My experience with Empire Motor Cars has been just fine so far! We think we got a good car for a good price. They were able to get me the interest rate and financing that I wanted. I recently purchased a car from Empire Motor Cars, and felt the need to leave a comment after my experience. When I think of "used car dealerships" I have always been skeptical. However, this dealership s felt the need to leave a comment after my experience. When I think of "used car dealerships" I have always been skeptical. However, this dealership separates themselves from the norm. Matt was genuinely helpful, prompt in following up, and surprisingly honest. I am very pleased with my car, and would recommend Empire Motor Cars to my closest friends and family. More
I purchased the Hummer from Empire that the gentleman below is ranting about and was asked to leave feedback. He is a dealer as am I but My initial contact with them was a week before I purchased it and below is ranting about and was asked to leave feedback. He is a dealer as am I but My initial contact with them was a week before I purchased it and if not for my banks delay on wiring the funds it wouldve been sooner. The only issue I had was that the time it took for delivery was slightly longer than I was told, but I dont feel Empire is at fault . The Hummer was as advertised and I am satisfied. Prompt and organized- will recommend- LS More
This used car dealer will tell you one thing and do another, they will tell you what you want to hear. They have a bad reputation and will write a review for themselves or have friends write one for th another, they will tell you what you want to hear. They have a bad reputation and will write a review for themselves or have friends write one for them to cover up a bad review. My dealings with them was a very bad experience due to the fact they told us we had bought a vehicle then sold it for a little higher to someone else. These people as individuals or as a group have a record of bad dealings with lots of customers by taking advantage of them and not being truthful. CAUTION, go to an honest place, not to Empire Motor Cars. As another review stated, "Don't let those fancy cars fool you". More
I totally recoment this dealership. I found what I was looking for. It was the first car that I bought and they gave me a reasonable down payment. Ive been to alot of dealerships and have worked in the field for 15 yrs before getting into the medical field and I know it is very hard for a preowned dealer to keep all of its customers happy, these guy field for 15 yrs before getting into the medical field and I know it is very hard for a preowned dealer to keep all of its customers happy, these guys genuinely care about you and your car, at first things were a little rough due to some small issues that I was iffy on them taking care of but they fulfilled the agreement. Do not buy anything from dis place! I bought a car from them and in about 3 weeks the engine broke down on it. The mechanic that checked it said the car was already in the process of breaking down before I them and in about 3 weeks the engine broke down on it. The mechanic that checked it said the car was already in the process of breaking down before I bought it, and to top it off they ended up hitting my car when they told me to take it to their lot to get the car checked out. Some one must have backed out into it. They sell cars with alot of problems!, just go check them out at the better business bureau website and youll see for yourself all the bad complaints about them! Also they are full of bs, they will lie to you!, they'll say one thing and then the next day they'll say a different thing. This place is very badly operated and have bad selling practices! Ok, so we found this car dealership, and the review that it had was ok. My fiancé and I both have bad credit, but we are in need of a new vehicle. My fiancé found the "CAR OF HIS DREAMS". A 1999 Trans Am, V it had was ok. My fiancé and I both have bad credit, but we are in need of a new vehicle. My fiancé found the "CAR OF HIS DREAMS". A 1999 Trans Am, V-8, Standard, Blue, WS6 Suspension, Ram Air. The online ad said $7,500.00. The price was a little high for 175,000 miles, but the car was pretty clean. We talked to Matt, the manager, and filled out a credit application on a Saturday. He told us that he would have an answer within the hour. He then called back and said that the bank was closed, so we would have an answer on Monday. Then Monday, he still hasn’t called. I called him. He said that he still didn’t have an answer. I asked him to call them. He never called me back. Then the finance company called my fiancé on Tuesday, asked a couple of questions and told him we were approved. I called Matt and told me our payments were 307.25 for 36 months. That totals over $11,000. I asked him to send me the invoice, showing the finance charges. The invoice had the wrong car, which leads to believe that the finance company thinks we are financing a different car. Then the price for the car was raised from $7,500 to $8,500. I asked him why the car was wrong, and he told me because they just pick a car to send to the finance company. I asked him about the price and he said there is a $2,500 fee for financing someone with bad credit and that we have to pay part of that. Then I told him ok, we will come pick up the car, again this was Tuesday. He then said, well there is a problem with the car, my detail guy took the car to get it detailed and he was hit from behind. I have a claim in with my insurance company to come out and look at it. I told him that he needed to call me when the car was ready. He said that the only way he could hold the car is for me to put the deposit down on the car. Don’t you think that if the insurance company was going to “fix” the car it would be in a shop somewhere and not on the car lot for a supposed replacement of the back bumper? Bottom line is that if you are financing a car with this place, check your paperwork, invoice and everything that goes to the finance company. We have contacted the finance company to check on the fees and prices, along with checking to see if the car we were going to purchase was the car they listed for financing. We are also checking to see if we are locked into this place or if we can take their financing to another dealership that is going to be a little more truthful in their lending practices. More
