My previous two cars were a Subaru Legacy and a Subaru Outback. After 16 years of owning a Subaru I decided it was time for a change. I did my research, looking up all the major brands, their offerings, Outback. After 16 years of owning a Subaru I decided it was time for a change. I did my research, looking up all the major brands, their offerings, their safety records, their trims and options, the whole-nine-yards… and eventually I decided on the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox as the vehicle to go with. The car looks great, has the amazing MyLink feature, and frankly I kind of liked the idea of buying American (what with our auto industry on the mend!). I initially started out with another dealership, looking around and asking a few questions. After talking to my wife that afternoon, we decided to see the car together and take it for a test drive, but since it was the same day and I didn't want to go back to the same dealership twice (i.e. look desperate), I chose to go to the next closest one, which was Chevy of Huntington. There I met Priscilla who showed me their selection and took me for a test drive. By the time I made the decision to actually buy a car, as opposed to just seriously considering it, it was already late June and needless to say, finding the car you want at that point in the model year is almost next to impossible. That said, however, after a few follow-up calls from Priscilla and one of their sales managers (Andrew), I found myself in the dealership seeing what was available. My initial requirements (2LT, not black or white, no leather, and no additional options) were tough to match, but to his credit Andrew spent some 3+ hours working with me in an attempt to find what I was looking for. During that process, he must have searched every dealership in a 500 mile radius, sending out requests for "swaps" with other dealerships in an attempt to find something close to what I was looking for (at one point he even sent a request to a dealership in North Carolina. I live in New York). Ultimately what I wanted simply wasn't to be found... Anywhere! After exhausting that process, which included several more hours of their time, I once again met with Priscilla, both of us determined to find a car I would be happy with (my Subaru was due for inspection at the end of July and no way was it passing… so waiting for the 2013’s was not an option). So work together we did and after another hour or two going over what was available, doing search after search, we eventually did find a car that I was both happy with and was available. In fact, that car turned out to be about $1500 cheaper than the ones I was originally looking at and had agreed too. All in all, I could not have been happier with the time they devoted to me and the patience they extended me during the countless searches and swap requests they did on my behalf. They worked hard to put me in the right car and I appreciated that. Finally, no review would be complete without a mention of the all important price-tag and here again they came through. Without going into all the details they offered me what I considered to be an extremely competitive price on the car and then to further smooth out the deal, they offered me as much or more than any other dealership I had spoken to for my trade. So, at the end of the day, I love my new car and I’m delighted to say that the process went much better and much smoother than my previous Subaru purchases… all for a price that I felt good about paying for the car. Thank you again to everyone at Chevy of Huntington More
Car: 2009 Chevrolet Corvett Z-06 Problem:Intermittant Car: 2009 Chevrolet Corvett Z-06 Problem:Intermittant flashing dashboard lights indicating 'Service Traction System-Service Active Handling, trigge Car: 2009 Chevrolet Corvett Z-06 Problem:Intermittant flashing dashboard lights indicating 'Service Traction System-Service Active Handling, triggered with sudden increases in power on accelleration. I brought my car to Chevrolet of Huntington because I live in Huntington and it saved me a half hour trip to Robert Chevrolet in Hicksville, Long Island where I routinely bring my car for service. I usually deal with the mechanic 'Ozzy' at Robert Chevy who has been quite amazing at determining the etiology of malfunctions on my 2009 Corvette Z-06. According to Consumers Reports, 2009 had major electrical and engine problems. However, nothing seemed difficult to assess and repair when serviced at Robert Chevy. I brought the car into Chevrolet of Huntington service a few months ago with the dash lights blinking the above message, and explained the details of the above named problem. I dealt with Vinny in Service and another man, perhaps a salesman that ran back and forth to Vinny each and everytime I asked about the expected time to repair and the costs. The mechanics at Chevrolet of Huntington worked on the car for an entire day and replaced the '02 sensors' for approximately $600 (covered by GM). It wasn't five minutes after I left when the problem occurred again and I drove back with the message flashing across the dashboard. The mechanic said I now had a faulty sensor, and the only way to tell which one is malfunctioning is for two techs to take