They refuse to sell me the car because I'm not a US citizen. I went there to buy a new Mercedes, put down $500 deposit, and waited for them to approve the financing. After a day I called them to che citizen. I went there to buy a new Mercedes, put down $500 deposit, and waited for them to approve the financing. After a day I called them to check the process, they said they needed more documents from me. So I gave them the documents and waited for another day. Then I called back again since they NEVER called me about anything. Then they told me the bank would't approve the financing. So a day later I borrowed some money from my parents and told them that I would pay CASH. But after another day when I went to the dealership, the Sales Manager Jim Pratt said he wouldn't sell me the car due to my visa status, even if I pay out the car all in cash. So I wasted 4 days just to know that I couldn't buy the car. I clearly informed them my visa status when I first talked to the sales person, so they knew the information from day one. But they had to wait until day 4 to let me know they couldn't sell me the car. Funny thing is I just bought another new Mercedes from another dealership today, and they didn't have any problem with me being a foreigner. I also called Mercedes's corporate center and they told me Mercedes doesn't have such a rule at all. But because Euro Motorcars kept me waiting, my CarMax appraisal expired, and I had to traded in my old car for less. So clearly Jim Pratt is making up some lies because he doesn't want to sell me the car for unknown reasons. And I suffered losses of both time and money. I will be seeking compensation from Jim Pratt and Euro Motorcars. More
Eric Scott is the best. The whole team at Euro is amazing, actually. Far from your typical dealership experience. Eric treats you and --the whole team-- give you VIP treatment regardless if you're i amazing, actually. Far from your typical dealership experience. Eric treats you and --the whole team-- give you VIP treatment regardless if you're interested in a C class or S class. I found Eric when I moved out here and just recently got my second Benz from him. He truly has the customer in mind and acts more like an advisor than a salesman. I won't go anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend Eric Scott for your next Mercedes Benz. I am extremely happy and impressed with the team and service at EuroMotorCars Bethesda. Thanks Eric. More
Our most recent experience at EuroMotorcars Bethesda shows why we've been customers for over 20 years. Eric Scott (our Sales Consultant) and Randy Merry (Sales Manager) made the roll-over of our lease shows why we've been customers for over 20 years. Eric Scott (our Sales Consultant) and Randy Merry (Sales Manager) made the roll-over of our lease into a new Mercedes a smooth and enjoyable experience. Eric's advice on the right car for us (even steering us away from more expensive choices!) was insightful and really helped to simplify the process. In fact, he seems more like a friend who happens to sell cars than a car salesman. EuroMotorcars is a different kind of dealership -- friendly, sincere and professional. We hope to be customers for a long time to come. More
1) Initial background and credit check process: the manager of the dealer basically treated me like a crook and was using intermediaries on his staff to come ask me questions. This is really poor custo manager of the dealer basically treated me like a crook and was using intermediaries on his staff to come ask me questions. This is really poor customer service and absolutely unacceptable. Any questions should have been asked face to face as opposed to wielding power from a different room. 2) Credit process: the finance manager was stand offish and rude. Rather than trying to help with the deal, he made it a point to behave like a total jerk. He was snapping responses and came off as doing me a favor by selling me a car. Again, extremely poor customer service and absolutely unacceptable. My bank agreed to a much lower interest rate but the finance manager was unwilling to work with my bank and essentially forced me to sign the credit he was offering. This was after I had already paid 45% of the vehicle price in cash. 3) Registration process: 2 weeks after the vehicle had been purchased, I got a note from the dealer about the emissions requirement that had not been completed. This was after I had already dropped the car back at the dealer to get it shipped to my final destination. It led to a fire drill for myself to drive over 60 miles so that the car could be back at the dealer in time and get shipped as per schedule (guess what... it still got delayed). This is poor organization and communication. I would have expected more efficiency throughout this process. 4) Shuttle service: When asked about the dealer's shuttle service, I was told that the range was 10 miles by the sales person. When I got to the dealership, the shuttle clerk basically laughed at me and said the range was 1 mile. I was dropped off at a station that was not the most convenient for me to get back home. Extremely poor customer service. Again, felt that the dealer was doing me a favor by selling me a car. 5) Shipping process: Since the initiation of the deal, I had a clear requirement that my car should be with me by February 8 since I would be in a new city and not have any other means of transportation. The vehicle was dropped off with the dealer 8 days in advance and still managed to miss the delivery date by 3 days. This led to me incurring rental car charges of $103 that were unplanned and not expected. In addition to all of this, there was no contact information provided to me for the trucking company. Until two hours before the delivery of the vehicle, I had NO idea who had my car, where it was and when it would be getting to my destination. During this same process, I had my entire home packed and shipped and Allied van lines was able to get my items down to my destination in 4 days. For some reason Euro Motorcars' trucking company took more than twice that amount of time. Extremely poor organization and planning skills. Complete lack of customer service. Again, going above and beyond to make the transaction as hard as possible. More
I have given the high ratings because from the the first moment I walked into the dealership every aspect from picking out the car I wanted, through financing and delivery was professional and courteous. Alan Webster is an amazing first class dealer! He was warm and welcoming from the time he first called me to the moment I left the lot (with my new Benz). Unlike a lot of dealers, he listened to what I w warm and welcoming from the time he first called me to the moment I left the lot (with my new Benz). Unlike a lot of dealers, he listened to what I wanted and he made me feel in control of my buying experience. There was never a feeling of pressure and I was elated when I drove home with the Benz I loved at a price that I loved. Nothing to hard for him to fix or make right!! Thanks Alan from a very satisfied customer!! More
I reached price agreement with a saleswoman on the phone over a new GL450. I went in there at the weekend to complete the purchase. I was expecting to have a quick transaction. However after kept me waiting over a new GL450. I went in there at the weekend to complete the purchase. I was expecting to have a quick transaction. However after kept me waiting for more than 30 minutes when no one else is around, the sales manager Jim Pratt came over to present his new offer which is $2500 over the previously agreed price! Both the sales manager and the saleswoman failed to answer my question about why they do not honor the price negotiated on the phone. I was totally disgusted by their shady sales tactic, walked out the dealership. The worst car buying experience that I did not expect to get from a Mercedes dealer. More
I highly recommend EuroMotorcars Bethesda (EMB)! I recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and my experience was amazing. The sales representatives were highly trained and the manager recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and my experience was amazing. The sales representatives were highly trained and the manager made sure I got a great deal. Unlike staff in many other dealers, EMB’s was not aggressive, but courteous and relaxed. What’s more, they made me feel relaxed. Furthermore, through their own workshop, they fixed all issues to my liking and fully serviced the car before final delivery (I was picked up by a staff member to go pick it up!). Now, after owning a great vehicle, EMB continues to provide excellent service when I need it. Bravo EMB! More
This is the second car I have purchased from Euromotorcars. With the first, everything went well. With this one, everything went well except they did not read their own contract and then proce Euromotorcars. With the first, everything went well. With this one, everything went well except they did not read their own contract and then proceeded to harass us into changing the contract after the fact. Very unpleasant experience. More
