Just went for oil change and tire rotated picked up my van I found out that something is wrong with the car making too much noise in the front next day I took it back. They took the car inside. Formal Complaint to Toyota Dealership Service Manager To: Service Manager Juan Gonzalez(service advisor) CC: Sam Patel (626)327-1755 Sdsyal921@gmail.com Date: December 7, 2025 Subject: Manager To: Service Manager Juan Gonzalez(service advisor) CC: Sam Patel (626)327-1755 Sdsyal921@gmail.com Date: December 7, 2025 Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Service Visit and Misdiagnosis on 12/03/2025 Toyota Sienna vin# 5TDKZ3DC3HS767869 Dear Service Manager & Juan Gonzalez(service advisor) I am writing to formally complain about the service, inspection accuracy, and subsequent misdiagnosis of my 2017 Toyota Sienna 5TDKZ3DC3HS767869 Timeline of Events and Facts 1. Initial Service: On 12/03/2025 at 12:37pm I brought my Sienna in for a standard oil change and tire rotation. The vehicle underwent a multi-point inspection. The official inspection report stated there were NO problems with the vehicle. 2. New Problem Arises: Immediately following the service specifically the tire rotation, a noticeable and concerning noise began to come from the vehicle. as I was driving at home and we only live a block away. 3. Return Visit & Diagnosis: I promptly returned the vehicle to your dealership the next morning at 8:00 AM to address the new noise. Your team diagnosed the issue as two completely failed front wheel bearings and stated this was the cause of the noise. and they told me a completely ridiculous price. They told me $2500 but they wouldn’t put it on paper. they were only giving me a verbal quote. What kind of business does that when I have documents of dropping off the vehicle picking up the vehicle and you give me a diagnosis report what we got but refused to get the coat 4. Independent Verification & True Cause: Because of the alarming diagnosis, I sought a second opinion from an independent mechanic. This mechanic immediately identified the issue not as a bearing failure, but as a direct result of the recent tire rotation. After they re-rotated the tires, the noise completely stopped. The Problem Your service department provided a negligent inspection, then misdiagnosed a sound that was demonstrably caused by the work they just performed. And are trying to hustle customers now because you have a new facility This led to: • Misdiagnosis: Claiming two major parts (wheel bearings) were "gone" when the issue was merely a consequence of the tire rotation • Wasted Time & Money: The serious diagnosis forced me to rent a vehicle due to concern over the car's safety, as I was driving up to San Francisco. That’s why we got the car serviced this incurring unnecessary rental fees. Required Resolution I expect the following actions to be taken immediately to compensate for the inconvenience and poor service: 1. Full Refund for the oil change and tire rotation service performed on 12/3/2025 and another oil change 2. Full Reimbursement for the cost of the rental car I had to secure due to your misdiagnosis. (I will provide the receipt.) 3. A written explanation of why a critical misdiagnosis of a simple tire rotation issue occurred. I expect to hear back from you directly within 24 hours to confirm how and when these actions will be completed. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I will be forwarding this complaint and all associated documentation to Toyota Corporate Headquarters.
