Hello, thank you for your response. We’re sorry about your experience and hope to provide some clarification as well. Our dealership cannot sign customers up for Toyota Connected Services (i.e. safety connect which includes SOS), sign up can only be done by the customer. We were also transparent about the service we were able to provide in turning off the SOS light and expressed how the current fix may or may not work, which was agreed to. The vehicle was over miles which is why it was not covered by the warranty and we stood by and followed the recommended procedure provided by Toyota to solve the issue. Again, we’re sorry we weren’t able to reach a conclusion that you were satisfied with. Additionally, if you happen to be signed up for the SOS service and you’d like to try to disable it, log in to your Toyota Owner’s Account on the Toyota App and find Account Settings to disable the safety connect service.
