I purchased a vehicle from there a month ago after I had been in a rear end accident and my car was totaled. I had my mother in law come with me to consign. She had found the car and spoken with the salesman, making it very clear we were trying to stay in budget, under 9,300 our the door. We drove the car it seemed okay, so we discussed it more and said that after tax, title, fees and sale price we'd be leaving at around 9,500. We agreed. We sat in the entrenance area for the finance manager for 30 minutes when there were no other customers, and when he was ready he tapped at us through the glass. We walked in and started discussing the finance options, because we had already been approved for the loan. We put 4,000 down and had decided we'd just pay off the rest (around 5,500) after I got my check from the insurance company due to my total loss. He offered the warranty, and said the payments would be $155 a month. I decided not to get the warranty, and he strongly urged that I get it in case any problems came up with the vehicle. I still declined. He said "How about this? I will lower your interest rate because I think a young girl like you, who drives as much as you do, need to have this warranty. With the warranty, your payments will be $145." So of course I took it. We signed documents and everything and then afterward he shook our hands. He said he would mail us copies of the papers. I thought it was weird he didn't just give us the papers then, like every car dealership I've been to has done. He told me my payment was due in the next two weeks and I asked why it wouldn't be the following month, as normal. He apologize and fixed the documents, had us resign them, and we were on our way. The exact same day I drove it home, the car wouldn't start and I had to call AAA to jump it. After 3 days of it dying every single day, I got a new battery and said forget it. Last week, after still not receiving the documents in the mail, I called to see what happened, since I had a payment due this month and didn't even know what bank it was through. I called and explained why I needed the finance documents and I was told the manager didn't work today but he will have him call me back first thing in the morning. He was very obviously trying to get me off of the phone. I said "don't you need my phone number?" He said "Oh yeah can I have that?" The next day I called again after work because I'd still not received a call. He said the finance manager left for the day but he would have him call me the next day. I called every day for 6 days and this happened every single time. I was fed up. I am 18 and my credit is very good now, and I had a payment coming up that I didn't want to miss. On the 6th time he asked my email so he could email the documents to me. I never received the email. Finally, today, the 7th day calling, I got them to email me the documents. I looked at them and was very confused. It said that the financing amount was $6,980, and the month payments were $155. It wasn't the $10 a month that worried, but the fact that the sale price was over $11,000, when he told me out the door around $9,500. It was the $1,500 increase in price. I emailed back that this is charging $1,500 more than what we had agreed to, and this is the exact email I received, copy and pasted. "$155 whom ever gave you that ridiculous figure of $10 less???And please no attitude I've done everything possible to help your deal stay together...No attitude please unless you want one back..." I was amazed. This was a dealership's email to someone who'd purchased a car from them. The finance MANAGER. I explained that it's not the fact that it's $10 more per month, it's the fact that the price is different. Again, here's the exact email he sent back, verbatim. "k I never said $145 u signed at $155 and if you are paying it off you will never pay the $1500 if you pay it off early.The $1500 only applies if you make every single car payment.. Do the math" As if I don't understand what interest is. I tried explaining myself again and he just said "good luck to you!" I immediately called the dealership and someone just said "hello?" and hung up. I called back, they said "Empire Exotic how can I help you?" I asked to speak with the finance manager. He said "one second while I transfer you." and hung up. I called AGAIN and it was the finance manager who already knew it was me and he said "Look ma'am, I know you want to believe I told you the cost would be blah blah blah but i have documents here. I know you're young and don't know much about cars, but there's interest, taxes, and fees." I tried to explain that I understand but he was speaking over me the entire time. He kept repeating that I signed an agreement. I asked to see the signed documents, because the ones he sent by email were typed up and had no signatures. He wouldn't answer, and kept avoiding the question. I brought up the fact that in the documents he sent, one had a vehicle purchase price at $8,500 while another one said $7,250. He said "Well I don't know why that was there. Those are just file copies." I said then send me the real copies! Why would you give me unofficial financing documents after purchasing a vehicle anyways? He said "Jesus, Christ. See, this is why I'm not married. We'll mail you the copies or you can come in tomorrow." and hung up. I've done more research on them and people leave reviews similar to mine and have the exact same experience, More
