They said they needed HOURS. I had two young children with me….hours more was not going to work. They then “nicely” returned my car to me asking me to come back another day that I had more time…more time? I thought you needed 1 hour. I would have never planned my visit to the dealership this way if I would have known the service wait time. I was then informed by the service department that they didn’t give me my wait time, the call center did and if I wanted a better ETA I should have asked to speak when them directly. I called to speak with the manager about this experience and the issue with the call center/actual location….it’s been 48 hours and I still have yet to hear from the dealership. THEY DON’T CARE! People ask my husband and I if we work for Dodge because of all of the Dodge vehicles we’ve had. I’m so disappointed with this experience. This is my second poor experience at this dealership. Please learn from my mistakes and think twice about purchase/service at this dealership. More
I brought my Ram 3500 truck in for a simple oil change and they damaged my truck and rear tail light. The light didn't even stay in on the way home. The manager Mark, did everything to not take responsibi and they damaged my truck and rear tail light. The light didn't even stay in on the way home. The manager Mark, did everything to not take responsibility for the damage done to my truck. This is an extremely dishonest dealership, from the staff to the managers. They refused to make it right. I'm disheartened to feel that such a large company could treat their new customers this way. I should've read the 1 star reviews prior to bringing my truck in. Additionally, I had an appointment at 9am and was at the dealership until 11:30am. I made an appointment because I had a baby and didn't want to spend hours at the dealership. They also made many recommendations and told me my air cabin filter was needing to be replaced and I had my 150k service completed less than a month ago which included everything additional they wanted to add on. Making unnecessary recommendations, being dishonest and not taking accountability for their mistakes must be in their training policies and procedures. More
BUYER BEWARE: IF YOU ARE CAR SHOPPING PLEASE TAKE A LOOK.I just want to let everyone know to be very careful when buying a used vehicle at Umansky in Charlottesville specifically the dodge jeep dealers LOOK.I just want to let everyone know to be very careful when buying a used vehicle at Umansky in Charlottesville specifically the dodge jeep dealership. Back in September I purchased my jeep from there. The first strike was when they refused to negotiate the price of the vehicle... fine I still bought it. However once at home I discovered a tag that was originally hanging in the window with a price of $1,000 dollars less then what I paid. When I called and confronted them about this I was given the run around. First I was told by a salesperson that they do daily check on “the market” and within a couple days of it being on the lot that the market for this particular vehicle went up therefore the price increased. I was then told that they made repairs therefore they had to bump the price up, this was from the GM. Within a couple days I noticed several issues that would come and go. The unlock button on the drivers side worked when it wanted to, the knob on my gear shift continued to pop off as I was driving and changing gears, my parking brake was not holding and when I turned my heat on ice cold air was blowing out. The jeep also has a tendency to not want to start right off and acts as if it is flooded out after being ran and cut off for brief time frames. I notified the dealership and they said they “stood behind their vehicles.” Fast forward I bring it in and they have it for roughly 2 weeks. They said they weren’t going to fix the electrical issue with the unlock and lock button because it was too expensive to fix so they “met me in the middle” and fixed the knob and heat. They stated there was nothing wrong with my jeep and was unable to explain why it was acting the way it was when I tried to start it after driving it and cutting it off. My heat is now warm but cuts on and off sporadically, the high beam headlights get stuck at times and won’t dim, the jeep still acts like it’s flooded out from time to time.. and the list goes on. The brake also has failed since it was fixed. I was at my sisters house on fairly level part of the driveway with great distance between me and her boyfriends car. I ran inside for 5 minutes came out and my jeep had rolled into her boyfriends car. 😠 The GM told me his hands are tied as they already “dumped a pile of money into this” before putting it on the lot. Sounds like to like to me they knew it was a lemon. therefore instead of selling it when it whn it was traded in it should’ve been sent to an auction and sold as is. I put a small fortune down on this and have 6 years to pay on it and they do not seem to care. The GM acted like he was going to do something to help me out when talking to him face to face but unfortunately he is ignoring the messages I have sent him since Friday when I last saw him. I did purchase a warranty that has a 500 dollar deductible for each claim. I bought it intending to save myself if something major happened two years from now. Not within days / weeks of owning the vehicle. These problems were known about and were there before I ever test drove the vehicle. I just want people to be aware. I should’ve been more cautious. If I wanted a piece of junk I would’ve went to a whole sale lot or the Central Virginia Auto Auction for that matter, bought something cheaper and took my chances. This place wants to have the same reviews and reputation as a buy here pay here lot, that thrive off of ripping off innocent people. On another note I’ve had great experiences with the Steven auto group in Harrisonburg in past years and will continue to take my business there after dealing with this xxxxxxxx. This was my second purchase from Umansky and it will be my last. More

We traveled many miles north of us and visited several dealerships but didn't feel good about doing business with any of them. I decided to do another search and found my vehicle right in my own backyard, as it were. James M., my sales rep, responded to the inquiry I placed on the aforementioned website. We set up a morning appointment for the next day. From the moment I walked in, on the test drive, and eventually sealing the deal, the experience was as pleasant and smooth as one can expect. James was robustly accommodating, friendly, but not high pressure at all. The staff in the finance department were a pleasure to work with as well. They exceeded my expectations on my financing needs. As for the vehicle. It was in tip-top shape: clean, serviced and ready for its new owner... namely yours truly. I am a very happy customer and without reservation recommend Umanksy (formerly Brown) Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep. More

A recent visit for a simple thing turned into what could have been a nightmare and I expected dragging and negotiations, but Tim saw the problem...had to get Mark to look at it and approve...less than 15 seconds looking at it and they owned up and fixed it. And it wasn't cheap for them either. To my complete satisfaction. I wish Jeep themselves cared as much as these guys do about customers. Jeep has seemingly tied the hands of dealers when it comes to issues and procedures but the team at this shop works through it for the owners/drivers. My issues with my Jeep have nothing to do with this dealer or the work their shop does. Wish I could review Corporate separately. Things fixed. Loners for times that the shop gets backlogged. Friendly answers. Quick appointment schedules. They are holding up their end just fine. The example I wrote about here was a fluke in their shop. Have been there often for regular maintenance and never an issue and this one was fixed asap. More
