Pleasurable New Car Purchase Experience My wife convinced me it was time to get a new car with all the driving I do up and down the Cajon Pass and to and from the Coachella Valley for meetin My wife convinced me it was time to get a new car with all the driving I do up and down the Cajon Pass and to and from the Coachella Valley for meetings. I had been driving a 2005 Altima S that only had 60k miles on it that was still running strong thanks to Gary Worley in the Service Department, who by the way, has been working there for 30 years. I called Joe Sartor, Fleet Director, and who we have bought a number of Nissans from over the years. He told me to just let him know whenever we were going to swing by so he could answer any questions concerning the new models or help us in any way. A few days later, I gave him a call and told him we were going to swing by that afternoon. We went down and looked at several new Altima models and test drove an Altima S. We then discussed several Altima models and Joe was most helpful with reviewing all the features and options we wanted that were on the various models and the associated pricing. I then test drove and fell in love with the 2016 Gun Metallic Gray Altima SV after taking it for a test drive, and this car had all the features that were important to us and included some very nice upgrades as to options and styling. We then discussed all the purchase/lease options and available rebates and decided to select the 0% APR incentive. As it was late in the day, we decided to come back the next day to finish up the paperwork and to give them time to get the car detailed and ready for delivery to us. When we went back the next day, Joe reviewed the discounts we had discussed the day before and also told us that there was an additional $500 rebate that had just become available. He added that into the price that we had negotiated, completed the paperwork for us in his office, took us out to our new 2016 Altima and took us through the model orientation so we would be familiar with most of the features and options. We then drove off in our sparkling new 2016 Altima SV and I have been very happy with its power and handling when compared to my old 2005 Altima. The faithful 2005 Altima is now at my Mother's house as the vehicle that she will now be driving. Our new car consideration and buying experience was such a pleasure as there was absolutely no pressure on the part of Joe Sartor or anyone from the dealership, and it was so nice to arrive on a good deal price for the car we wanted and literally get all the paperwork handled in relatively short order. I would highly recommend Empire Nissan to anyone considering buying or leasing a new Nissan, and I would particularly recommend Joe Sartor as an extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly person to deal with if you have the opportunity to do so. More
Good but not great My experience at your service department was ok. I did make reservations and that was a plus. I pulled up and right away someone came forward to assist me, the only thing that bugged me was when I asked about my recall to one person and the other service agent without making eye contact said that it wasn't possible to be fixed. Why I asked and I couldn't get a straight answer I was told it wasn't that busy but they didn't know to much about the recall and they where waiting for more info. It being that it was a recall on airbags made me feel uneasy driving away with my son in the car not knowing if we where protected if God forbid something happened. At the end I got the self explanatory check sheet but I feel it should be talked about with customer regardless if the service was free or paying for it. More
