I have taken my Grand Cherokee to Finnegan several times for service and have been extremely pleased with their work. Contacted on 10/14/21 to inquire about a brand new 2021 Ram 1500 through the internet. I was contacted by Mike Todd about the vehicle. We discussed pricing and fees. He explained to me that they have an ad Ram 1500 through the internet. I was contacted by Mike Todd about the vehicle. We discussed pricing and fees. He explained to me that they have an add-on package that is $1895 and is on all new vehicles. At this point I decided to pass on the vehicle. Mike Todd reached out to me on 10/18/21 to discuss the vehicle again and he offered me a discount of at least half off the $1895 and possibly more depending on where they were at on the vehicle. He said we could negotiate better if I wias at the dealership. I explained to him I live over an hour away so I wanted to make sure there would be no issues if I drove that far. He reassured me there would be no issue. So I agreed to arrive the next day. He told me they needed all my info to start finance paperwork so I wouldn’t have to wait long when I arrived the next day so I filled out the finance paperwork online. I showed up and the first question he asked me was “You know it’s a demo right?” I was not told that as it was advertised as brand new on the website and he never explained that to me through our interactions. Why ask that question if that was already explained to me? The truck ended up having almost 10,000 miles on it and the inside of the bed was all scratched up. He asked if I was still interested and I said yes. I was willing to get passed the truck having 10,000 miles as long as he would honor the half off the $1895 fee and pay for a spray in bed liner since the bed was damaged under their ownership. Mr. Todd went to talk to his manager and he would not come off any on the truck, not even the half off the $1895 that was agreed to before my arrival and would not put in a spray in bed liner. I was told there were several people interested in the truck. I decided not to purchase the vehicle. Mr. Todd called me that evening and said he would talk to the GM and get back with me. He obviously reached out to me to try to appease me since he realized I was lied to. Talked again with Mr. Todd on 10/22/21 and he said they could take $200 off but that was it. The vehicle was already discounted $500 on their website so he wasn’t even offering the new price of the vehicle and if there were so many people interested why is the vehicle still on the lot and being discounted. Went in for a check engine light. It took 3-4 days to diagnose the issue which I knew what the problem was and shared with the service representative when the vehicle was dropped off. The service representative was nice but the timeframe and communication could have been better. It took 9 days for the repair. There is a long waiting list for available loaner cars so be prepared to rent a vehicle or be without yours for a while. If the repair was a larger I would understand but for a check engine light sensor I would expect that to be taken care of quickly. I didn’t feel a sense of urgency to repair the vehicle and get me back on the road. More
