I was in the market for a new car that would maybe get better mileage than my current vehicle, but I did not want a hybrid. I used truecar.com to try to price out a 2013 Dodge Dart and Bonnie from Fair Oa better mileage than my current vehicle, but I did not want a hybrid. I used truecar.com to try to price out a 2013 Dodge Dart and Bonnie from Fair Oaks was one of the first to contact me both by email and by phone. We had a lot of back and forth via email where she gave me the price without pressure. Admittedly, the price was higher for the vehicle I wanted than at other dealerships so I was hesitant to come in to the dealership at all, but Bonnie was adamant that they would find a way to make the numbers work for me. Ultimately, I did not end up purchasing a vehicle from her nor from any other dealerships, but although the price was not as competitive, it was very much apparent from her communication and work ethic that they would really go to lengths to try and get my business. I appreciated the fact that she was willing to do so much number crunching for me despite the fact that I had not come in in-person. In this Internet age where consumers are able to find pricing details and do a lot more research online, it always irks me when a dealership simply tries to get you to show up. If you're looking for a vehicle, you'll have a positive experience with Fair Oaks Motors, whether or not you end up buying from them. More
I am 36 years old. I have always purchased vehicles from family members, thus this was my first "dealer" experience. Ms. Abbott was awesome. There were no games. She came back with a price, including taxes family members, thus this was my first "dealer" experience. Ms. Abbott was awesome. There were no games. She came back with a price, including taxes-tags-title-processing fee, below the advertised price and kelly blue book price for the vehicle I purchased. When the deal closed at 9:45p.m Ms. Abbott personally followed me to a gas station to fill my new vehicle with gas. This is a great family owned dealership and I would recommend them. Go out for a visit and see their extensive inventory. More

While I was waiting I spok my RAM 1500 Laeamie Longhorn. As always they accomadated me and provided a rental while they took time to test everything. While I was waiting I spoke to William about a thoiught to trade my wifes Dodge Grand Caranvane for a similar but also higher spec vehichel. He went to allends to provided the customer relationshipe I expect after 38 yeats in the business of servicing customers. William deserves an award forunderstaning how to deal with customers. Most salespeople try to sell without consideration for the buyer. He know how to treat his clients. I take this spaceto also rate the service team. You took a 19 year vetetan of Nissan in 2009 andyou haveprovided 3 top notch vebiclesnd the service onthem thagt keeps me coming back. My husband called and asked if we could drop it off at 930 am instead of 230 on May 1,2013 and have it looked at early? Response was absolutely we can get it in this morning. My husband took our Jeep in to the service department spoke directly with a Tech. Explained in detail what we were experiencing and the computer code it was reading( picture included). All that being documented. As the day progressed my husband attempted on four different instances to obtain information on our jeep one voice mail, one written note once speaking to another lady. Only to have Barbara return the call to tell him they were still diagnosing it 5 hours later? Then AT 232 she called again to tell us what the issue was( again we already knew that going in) and that it would be 450+ dollars. I was so upset with this I called and requested the service manager( Tom Archer). He called me back I explained my disappointment and requested why the cost was so high. Why we were now at 345 in the afternoon without our vehicle when all the information was given at 930 am to be told it was exactly what we explained to a tech. I also stated that less than 90 days ago they charged us over 700 hundred dollars and told us they checked everything else out how could this have been missed not to mention why we had to initiate calls. He stated he needed to check into it. At 416 pm and then again at 419 pm May 1,2013 Tom called my cell phone and told me 250 dollars for the one pc..the rest was for cleaning and clearing my computer and codes. I returned his call and to date he has not called me back.....The jeep was fixed we paid 450+ and when i asked for an itemized bill the young girl was alarmed and sent me to some guy in a tie - he told me the 49.95 was to dispose of rags and things.. Again no itemized statement.. Long story short- they are not trustworthy and we feel completely betrayed and disrespected. I am still waiting for someone to make this right from their end.. Sincerely. Tonya Bertke-Younk More
