Worst dealership Pick out a 2017 Jetta then had to wait a really long time for approval on a loan.Got a loan approved with Day Air and everything was good to go. My mo Pick out a 2017 Jetta then had to wait a really long time for approval on a loan.Got a loan approved with Day Air and everything was good to go. My mom Asked to come back Tuesday because my mom wanted to talk with Wright Patt Credit Union and Monday was a holiday. Tuesday I called couldn’t get an answer when I did get one I told the sales rep that I needed to send him the pay stubs now and when we show up we can sign the loan and my mom can go back home. My mom lives out of the state. They made us wait an overly excessive amount of time for Zack came back. When he did he couldn’t verify how much my mom made because he didn’t know how to add the pay correctly. We had to show him. He then called the Sales Manger in the other building who tells him to call the bank. After he calls the bank and we have to Wait some more. He tells us my we both have to be members of the credit union by me becoming a member then maybe my mom will be able to get a membership. Then he had to mail the paystubs to the bank and we can come back in a few days to sign the loan paperwork. Everyone knew my mom was going home Tuesday. They also filled the loan agreement out wrong and put my mom name first when I need to be first so I can get tags for the car. They wasted my time and my moms time today and Saturday and lied to us. Then to have the sales manager call and say he was able to get us approved with another company with a lower payment but never told us until he found out the deal went bad is pretty low as well. Worst car buying experience ever and the worst trained staff I’ve ever dealt with. Please people do not buy from them. More
Poor Sales Experience We are in the market looking for a new car for my wife. She likes the VW Atlas. Due to my busy schedule, I sent her to the dealership to look at the cars and negotiate a deal if she so chose. From the get go, they offered her a small discount on one that was a left over 2018 (last years model). I get into the picture because she really wanted one. They offer a much more substantial discount to me. Is it because I am a man, I'll let you the reviewer decide. Any how, we couldn't get together on a deal. Since it was a leftover 2018, I expected a better deal. I jumped on their website approximately a month later (after the original negotiations) and noticed they still had a left over 2018. I thought since we are nearing the middle of 2019 they'd offer a greater discount to move it. Nope, they offered less of a discount than what was originally negotiated and the sales manager was basically making fun of me for my expectations even though it was what was originally agreed upon. In a text from the sales manager he stated verbatim the following: I'LL TALK TO THE BOSS LOL. By the way he never checked with the boss and never got back with me until I inquired. They will probably respond saying the incentives aren't what they were back when the original negotiations occurred. Well.... they don't know because they LOST the paperwork from the original negotiations. My experience with Evans VW has not been pleasant to say the least. They act as if they are too busy to work with me. I have always held the opinion that something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In this case, since the vehicle is a 2018 left over I expect a deal and don't expect to be ridiculed for that expectation. I will not be dealing with Evan's Motorworks again. More
Good business, terrible business model Bought a car here, great experience. Mike sold me a GTI that I love. BUT I have a huge issue with their overall business model regarding bus Bought a car here, great experience. Mike sold me a GTI that I love. BUT I have a huge issue with their overall business model regarding business hours. Their service center only caters to the unemployed as they are only open weekdays 8-6. Then also the whole dealership is closed on sundays. They lack the basic understand that most of their potential customers are of the working class and shop for cars and look for car services on weekends and after regular work hours. More

