I came to Fathers and Sons looking for the most fuel-efficient vehicle I could find. My former vehicle was a 2005 Honda Insight (original version)that averaged 60 mpg over its lifetime. It had 190K miles, and the hybrid battery failed, necessitating $4000 in repairs. Ryan suggested the Jetta TDI. The rated mileage was 42 mpg highway, and Ryan intimated that many customers were doing much better than that. He had me test drive it, and I was very impressed with the ride, handling, roominess, and feel of the vehicle. I told him I would get back to him after I talked to my wife. Two days later I called to schedule a test drive with my wife. He told me I could take the car home with me for her to drive - 1 1/2 hours away in the Berkshires! I did, and we bought the car. He was very pleasant to deal with, never pushy, and the deal was easy to close. When I brought the car back for its 10,000 mile service, the service department found a defect in the dashboard display, necessitating an overnight repair. They got me a rental vehicle, picked me up and dropped me off, and the whole exerience cost me NOTHING! I would recommend this dealership to anyone. More

Walked into Fathers and Sons Dealership to purchase a VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI. Frank had been emailing us, telling us that he had the vehicle we were looking for. First off, I want to say the sales department here is fantastic. No high pressure, and very fair to the customer. Furthermore, their service consultants are also great. Calls throughout the day to give updates and is very friendly. However, everything else about their service department is utterly terrible. I recently picked up my car for a recall repair. When I picked it up, my drivers seat was reclined and position in such a way that I could not even reach my steering wheel safely, furthermore all my mirrors were adjusted and I had to spend more time to fix that. Next, the faceplate from my stereo was removed from my LOCKED glovebox and was used and left on a volume that made the rearview mirror vibrate. Finally, the car was driven 15 miles and my a/c was left on full blast, which was done by them, as when I delivered the car to them I had my windows and sunroof open. Also, according to my paperwork my rear brakes were metal on metal, and needed to be replaced immediately. This is untrue as they were inspected recently when I got new tires and were told they still have good life left. This is also not the first time this has happened. Once I brought my car to them and they did the same thing to the seats, and the mirrors, and my car was either smoked in, or a smoker was driving it as the car STUNK badly when I picked it up. And whoever drove it that day as well tracked mud into my freshly cleaned car. More

Frank was not pushy at all and discussed the various features of the vehicle in great detail. After being treated like a complete idiot at other dealerships (lugging around a 9 month old seems to be the equivalent of having "SUCKER" tattooed on your forehead), it was refreshing to work with someone who genuinely seemed interested in making me happy versus making the sale. I was treated with respect throughout the process and was delighted to give the dealership my business - especially since their offer was extremely competitive (to say that I did my research on pricing would be an understatement). I can highly recommend this dealership without hesitation: They aren't pushy, won't try to pull a fast one on you and are very willing to work with you on price. More
