Car shopping leaves me VERY apprehensive! Nothing like getting one foot out the door and someone is already standing there to greet you. I had already spoken with someone from the dealership the day befor getting one foot out the door and someone is already standing there to greet you. I had already spoken with someone from the dealership the day before so I had an idea who I was meeting with. As I approached the front door. I was met by at least 2 more salesmen. (get the feeling vulcha vs prey). The manager handed my husband and I over to Aaron Dudley. This young man WAS AWESOME! He was attentive to our needs and honest with the numbers. Aarron we WILL BE back for you! Save me a Genesis! I will take it in candy apple RED! More
Ready to buy and they made it happen , the negotiation process was easy, and they explained all my options regarding service ,financing, all good for both parties. process was easy, and they explained all my options regarding service ,financing, all good for both parties. More
This place is an absalute joke. First our sales person was very unknowledgable. Which meant everytime we asked a question he took off for 15 minutes to go ask. What fun. So the manager comes over and was very unknowledgable. Which meant everytime we asked a question he took off for 15 minutes to go ask. What fun. So the manager comes over and asks what monthly payments i want. i stated i know how much i want to spend not monthly payments. So he asks are you trading. I said well i have read reviews and the complaints are you roll trades in with price of car. I am not upside down so i want to seperate transactions. He assured me that that is for people who are upside down on there loan. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i look at about 9 to 10 cars all in the price range i was looking for picked a car when went to the numbers SURE ENOUGH trade is rolled in and the car i was looking at was 3500 more dollars than they had said. How does that happen. Also there ad according to the scam artist manager says that all prices are with 3500 down and 1500 trade. Another inside note that i found out they have people going on to review sites to put in exellent reviews for them so be carefull. This place is a scam AVOID it trust me or you will pay alot more for a car More
overall I had a wonderful experience. Ron was exceptional in his knowledge when it came to choosing the right car for my family and needs. He totally went above and beyond to get us the right car. When it ca in his knowledge when it came to choosing the right car for my family and needs. He totally went above and beyond to get us the right car. When it came to finance, they went above and beyond to get us the right loan. The only down fall to the overall dealership, they do not have vending machines for the "waiting" on the finance. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family, and also make the trip back for any new purchases in the future. I have to admit I was totally skeptical when it came to buying a car, but they made it easy! More
I suppose my experience wasn't the worst, but it was FAR from a pleasant one. I did drive away in the exact car I wanted, that day. Does that mean I was done with the dealership that day? HAHA.. two week from a pleasant one. I did drive away in the exact car I wanted, that day. Does that mean I was done with the dealership that day? HAHA.. two weeks later I'm still going back and forth. I'm really not a pain in the butt customer, but I'm not stupid either. I had a number in mind that I could afford per month, and that's how we negotiated. I was previously paying $269/month, and set my absolute cap at $369/month. When I drove away with the car, everything was "all set" at exactly $369/month. Now mind you, this was for a car just one model year newer than the one I was trading in. So, they had my trade in, the purchase and sale was signed, good to go. The only reason (supposedly) that we weren't doing the rest of the paperwork at that time was because it was 6pm on a Saturday and the "approval process couldn't go through after business hours." Funny since last time I bought a car there we did it at 7pm on a Saturday, but whatever. Fine, I went with that. We made an appointment for me to come back to finish paperwork, which was a big enough pain as is, working full time and going to school even more... but you gotta do what you gotta do. I made the appointment at a time where I would be leaving work 2 hours early, the best I could do. I made the 45 minute drive to the dealer, and the sales manager was out sick. Actually, they said he was at the hospital. They tried to call me but had the wrong number, they said. Fine, things happen. Could anyone else there even go over my paperwork with me? No, absolutely not, they said. Only the finance manager can get in the system. Never, ever can anyone else EVER get into the system. Fine, my trip was wasted, but I'll come back. Things happen. We scheduled another appointment and this time I went into work LATE to go finish the paperwork. Finance manager was still out... but low and behold, Eric Moura (the same man who sternly told me nobody else could ever get into the system just the day before) YEA, he was the one who magically got into the system and went over everything with me. I was made to sign blank copies of contracts, on top of the regular ones, "in case there were mistakes." I had to sign a BLANK purchase and sales agreement, where they could put in whatever numbers they felt like? Are you kidding me? And what is my payment now? Oh, a slight change" to $477/month. Apparently when they got me to the number of $369, that was based on an 84 month loan which he admitted the banks almost never approve. I took off the extended warranty and got down to $455/month. That's only $100 less than my mortgage. The next day I received a call from my salesman, and expected it would be to tell me my registration was all set. Instead, it was to say that the number they wrote down for what I owed on my other car was short $544 and, exact quote, "so I'm gonna need you to cut me a check for $544." UM, no. My very first guess on what I owed was indeed wrong, but before