William was very good with myself and my daughter and even my wife when they came by with me to sign the papers for the 2013 Dodge Dart Limited I am now leasing. William was very good at keeping me in t even my wife when they came by with me to sign the papers for the 2013 Dodge Dart Limited I am now leasing. William was very good at keeping me in the loop from when I first contacted him up until the end of the deal. He is, in a word, awesome. Mike worked some kind of magic to get me the number I needed to get the car I wanted. I was impressed and very pleased. Chris was fantastic clearing up a small issue and making sure the deal got done the next day. Everyone at the dealership is very professional and friendly and makes every effort to make you happy AND give you the deal you need and want. They would not let me try to get into a different car when it was clear I knew which one I wanted. They worked with me until they got their side and my side to match up so everyone was happy. Thanks. Pulled in, test drove, and left in my new Jeep in less than 3 hours. Carlton Calloway is the man! When he told me that he would work out a deal to my satisfaction, he was not kidding. The negotiation was than 3 hours. Carlton Calloway is the man! When he told me that he would work out a deal to my satisfaction, he was not kidding. The negotiation was painless and we each got what we needed. Carlton and I could not reach a deal on the vehicle that I had set my eyes in but he had the foresight to offer the same model/color, minus some extra options I did not need or want, at the price I wanted. The guy did an amazing job. The upsell process with finance department did not bother me, but some could find it frustrating. The extras offered are just that, extras. If you politely decline, that should be enough. There is a lot of papers to sign, some that are so long they have to be folded 5-6 times!. I do not know if the car industry can find a greener way or leverage existing technology (excluding the old dot-matrix printer). I would recommend the dealership itself, and Carlton Calloway as a salesperson. I will try out the Service Department and see if they are as good as the rest of the team. More
After looking more than several Jeep dealerships in the Northern VA/DC area I decided to check out the Fair Oaks Chrysler Jeep and Dodge location. From the very start when Bonnie met me out in the raining Northern VA/DC area I decided to check out the Fair Oaks Chrysler Jeep and Dodge location. From the very start when Bonnie met me out in the raining with her umbrella, I felt relieved. Her knowledge on the product, advise for alternative options, and her personable customer service was all second to none. The one common thread I began to notice after visiting all of the dealerships over several weeks is they did not seem to care about my business. They were rude, uninviting and made me feel like they did not care whether or not I chose to purchase my car with them. In fact, after visiting the dealership about 1 mile from my house (Fair Oaks took me 40 minutes to get too) two times, they never called to even follow up with me. Coming from a background of sales and customer service my expectations are higher than most but to me this service (or lack there of) speaks volumes. When we selected the vehicle I wanted Bonnie brought over the GM of Sales, Tony. Tony came over, shook my hand, greeting me with a smile and said he wanted to work with me and get me into a car that would put a smile on my face. And that he did. He was professional, personable, patient, flexible, and honest. These qualities are important to me and unfortunately are rare these days with car sales people (from my experience). Being treat with respect goes a long way and it made me want to do business with them. In addition to all the helpful and positive qualities both Bonnie and Tony showed me there was more thing I felt was icing on the cake. As I was about to shake Tony’s hand to official seal the deal on the price/car I man walked in with his girl friend to look at cars for her. The man said hi to Tony (as if they were old friends), shook his hand and said “I had such a wonderful experience here purchasing my car I wanted to bring my girlfriend to look here for her next car.” Word or mouth is the biggest way of communication for businesses that will “make them or break them”. With this said, I would highly recommend any friend, colleague or family member to visit this dealership. Leaving there yesterday with my new car I felt happy and exited with a smile on my face just as Tony wanted. As backwards as it may sound, I did not feel like this with any other dealership and in fact I felt the opposite. Discouraged, annoyed, and frustrated. If you ask me, there should never be a reason to feel like this when you enter a place of business where you choosing to look at spending a lot of money. People who care about your business and money will treat you with respect. After all you could decide to take you business else where at anytime and I’m happy I took mine over 40 minutes away to Fair Oaks Chrysler Jeep and Dodge (in Chantilly). More