Buyer beware My one wish for this dealership is that Theo Dorian finds a wonderful job with a reputable dealer-- he tried to work with us in spite of Evans Motorwo My one wish for this dealership is that Theo Dorian finds a wonderful job with a reputable dealer-- he tried to work with us in spite of Evans Motorworks. In April 2017 we purchased a used BMW X3 from Evans Motorworks in Dayton, Ohio. We were told at the time, "all our vehicles are inspected by our service department"-- which we thought meant that the car met some type of mechanical standard. Immediately, the engine light came on (We assumed the service department hadn't reset the computer), then a headlight went out along with a light that washer fluid was empty. We filled the washer fluid - but the light didn't go out. Within two weeks and about 30 miles of driving the car, it started blowing enormous amounts of thick, white smoke out the exhaust. We had the vehicle serviced by a mechanic who replaced the CVC valve assembly and all hoses, which we purchased at Evans for over $200 (plus paying the mechanic $400 for troubleshooting and repairs). We brought the vehicle in to Evans because of the engine light, and because the mechanic had pointed out that the battery compartment was full of water and the engine cover for the spark plugs was missing. My husband asked to speak with the service department manager, Mo, who was very kind in speaking with my husband at length about all the issues. Mo told my husband that Evans would fix the car pro-bono because of all the problems we have had. Fast forward a month, the car is still sitting at Evans' with a water leak and a vacuum leak. We went back and said that if they would give us our money on the BMW we would buy a different car from the dealership. Evans' deal was to give us 1200 less for the BMW and raise the price of the car we wanted to buy by nearly $2000 over the previous asking price. We are reasonable people, and understand that they don't have to take the BMW back, but we thought since they pride themselves on being reputable, they would want to do the right thing--- buyers beware. The dealership still has the BMW, which isn't even worth the auction block or safe to drive. I hope the best for Theo, he is a wonderful young man, but save yourself from this unscrupulous dealership. More

Don't waste your time Possibly the worst experience I've ever had from beginning to end. They didn't have the model of Jetta I wanted but told me they did. When I got ther Possibly the worst experience I've ever had from beginning to end. They didn't have the model of Jetta I wanted but told me they did. When I got there, they showed me a Jetta SE 2.5, which was 5k more expensive. Bait and switch, anyone? Then they sold me a "Diamond Package" for some kind of exterior gloss coat - for $700 - and which they refused to honor when I had to have some scratches taken care of. They also gave me the wrong set of keys - the keys were for a different car and obviously didn't work when I tried to start the car at home. I realize they gave me the wrong set and had to take them BACK to the dealership to get the correct second set. They took HOURS to service my car and didn't offer a loaner car - or the free massages or pedicures they tell you they'll give you over on Miller Lane while you wait on your car. I really don't need a massage or pedicure so I don't care but don't offer it as a service and then "forget" to offer it. I was in the dealership for no less than 3 hours at one point. Thankfully I brought my laptop and was able to get some work done. Also, during my last oil change, they replaced a light but didn't put a part back correctly, which made the left headlight go out. I took it to the dealer and they said I'd have to purchase the part THEY lost during the service! Or I could just put duct tape over it. REALLY? You lost the part needed but my choices are to BUY a new one myself OR duct tape it? Is this place for real? I really wish I'd never gone to Evans. I'll never go back. In fact, I'll probably never buy another VW again. Save your time and money. DO NOT GO TO EVANS! More
Horrible experience Evans is the worst dealership and service department I have ever dealt with. The sold us a used vehicle with a blown head gasket and now my $18000 veh Evans is the worst dealership and service department I have ever dealt with. The sold us a used vehicle with a blown head gasket and now my $18000 vehicle is sitting in my driveway with a blown engine. When we took it to their service department they said that's what a saturn vue does. Three times we took it there and every time they said it was fine. We also had to replace every tie rod end and two axles. Which should have been fixed before ever putting it out to be sold. We had to pay 100 deductible every time for each tie rod which should have only taken 100 to have been fixed one time not three More
Go Any Where Else!!!! Extremely shady management staff. Cameron told me one thing and did something completely different. They will do anything to get you in a new car even Extremely shady management staff. Cameron told me one thing and did something completely different. They will do anything to get you in a new car even if it is flat out lying about the terms of the deal. When I tried to resolve the issue with them they said a deals a deal you signed the contract. Patrick and the sales team were very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately there is a lack of leadership in this company which will ultimately ruin your experience. Save yourself the frustration and hassle that the Evans brand is known for delivering! More