ANY paperwork was done the salesman called the Hyundai Motor Finance and got an EXACT number that I owed. HE wrote it down incorrectly. Not only that, but we had put down $500 to offset the difference anyways, so my monthly payment wouldn't change because of the mix up in amount owed. This made for another trip to the dealership to fight it out. They made it a point to make me feel real bad that "poor Nolan with the baby at home is going to have to pay $50 extra out of his paycheck every week until the difference is paid off, AND he only got $75 off the sale". First of all, trying to make me feel bad for THEIR mistake? Really? And second, I KNOW I paid far above MSRP for that car, since my main focus was monthly payment and not the price itself. My fault that I paid too much, yes. But no need to guilt trip me over something that was the salesman's mistake. Then there was another trip because they said my registration was ready, and it wasn't. Then there was another trip to actually pick up my registration. I don't actually live close to Empire. As everyone knows, we pay for the first car inspection with the price of the car... it's outlined on the purchase and sale agreement. Well Empire gave me a voucher for some place in Fall River. When I told Nolan, the salesman, that I couldn't drive all the way to Fall River to get my car inspected (especially after all these trips) he said that it was no problem, and to fax him my receipt from when I do get it inspected, and that he'd issue me a refund. I faxed him with the receipt, voucher to show it was unused, and inspection "report" to show my VIN. A month later, I've heard nothing back. I'm sending it via certified mail today, so I'm out another at least $5 just trying to get my $29 back. I paid twice for inspection and they absolutely do not care. I'm the same customer who wrote a review about shoddy warranty work being done a few months ago. I've purchased two brand new cars at Empire within the past two years. My Mom has purchased two brand new cars at Empire within the past five years. My boyfriend just bought a brand new car at Empire a few months ago. My sister WAS going to purchase one when her tax return came in... but isn't now. I'm young with a good salary and was going to invest my loyalty in Empire, but I've definitely changed my mind after these past two experiences. We'll all be going elsewhere next time and I suggest EVERYONE else does too. More
I bought an elantra. its is a great car! I love the gas mileage. I was at ease immediately with Caesar. he was patient and sympathetic to my situation. i will recommend empire to others. only one thing i w mileage. I was at ease immediately with Caesar. he was patient and sympathetic to my situation. i will recommend empire to others. only one thing i was disappointed with...i was quoted one price, then at the actual time for signing it was about 30.00 more. not happy about it, especially since the first quote was where i needed to be. Finance manager, Paul, was also extremely helpful. More
This place is a scam. I would stay far away from this place. Make sure the first thing you do is get a price for the car. Then get it in writing before going any further. If they dont walk away noing you place. Make sure the first thing you do is get a price for the car. Then get it in writing before going any further. If they dont walk away noing you made the best decision of your life. Also dont tell them anything about a trade in before you get a price in writing because all the do is add the trade in value to the cost of the car. I was conned big time and shame on me for not doing research first so all i can do is warn you not to trust anyone of them because they are the scum of the earth. Like I said get a price in writing before doing anything and dont mention a trade in until you get a price in writing. Good Luck. More
I have to say that the overall experience was a little better then I expected. The sales person and his manager were understanding to my financial situation and seemed to work hard to get to the price I better then I expected. The sales person and his manager were understanding to my financial situation and seemed to work hard to get to the price I was comfortable with. Having never owned a Hyundai I was a little leery about getting one, but after driving it for a couple of days I am very happy with my new Veloster and absolutely love driving it. More
I wanted to write this review because I am totally satisfied with the experience that I had at Empire Hyundai. My husband and I were recommended to Empire Hyundai by my neighbor who told us that he satisfied with the experience that I had at Empire Hyundai. My husband and I were recommended to Empire Hyundai by my neighbor who told us that he bought his car there and was totally satisfied with it. When we drove up we were greeted by a salesperson named Ron. He asked us some questions about what we were looking for in a car. We told him good gas mileage and looks were most important. He then took us for a ride in an Elantra, which seemed a bit small for us. Then he took us for a ride in a Sonata. That was the deal closer for us. We loved it!! We came together on the price in no time and we got a good price on our trade with help from their manager Jerry, who was very nice. Ron then bought us a coffee while we waited for all the paperwork to be completed by the finance person Joe. Joe asked us a few questions and drew up a deal that was comfortable for us to afford on a fixed income. He was also easy to deal with. Everything was approved and we were ready to drive off with our new car. It didn't take long at all. Right before we left Ron took us by the service area and made an appointment to have our first oil change. The owner, Rick Torres, happened to be walking by when Ron introduced us to him. Mr. Torres asked us if we were satisfied with our whole experience and we said we definately were. We also told him that we would make sure to tell friends and family and he seemed happy. He said anyone we sent he would make sure they would get a good deal also. Empire Hyundai is the place to go where you are treated like a VIP, and treated with respect. More
