I knew that I was going to face high pressure sales but these people went above and beyond! I had done my homework and knew the vehicle that I wanted to purchase. I emphasized repeatedly that I did not want gamesmanship and only wanted to know the bottom line. They could, apparently, not get past their usual way of doing business and kept asking me what I wanted to pay a month. I could not get them off this tactic. When I pointed out that the ad quoted a certain price, they basically admitted the bait and switch and continued with the onslaught of sales pressure. At one point, they wanted me to write them a check to show my "good faith"! Two days after I had left, the GM, Paul, called me and flat out lied to me, offering me a price on a GLX Tucson that was, in actuality, a GL. I mean, flat out lied. All I had to do was check the inventory on the web site to find out the truth. In short, the worst! I'm actually glad that I went to Empire Hyundai first as they were so obviously over the top with the BS that every other place that I went to was a breath of fresh air. More

We were welcomed by Mr. James Washington who was standing out in the rain to greet customers. James made the experience comfortable and informative. He has a great deal of knowledge about different autos but his personality, friendliness and wit was what made our experience so enjoyable. We ended up test driving and buying the car we were interested in. James ensured that all our questions and concerns were answered, paperwork completed and vehicle plates transferred. The finance manager Justin, was easy to work with and got us a good finance rate. In the past we have experienced unpleasant service and pressure to buy at other dealerships but that is not the case at Empire. Their commitment to us, their customers, is exceptional. We would highly recommend Empire Hyundai to any buyer of a new or used vehicle. More

This dealership went above and beyond. I received a mail flyer from Hyundai and thought I would check out the deal being offered. I bought my previous Hyundai from Empire and had a good experience. I arrived at the dealership at 7pm and it was pouring rain. My sales rep Andrew and the sales manager Paul made the experience comfortable and informative. Due to the rain, after the test drive, they pulled the new car into the garage covered area inside, so I could fully take a look under lights and in dry conditions around the car. The dealership closed at 9pm, but Andrew, Paul, a finance manager and service/parts manager all stayed until 10:45pm to ensure that all my questions were answered, paperwork completed and vehicle plates were transferred. It was a long night for me the buyer and I felt bad that they all stayed. Their commitment to me, their customer, was exceptionally more than I anticipated. I would more than highly recommend Empire Hyundai to an buyer, especially professionals who want a great experience buying a new car and the value that Hyundai provides all around with their new cars. This was the most frustrating experience I have ever encountered, it took 4 hours, to negotiate a deal, which was no where close to where I needed to be, after wasting that much time of my life, I left, encountered, it took 4 hours, to negotiate a deal, which was no where close to where I needed to be, after wasting that much time of my life, I left, I called the manager the following day, and the owner, they told me to come back, when I did another 3 hours to get the numbers to where I said I needed them to be. Another week before I could actually drive my car home, but then they told me I couldn't have the sunroof, that we had already negotiated, and they already put in, made me pay 1200 dollars for the sun roof before I could take the xxxx car home. Most frustrating experience ever!! More
I'm a single mother who was "lured" into this dealership after they posted a price for a vehicle online that was inaccurate. In fact, I wasn't told the price was inaccurate until I sat down this dealership after they posted a price for a vehicle online that was inaccurate. In fact, I wasn't told the price was inaccurate until I sat down to discuss "business" and the salesman started at OVER $3000 the listed price online!!! He then went on to babble about the fact that "it's the only way to get customers into the place"!! And then went on to justify that statement, a million different ways. Well I had a budget, and when I wouldn't budge after his "best offer" was to take $300 bucks off the over inflated price. I told him I was leaving, he literally begged me not to go and asked if his manager could just ask me a couple of questions about his service because he was new. It was a bunch of B.S but I said fine, the Manager Paul came over and it was DOWNHILL FAST FROM THERE. This guy was so pushy, rude and belligerent. There's a sales guy behind him drinking water out of a gallon jug like a meat head at the gym and screaming into the phone. The more I told him I was no longer interested in the vehicle, the more belligerent, angry and aggressive he became. I don't know if he was trying to prove himself to this new salesman or what, but he would not stop. I was clearly uncomfortable, and I told him NO, a dozen times, and I also told him "I wanted time to think" a dozen times. He would not give me a chance to breath, I literally stood up and walked out. He ended up literally CHASING me out of the car dealership, when I kept telling him that I wanted to think about the offer, the car and the situation I had put myself in!!! Uncomfortable is an understatement, if I wanted that car at ALL prior to meeting this man...dealing with this unprofessional bully completely changed my mind!! After over an hour in there, I walked out and as I said he chased me (literally running on foot) in a rage only to tell me that if I want the car, he was going UP ON THE PRICE BY AN EXTRA $2000...I'm assuming because he was angry that I wouldn't take his other 'offers'. It was completely inappropriate, awkward, rude and unprofessional. Safe to say if that were giving that car away I wouldn't take it. More
I was lied to by a sales manager who claimed the rate/payment was directly from the bank, when it was STILL pending approval. Later, payment was way more. Called me wanting me to confirm this information with the bank!! The bank then called me to confirm this information. Thankfully, I am honest- because they said they already looked up the VIN and knew it did not have all these extra options. More
Empire Hyundai's "customer service" representatives are rude and don't care about the customer. I called with an issue around my registration, hoping that a "customer focused" business representatives are rude and don't care about the customer. I called with an issue around my registration, hoping that a "customer focused" business like a car dealership would be willing to help with the issue. Instead I got a woman with an attitude who seemed completely uninterested in trying to get to the bottom of the issue and just told me she knew "nothing about that." When I asked if there was someone who did, she said "no" and wouldn't elaborate further. Basically, she refused to help me, which is the opposite of what customer service reps are supposed to do. I would not recommend Empire Hyundai to anyone. More
