I have to say that the overall experience was a little better then I expected. The sales person and his manager were understanding to my financial situation and seemed to work hard to get to the price I better then I expected. The sales person and his manager were understanding to my financial situation and seemed to work hard to get to the price I was comfortable with. Having never owned a Hyundai I was a little leery about getting one, but after driving it for a couple of days I am very happy with my new Veloster and absolutely love driving it. More
I wanted to write this review because I am totally satisfied with the experience that I had at Empire Hyundai. My husband and I were recommended to Empire Hyundai by my neighbor who told us that he satisfied with the experience that I had at Empire Hyundai. My husband and I were recommended to Empire Hyundai by my neighbor who told us that he bought his car there and was totally satisfied with it. When we drove up we were greeted by a salesperson named Ron. He asked us some questions about what we were looking for in a car. We told him good gas mileage and looks were most important. He then took us for a ride in an Elantra, which seemed a bit small for us. Then he took us for a ride in a Sonata. That was the deal closer for us. We loved it!! We came together on the price in no time and we got a good price on our trade with help from their manager Jerry, who was very nice. Ron then bought us a coffee while we waited for all the paperwork to be completed by the finance person Joe. Joe asked us a few questions and drew up a deal that was comfortable for us to afford on a fixed income. He was also easy to deal with. Everything was approved and we were ready to drive off with our new car. It didn't take long at all. Right before we left Ron took us by the service area and made an appointment to have our first oil change. The owner, Rick Torres, happened to be walking by when Ron introduced us to him. Mr. Torres asked us if we were satisfied with our whole experience and we said we definately were. We also told him that we would make sure to tell friends and family and he seemed happy. He said anyone we sent he would make sure they would get a good deal also. Empire Hyundai is the place to go where you are treated like a VIP, and treated with respect. More

Con Artists. I really don't understand how there are positive reviews for this place. Maybe people from the dealership are writing these suspiciously enthusiastic reviews? The abridged version of my ex positive reviews for this place. Maybe people from the dealership are writing these suspiciously enthusiastic reviews? The abridged version of my experience… When I showed up and asked about a car I had seen in the paper I was brought in to sit at a desk instead of being shown the car. They seemed friendly and it looked like a nice place so I tried to see where this was going. I ended up being there for well over a half an hour before I even saw the car. Meanwhile, I was asked how much money I make and my SSN, and like an idiot I gave those things up because they told me it was to get me the best deal. After test driving the car and asking multiple times how much the car was and having the question deflected, I was finally brought back inside and given a price a little higher than I remember seeing. I had an idea of how much the car was but couldn't remember exactly because I had been looking at so many cars. They tried to throw a lot of payment numbers at me to try to confuse me. I said I wasn’t buying the car today and of course the salesman persisted and eventually brought over the manager to try to bully me into buying the car. After going home I looked in the paper and realized they gave me a price that was $4,000 higher than the price they gave me. The thing that bothers me the most is how many questions the salesman asked about where I heard about the car to try to see if I saw the price anywhere. There are so many laws and regulations in MA, I'm blown away that places like this are allowed to operate. I'm pissed that I wasted so much time at this place while being given the runaround and I am a little worried about giving them my SSN. Avoid at all costs. Also, funny that i can't use the username empiresucks because it has already been taken, enough said. More
I would highly recommend Empire Hyundai to anyone ,my husband and I were greeted by Caesar who was very friendly and put you at ease right away. (Quite a difference from route 44 hyundai where i had prev husband and I were greeted by Caesar who was very friendly and put you at ease right away. (Quite a difference from route 44 hyundai where i had previously purchased a car) We chose a new sonata , Caesar took us outside showed us all the car had to offer and took us on a test drive .I decided that i loved it and inside we went to purchase the car , this is the part normally people dread, much to my surprise i didn;t feel attacked or pressured in fact it was quite the opposite, Caesar and the empire team really seemed like they want thier customers to be in the car they want for the price they can afford .Needless so say i purchsed the car that day and my husband and i talked all the way home about how awesome the experience was. We have an will continue to tell anyone to visit Empire Hyundai. Thank you again Caesar for making our experience a great one from beginning to end. Sincerly, Sharon Elias More
