Unfortunately the vehicle was totaled 11/2015. 12/2015, I dropped my warranty services & its now March 2016 & they have not handled the situation. Everyone there is more worried about making a sale as opposed to assisting customers. Only 1 finance manager on most days, you get transferred to people who do not return calls. Then when you do hear from them, you get information like we sent a check to the WRONG bank?! & it was for the WRONG amount!!! Or you get information like "oh I'm sorry the 1st person didn't tell you there's cancellation fees & proration involved. I can't buy another car because they can't get this handled. No accountability & they have no process in place that's streamlined for customers. I will do everything I can to spread the word to not purchase a vehicle from them even though some people are nice. If the collective is bad, the whole business is bad. I swear to GOD I will never be affiliated with Five Star in any fashion because of this. More

My son in law put me in touch with Dorothy Lamar who found me the exact car I was looking for. Ms. Lamar is very professional and efficient, but is also very personable and is easy to work with. I live in Birmingham, Al. and have never met Ms. Lamar, but from our dealings over the phone I feel like I know her well. If ever I am in the market for another car, she will be the first person I contact because I know she will do her best to obtain the car I want as quickly aRobert Brookss possible for a very reasonable price Thanks Dorothy for your expertise in making this past transaction a successful deal. Pleasant car buying experience I have purchased two cars from Five Star Mazda's Dorothy Lamar. She is without a doubt the friendliest, most helpful car sales person I have done business with. She is very patient and will explain anything that you ask her to. She is also very knowledgeable about the cars that she sells. The car that I wanted was on sale, but I couldn't get to the dealership until a few days after the sale was over. Dorothy (and her sales manager) still got me the sale price for my car. Five Star also gave me more for my trade in than I had planned to ask for! I am very happy with the Five Star Mazda buying experience. I recommend Five Star Mazda to everyone. Ask for Dorothy! More
2015 Mazda CX-5 Recently purchased a 2015 Mazda CX-5 online. The sales person was Steve Glawson and his manager was Brad Campbell. Both were excellent to deal with. Recently purchased a 2015 Mazda CX-5 online. The sales person was Steve Glawson and his manager was Brad Campbell. Both were excellent to deal with. Other dealers told me they would try to ?bait & switch? on the price quoted to me, but that was not the case. They delivered on every promise they made with no surprises. Steve was friendly, knowledgeable about the product, and very patient during the price negotiation. He didn't pressure us at all, answered all questions and did a great job going over all the details during the vehicle turnover. Drove 275+ miles to this dealership...was it worth it? You bet it was for the money they saved me. Their price beat everyone else by a considerable margin. Based on my experience so far, I would certainly recommend them. More

I Negotiated the price of the vehicle via telephone calls and emails and Dorothy had all the paperwork ready to go and waiting for me when I got to the dealership. She honored the deal we worked out without question. This dealership has gone out of their way to take care of me. I drove 85 miles to buy my new vehicle from them and got a great deal, better than any deal from any other dealer around Atlanta. I would recommend them to all of my family and friends. More
No honesty or integrity I Began negotiating the price for a Mazda 6 over phone. We were close on price but not yet at a price i felt comfortable paying. The salesman said tha I Began negotiating the price for a Mazda 6 over phone. We were close on price but not yet at a price i felt comfortable paying. The salesman said that sales manager told him that once I get to dealership that their would be more room to negotiate. Financing was approved and price wise we were $600 apart. I stressed to my salesman many times that I live an 1 1/2 hours away and for me to drive that far that I need assurance that their will be more room for the price to come down otherwise I wouldn't make the trip. He said their would be and seemed sure we could meet in the middle on the price difference. I made the 1 1/2 hour drive with my family and once I arrived at the dealership and sat down the price had gone up $100 from the last price that i was told on the phone. The manager said that he apologized for his salesman but he wasn't lowering the price. The salesman seemed confused by this from what the manager had told him earlier. When it seemed obvious that nothing would be accomplished I packed my family back up and left. I drove a total of 3 hours to spend 10 minutes at this place. This was by far my worst experience at a dealership and confident I will never return or recommend it. More
Oh where to begin? This dealership is a extremely untrustworthy! I was on a trip from FL to north GA when my car broke down on the side of I-75. I had it towed to 5 Star...major mistake. Rich barely untrustworthy! I was on a trip from FL to north GA when my car broke down on the side of I-75. I had it towed to 5 Star...major mistake. Rich barely looked at the car and suggested the repair would cost too much and that I should just buy another car. There I was, just me and my 3 kids stranded in Macon and he took complete advantage of me. Luckily I was able to get home (without the car). The next day I had it towed to a dealership I trust. Come to find out, my usual dealership said Rich was all wrong about my car issues. I saved about $3000! Do not take your car to 5 Star!! More
I took my 2003 Mazda Tribute to the Mazda dealer to repair a cataliyic converter, because the car was making a terrible noise and would not run properly. When the mechanic went under my car he noticed i repair a cataliyic converter, because the car was making a terrible noise and would not run properly. When the mechanic went under my car he noticed it had a loose screw, he replaced it and the noise was gone. They told me that the screw was the problem but there was still some fuel the was'nt being burnt properly and a fuel induction and tune up would solve the problem. SO the tune the car up, charged us $1600.00 told us the car would be ready Tuesday, come Tues day Mr. Rich tells us something went wrong we gonna need the converters after all. So after raising so much they agreed to replaced the converters free of charge. They tells us the car is ready, we pick it up, had to bring it right back because it was jumpimg when we drove it. He said a coil was misfiring and a sensor was bad, Rich called me the next day said he replaced the sensor, and the check engine light was off, and that they was test driving the car and we should be able to pick it up that day. He then call me back and tell me that there might be a burnt valve in the engine and that it would cost another $3000 to fix. When I asked him why would you tell me the tune up and fuel induction would fix it , he says because he thought that was the problem. I talk to another local mechanic and he told me with the technology at a dealership's disposal they should have been able to properly diagnois the situation instead of operating on guess work. SO after paying $1600 dollars the car still does'nt work. More
I bought my 2011 Mazda 3 from Five star. I took the car back to have the bouncing and shimmy that I felt looked at. The first visit I was told that two of my tires had too much air in them and one without back to have the bouncing and shimmy that I felt looked at. The first visit I was told that two of my tires had too much air in them and one without enough air in it. The second time I took it in for the same problem that existed the first time, I was told that my tires were out of balance. I thought this strange since the car came from an Atlanta dealership on a dealer trade and was driven from Atlanta to Macon Ga. I took the vehicle in a third time for the same problem since it was not resolved the first time. They had another manager, Shawn Lock, take the car on a test drive and I followed in a brand new one to compare the two on how it drove compared to mine. He agreed that there was indeed something wrong. He took the new car for a spin and then had me ride with him while he told me that it was just a bonus with the car that I could get a massage while driving. He also stated to me that the reason I felt the shimmy was because I had to let the air warm up in the tires! Come on give me a break. I took the car to my personal mechanic and he said that it looked like the front right drive axle needed to be replaced. I then went back a fourth time and talked to Mrs. Wooten and dropped the car off. I have yet to hear from here and will update as soon as I can. So far, Five star gets a negative 10 from me. They pride themselves on service after the sale my !@#$. I called the Mazda Corp. and they told me that I would have to take the car to another Mazda dealership that was close to me which was in Morrow Ga and if they found my concerns to be a problem then they would look into it further. Really people. More
