Richard, it is my understanding that the day you were in the dealership you were here looking at a certain vehicle. We had shared with you that we had another appointment on that same car that day only 2 hours later. My staff offered to take the car to show your wife, we also offered to allow you to make a commitment and have your wife come sign later and if she did not want it that we would back it out. We gave you every chance to make a decision on that unit trying to give you the 1st right of refusal. You decided that you'd take your chance and not do any of those options. I am sorry and I will share with you that we sold that car the same day to the very appointment that we shared with you we had coming in. We tried sir. Gary, It appears you were given the wrong information. Here is what happened. I was told I need to bring my trade in for accurate price and that there were other people interested so I had to beat them in. I re-arranged my work schedule to be there and confirmed with Ferman I would not have much time as I had to be at work. I drove 45 minutes in there, the trade was evaluated, i took a quick look at the used car, and i was offered a great deal on the car/trade. At this point I had not test driven the car but was very interested due to the price. They wanted me to start the paperwork and I let them know the trade was not in my name so we'd have to work that out. Matt talked to whoever the manager was and came back saying they need her to come in to do that or we can't make a deal. I spent a bit of time to get a hold of her as she was at work, talked to her about it as she didn't even know I went to look at a car, and let her know I still needed to test drive it. I spoke with Matt about this and he said maybe we could take it home to review it or figure something out. He went again to the manager on duty to work something out and came back saying nope they have someone that will buy the car later so my wife needs to come in now. At this point; conveniently, I had no time left to test drive the car and make an educated decision on purchasing it. The manager there wanted me to just tell my wife yes make arrangements for someone to go home to feed and watch our 3 babies while she went up there by herself to review the car and sign paperwork. We decided it was not in the best interest for our family to drop everything/re-arrange schedules to by a used car we had not been allowed adequate time to review. There was never an offer to take the car to my wife. I was the one that offered a deposit while we reviewed the car and was rejected. I would be willing to bet you used the same tactic on the person that bought the car later in the day, buy the car right now as fast as you can as we have a guy coming back in to buy it if you don't. I was never told before changing my work schedule that and driving in everything would have to be signed/completed that night. Other dealers have recognized our family/work obligations and have offered to do paperwork via courier or mail they just ended up not having stock in our price range. Hence the reason for my review. Your dealership could care less about families or life obligations.

If you actually read my response you would see the salesman Matt tried to get the manager that day to work with me and all he got back was we not going to do anything because we'll sell it later. I don't have that persons name, you'd have to get that from Matt. I don't know why you keep attacking Matt over this. Management makes the policies that are not customer friendly not the salespeople. I'm not mad at all that i didn't by the car. There are reasons dealers offer cars at lower than recommended pricing and try to get the deal done in a hurry. I am upset that I made the commitment and drive up there and did not get any kind of commitment in return. If your dealership truly cared about customer service you would not ask the customer to have their wife take 4 hours (it was rush hour at this point) away from our children to come sign papers on a deal that wasn't finalized. I needed to test drive the vehicle and get financing worked out. Matt tried to help, policies from the top down are what truly made this a bad customer experience. He says you're a very nice guy and I believe that. However I do think you are mad at yourself for not taking advantage of this opportunity. I am sure you can relate to doing business the right way, Matt has told me on two different occasions that we offered for you to drive the car and do your portion of the paperwork and your wife could come at a later date. I am very sorry that you're mad at yourself for not taking the time to do this the right way because we tried to allow you all the courtesies to do business. You chose not too. This dealership and my staff care very much for people and their lives and needs. We use couriers daily, we send mail to guests daily, we allow 1 person to sign and the other to come later daily....... the fact is you decided you didn't have the time and your wife didn't want to get the kids and come that night,. I get it it's life and sometimes Life gets in the way .... however we did try and do everything possible for you to get that ca. Should you see anything else in our inventory we would make you a super deal on it as well and if we need to deliver it or have paperwork signed at the house or whatever .... were 100% in.
