well-maintained, parked in roofed garage. I have not taken it for any long trip; it has been basically used in city for daily routines. I have never had any issue with it, just regular maintenance. Recently it started to make an extra noise when I drove it before warming it up in the morning, but if I warmed it up for five–ten minutes, it wouldn’t make any noise. As a woman, I did not want to be stuck in the road so I brought it to a Honda dealer. At first they said they do not see anything wrong with the car. As I insisted to find the source of the noise, they said they found the problem and it will cost me $1250 to change the bearings and the wheel plus labor. It didn’t sound right to have this problem at such a low mileage. I should have walked out and asked for a second opinion. Anyway, they charged me $621.45 for the parts and the next week I took the car again for labor. They came back with an additional charge of $1519.79! I didn’t even realized when they had convinced me to change the tires! At what millage should tires be changed? Mine didn’t look old at all. I left Honda dealer in fury. Ever since, I have talked to different people – especially men – about my experience, and they all agree that this maintenance was not necessary at this mileage. Brown Honda replaced all four tires, even though the treads were not worn. They were original tires of Honda at the mileage of 36000. If there is one good point to mention, it is that ‘the car wash was free’!! More

Good but quite expensive I needed to get my starter replaced. The service was great and the job done (so far as I can tell) looks good. My concern is with the price. The original price was close to $1000 for a repair that on average costs around $520 per Repairpal.com. I talked to David, and he was able to reduce the price 10%, but I still ended up paying $400 more than what nearby mechanics charge. The labor costs alone were about 350% more than what other mechanics charge. To be fair these are Honda trained technicians, but does that really justify a 350% mark up? That just seems excessive to me. I want to continue taking my car here as the service and quality of the work is great, but i just worry that these prices are becoming prohibitive. More

during ownership change it appears I was not told what to do I returned the 2014 civic early [leased] and purchased 2017 acord. the plates were changed to the 2017. then late in 2017 I was billed by honda fina I returned the 2014 civic early [leased] and purchased 2017 acord. the plates were changed to the 2017. then late in 2017 I was billed by honda finance for the second half of 2017 personal property taxes. I was also billed for part of 2018 for the 2014 civic!! honda finance said someone must advise albermarle tax dept of the 7/17 date l returned the civce in order to get my "LATE TAX;payments refunded. I attempted to talk to the business manager at Umansky in order to get some order to this confusing issue. He walked away from me mumbling something he cant do anything for me!!! I am still pondering how to get my incorrectly paid tax??? money back More
