We actually used to dread this sort of thing because we didn't particularly enjoy dealing with the "other" VW dealership in ABQ (but yet didn't want to give up our love for our VW Beetles - we are on our 5th Beetle.) So we are so grateful for Uptown VW and for making our visits there such a pleasant experience every time! The professionalism the staff shows is very refreshing. Thank you! Called for a replacement price for a timing belt, John Holcomb gave a price $300 below another dealer. Service was great and timely, when I pickup the car it had been washed. Got a price on oil changes and that also beat the other dealer, plus a car wash. I will be back.scruggslarry More

I stopped by Monday morning (Martin Luther King Day) to see if I could get my car examined. A week prior to me deciding to have the dealership diagnose my car, it stated acting up. I searched around to fin see if I could get my car examined. A week prior to me deciding to have the dealership diagnose my car, it stated acting up. I searched around to find symptoms similar to mine and even ran a self-diagnostics. What I found indicated the problem might be caused by a clogged fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator. I took the normal steps when dealing with a fuel problem (fuel additive and a tank of premium gas) before I changed the fuel filter. After I changed the fuel filter and air filter the car continued to act as if it was starved for fuel under load. Anyway, when I stopped by the dealership John Holcomb (I assume this is the same John) assisted me. Despite arriving before 7:00 am, he was very courteous. I told him my story and the steps I had thus far taken. He seemed knowledgeable and agreed to have the vehicle looked at as soon as possible. After a few hours I called the service department to check on my vehicle. John answered the phone and proceeded to tell me the root cause of my car’s trouble. The news was terrible! The lobe on the cam shaft was banging against the cam follower. This issue had caused the entire surface area of the cam follower to erode completely and it significantly wore down the lobe. At first I thought John had me confused with another customer after all, my car probably needed just a new fuel pump. Anyway, it turns out John was talking about my car and some major repairs were in order. The silver lining is that the components were still covered under a manufactures warranty. I appreciate how John not only had the warranty information handy when I called but he also gave me cost breakdowns on parts, had the mechanic replace two worn out seals, and even let me see the damaged cam and cam follower. John was a huge help and I’m extremely thankful that I brought my car to this dealership. It’s always a relief to have your car fixed free of charge (besides the seals) but it’s an even bigger relief when the staff is professional and knowledgeable. John was a big help and my overall experience was terrific. Thank you to everyone who worked on my car too, it runs great! More

I arrived at appointment time, was immediately greeted by Joshua. He asked a number of questions regarding vehicle condition (all answered PERFECT). Number of ways I believe vehicle check-up experience could have be improved: ZERO. So far, my impression of the physical appearance of Uptown VW, + ALL of the employees with whom I've been in contact, leads me to believe that the managers responsible for hiring, training & supervision do an excellent job. John and the dealership always go above and beyond when I take my car in for service. My check engine light was on and John did a great job at figuring out what was wrong and even realize their was an addit take my car in for service.