the car on the road and see the precise moment that a code was thrown for a malfunction. I told them I wouldn't let anyone drive my car outside the dealership unless I was in the car at the same time. At that time, I was approached by the unamed dealership representative who told me that the mechanic wants to know if he can take my car home with him over the weekend to see if he can reproduce the occurrence with high speed driving. I kid you not....I stood there with my jaw at my feet at told him no xxxxx way. Not a chance in a million years, and I was certain it was a tremendous liability for the dealership mechanic to drive illegally fast or race my car on the highway. I took my car immediately back to Robert Chevrolet and when they stopped laughing at my story that O2 sensors wre replaced by Chevrolet of Huntington, they pulled my car in and put it on a code reading computer. They told me it was illegal for them to take the car outside a dealership and high speed test it...and I vowed to never go back to Huntington Chevrolet, for any reason. The computer indicated the the mass air unit (cold air induction) unit was malfunctioning. Apparently, the huge increase in cold air being sucked through this aftermarket system (Vararam Snake Charmer)over stock was triggering a code that too much oxygen was entering the intake. When replaced with the factory unit, the problem resolved. I found the service at Chevrolet of Huntington to be poor, although the staff are personable and friendly. My recommendation is for you to go to Robert Chevrolet in Hicksville. The only fault I find with them is the difficulty in reaching a service advisor on the phone or in getting a updated call on the status of repair. Additionally, the cost of an oil change was significantly less expensive at Robert Chevrolet. More
I financed a used car from another dealership, and after having major troubles with it decided to go to Chevrolet of Huntington. I did this for a couple of reasons. They are close to my home, and I have dea having major troubles with it decided to go to Chevrolet of Huntington. I did this for a couple of reasons. They are close to my home, and I have dealt with them for years, having purchased my first car from them, and my mother having purchased her last two from them as well, before the renovation. I was comforted by the quality of service that I received this time around. Andrew Dole went above and beyond in noticing a discrepancy in the paperwork with the vehicle that I was trying to then trade-in. That discrepancy basically freed me from my contract with that car. I was able to get the out of my pocket back & that loan was paid off as well, allowing me to use the money for a new car. Although I had been quoted some more competitive pricing at a different Chevy Dealer, I decided to come back to Chevy of Huntington. I felt like they cared. I then worked with Eric Mueller in Sales and was able to get everything situated and completed. I received some information that wasn't necessarily true after checking with GMC Financial, but I won't let it change my overall opinion. More
I just purchased a new Silverado and could not have been more pleased with the dealer experience. My saleswoman Priscilla was great and gave me the best price with the least amount of xx I experienced from more pleased with the dealer experience. My saleswoman Priscilla was great and gave me the best price with the least amount of xx I experienced from any other dealership. During the financing phase, Dan was great at giving me just what I needed, and not playing any games. More

as a physician on long island i am sensitive to online ratings and i do feel they can be of value when the writer takes the time to be as honest and accurate as possible. after owning 9 bmw's, an audi, l ratings and i do feel they can be of value when the writer takes the time to be as honest and accurate as possible. after owning 9 bmw's, an audi, land rover and 2 porsches, i decided to "go green" and try for a hybrid. after much research i decided to test drive the chevy volt and toyota prius. i reluctantly drove to the chevrolet dealer fearing a horrendous experience being bullied and lied to which is all too common now a days with car salesman. i visited the new huntington chevrolet recently re-opened by the atlantic auto group and i could not have been happier. i was immediately greeted with a smile and as introduced to andrew dole who did a wonderful job describing everything he knew about the new volt. andrew was patient and spent as much time as i needed answering my question and even researching questions for me that he didn't know the answers to right away. when i left the dealer i felt confident i wasn't taken advantage of and i actually emailed andrew several times over the nest 2 days reviewing further issues. again, andrew was prompt with his responses and could not have been more helpful. yes, i would definitely recommend this dealership and in fact the inside word on the street (as told to me privately by a previous owner of other dealerships in the area) is that the owner of the entire atlantic auot group (john stuloopi?) is trying hard to change the image of his dealerships and make them more customer friendly and honest.
