People complain a fair amount (yes, even on the north shore) over the smallest things when they don’t get done right. I recently had my car’s bumper repaired as well as my flat tire replaced (as well as numerous other service issues over the past 14 years of driving BMWs). The repair work was a little more involved than initially thought and I appreciated Chris’ updating me on the status of things as well as how long things would take and when they were done, but more importantly, he has always been professional (he has a great handle on the technical aspects of the cars and is able to simplify what is being done so that I can understand everything) as well as courteous and friendly. Please recognize that I choose Fields for my service and car needs in part because of Chris’ service. He is a good representative for Fields. Kind regards, Steve More
Wednesday I called and got a next-day service appointment. Thanks to my extended service and maintenance warranty, I paid a $50.00 deductible for regular 10,000 mile oil change etc., front brakes appointment. Thanks to my extended service and maintenance warranty, I paid a $50.00 deductible for regular 10,000 mile oil change etc., front brakes replacement, sensor replacement, oil filter gasket leak, and faulty windshield wiper replacement. Because my X3 had to stay overnight, I was provided with a loaner car. My car was even washed prior to delivery. Mr. Goodrich and the Fields service staff are just plain great! Thank you, Fields BMW. Over the years I have come to know Jerry Marichal very well, thru work, and always have a very pleasant, positive experience when I bring my car in for service. His attitude is always "will get it done" and he is always positive and upbeat. I recommend him to everyone I know that goes there for service, and even some people woho go to other dealers. The sales people are great to work with and Dave McCullogh is an excellent GM. He always makes time to say hello and chat with me. I feel very welcome at the dealership and look forward to a long, continued relationship because of the people that make up their team. More

I own a 2001 BMW 740iL with only 80,000 mies on it. I love this car and it has been maintained well. I did not have any problems with it until persistent battery problems and NAV/radio started occurring love this car and it has been maintained well. I did not have any problems with it until persistent battery problems and NAV/radio started occurring around Thanksgiving 2009. The causal factors for the battery/NAV/radio problems were very difficult to isolate but Brian Cullinan, the Director of Service at Fields BMW (Northfield, IL), worked in concert with BMW North America to troubleshoot the issues and Brian was an advocate on my behalf. My car is now working condition and I have the highest praise for Brian and his service team at Fields. I also want to compliment BMW North America for their assistance and support. More
The service advisor went out of his way to save me money.....:.He advised me that since since Bmw would not have the correct battery in stock for several months; I can purchase the correct battery at money.....:.He advised me that since since Bmw would not have the correct battery in stock for several months; I can purchase the correct battery at Sears & Fields can program & install it.....This process saved me several hundred dollars; .. since the battery had to be re-programed only once [not twice].....I believe Anibal Ruiz was very accomodating & used his thought process to help save me several hundred dollard......PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP QUALITY, PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES AS Mr. Ruiz....thank you; Menard Schwartz More

We purchased our 740il, new. from Fields. Our experience has been OUTSTANDING since day 1. Being an "Automotive Family" we've maintained a close relationship with Dave Mc Culloch, Gen Mgr, Jerry Marichal, has been OUTSTANDING since day 1. Being an "Automotive Family" we've maintained a close relationship with Dave Mc Culloch, Gen Mgr, Jerry Marichal, Assist. Serv. Mgr. as well as some of the lead mechanics. Your whole whole operation have always been FIRST CLASS in our books. "Are you being helped, or have you been helped?" is often asked by the folks at Fields. You folks care and that's comforting. I happen to have a vehicle being serviced by your competitor (MB). They should come to some of your "Nice Guy Classes." They would learn a lot. Buy another family vehicle? After one time of a disappointing service a couple years back I decided to give them a shot again and take my car in for a simple oil change. Scheduled an appointment at noon and got there 11:55. After being inside the service area for about 15 minutes and not being helped by anyone I approached a gentleman working there myself. Found out the price I was told over the phone was 30 less then what I'm actually going to have to pay yet still decided to go with it. 1:30pm on the clock and my car still isn't done. After all I got my car ready at 1:50. Horrible service and time. Since I am a handy person myself I do know for a fact that oil change doesn't take more then 20 minutes and that's in the around the house environment. Definitely never coming here again and I advise anyone who needs service on their "ultimate driving machine" to find themselves a place where they value your time More
I've been going to Field's BMW since I bought my first BMW. I have always had a great experience at their shop. They go out of their way to explain what's being done and why. The mechanic's are first rate BMW. I have always had a great experience at their shop. They go out of their way to explain what's being done and why. The mechanic's are first rate and the repairs are always done on time. They've even added a chef in the morning that makes breakfast while you're waiting for you car to be finished. They've always been very fair on their pricing with me and have just instituted a mileage club that gives a 15% discount for service on high mileage BMW's, which saves me a lot of money. More
