Overcharges for simple repairs My 87 year old mother took her car in when the check engine light went on. After over an hour of waiting a mechanic came out and told her the car was My 87 year old mother took her car in when the check engine light went on. After over an hour of waiting a mechanic came out and told her the car was fixed and presented her with a bill for $95.00. All that was wrong was the gas cap wasn't screwed on properly. Needless to say my mom was upset and after some argument the mechanic decided that he would give her a break and charge her only $41.00. This is something that should have been checked first and DONE FOR FREE!! My mother purchased her car at Empire Toyota. The sales person was misrepresentitive and slipped in a service contract that my mom specifically said a few times that she didn't want. More

They fixed it when other dealers would not I had a dead combo-meter (instrument cluster) on my 2007 Prius registered in Florida. Another upstate NY dealer would not even deal with the problem, I had a dead combo-meter (instrument cluster) on my 2007 Prius registered in Florida. Another upstate NY dealer would not even deal with the problem, but Empire did the research needed, scheduled the work, got the back-ordered part, and put me back in the road with a speedometer, fuel gauge, cruise control, antilock brakes, backup lights, etc. back in service before heading south 1600 miles.
