New car purchase due to recall I received a recall notice on my 2014 Hyundai Sonata where it explained that there was an error in the engine production that left machining chips in I received a recall notice on my 2014 Hyundai Sonata where it explained that there was an error in the engine production that left machining chips in the channels that fed oil to the crankshaft bearings. My VIN number was on this recall and I was not interested in what the fix process would be since this seemed major and I rely on my vehicle for work and long trips. So I decided to forego the pain of major fixes and just traded in on a new 2017 Sonata that was under a good promotion. Hopefully there will be no recalls on this one. More