I purchased a new hyundai from empire only to find out i had been scammed in almost every way possible!! i recieved all false values on the trade in and also the factory sticker was changed and i did reciev had been scammed in almost every way possible!! i recieved all false values on the trade in and also the factory sticker was changed and i did recieve the rebates for new vehicle but went towards my trade in to cover their low ball values . I would reccomend everyone stay far away from this dealer. Now they have these two clowns promoted one as a sales manager and the other is now the general manager . Shame on me lesson learned i am now into the car for double what it is worth!! Thank you Rick Torres!!!!!! More
The salesman that we have was very sarcastic and made my fiance and I feel as if we did not know what we were talking about. After we seemed to have made a deal, or so I thought, we reached an agreement on fiance and I feel as if we did not know what we were talking about. After we seemed to have made a deal, or so I thought, we reached an agreement on a payment that I could afford. The day that we reached the deal was a normal business day, but for some reason they told us that they could not get the loan financed until the next day but not to worry because we would just have to come in and sign some paperwork and we would be all set. That was wrong! When we arrived the next day after driving our new car for an entire day and really starting to like the vehicle they informed us that our payments would be an extra 82 dollars more than what we agreed too and then still tried to negotiate with me and pressure me in to buying the car from them. AWFUL DEALERSHIP MANNERS...DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED, SKETCHY SALESMAN, and SKETCHY MORALS!!! More
I have only bought one brand of car for many years. After a few co-workers purchased a Sonata, Santa Fe, Accent and Elenata. I said guess I need to stop by and look at something other than a Toyota. I was bl a few co-workers purchased a Sonata, Santa Fe, Accent and Elenata. I said guess I need to stop by and look at something other than a Toyota. I was blown out the doors with smoke and mirror by the Sales Manager and Finance Manager. After several hours of back and worth on a Santa Fe, they finely agreed to my price. But when I they told me my interest rate was double digit I laughed. They couldn't have know my credit score, because I have a credit lock. I said, okay I'll go to my bank across the street and get a loan. They said if I did that the price we agreed on would be void. I released the credit lock and they came back with a very high single digit rate, still knowing I could do better at my bank. I finely said, get my banks rate or I'm walking at that time I asked about adding GAP coverage, they told me it was $1,000.00 for GAP. I grabbed my trades keys and left. Which by the way they offered me $4,000.00 less than clean trade value. I drove away and called to reactivate my credit lock. I was informed that that they submitted my credit app, to 10 banks, five of those banks after I left. I drove to my another Hyundai dealer in Rhode Island, and within two hours, I had a better deal on a Santa Fe Limited than on the SE I looked at Empire and GAP cost me $575.00 and I got a rate of a quarter point over my bank. I also got all the money for my trade. Stay away! Should have known the place was shady with all the sales people hoovering outside looking to kill and attack you. More

Slick sales people. They took teh MSRP value of the car, added $5K to it, then offered $5K for my trade in value. So they wanted to give me 0 for my car and sell the car for MSRP and tried to make it sound added $5K to it, then offered $5K for my trade in value. So they wanted to give me 0 for my car and sell the car for MSRP and tried to make it sound like the deal of the century. I really feel that they treat prospective customers like fools. I know they do OK over there, but if your in the market for a new car, BEWARE. Don't go there looking for a bargain, because they just shuffle trade in values and add on costs to the MSRP to get you to pay full price. By the way thier definition of MSRP is just a basline for their pricing. " They determine the prices of thier car by how popular the vehical is " I have a feeling they only sell " popular cars " there and doubt you will see anything on thiet lot at or below a MSRP. Hopefully I can save you some time. Go to RT44 Hundai and save yoruself hours of BS. by Shawn S. on 2/27/2012 More
