Well just for kicks I decided to see if this dealership ever responded to my last post. As you can see they have not. I guess they figure they will never see me again anyway because I am over 100 miles away. I must say that they would be right. At least let me know what went wrong over there. Oh, I know - nobody owned up to the problems I had. Typical. I even told them who initialed the maintenance checklist. My advice to anyone thinking of buying a car here is to have it checked just as if you were buying from a private party. No response! Unbelievable. The good news is that I have not had any more problems with the car to date since I changed the tires, bought new wiper blades, got a new battery and changed the oil which, by the way, I have since found out that Fitz DID do something with the oil. I found this out as I was able to contact the previous owner of the vehicle who said he only used Fram or Bosch filters. A Nissan filter was on it. Could be they changed the filter and added oil without draining the old. That would explain why it was so dirty. Who knows?
