My husband and I went to Chevy in Huntington. I was over my alloted miles in my current lease miles and wanted my trade my car in early to avoid incurring additional excess milage charges. I was given a price that i was told included the buyout of my old vehicle. Jennifer the sales person asked for my curent lease information and called while I was sitting there to verify the buy out of my current truck. Much to my surprise weeks later recieved a bill from my former leasing company for the additonal miles! Chevy huntinginton never paid for the miles and when I called to see what happened I was told this was not part of the deal and I quote Steve Rentz General Store Manager "you are lucky I even made your remaining payments on your traverse. No where inthe contract does it say that I even had to do that." after they already took my car back and put me into a new lease! This is how they negotiated a better price to get me to come back when the original price quote was too high for me. Coincidentally the price differnt from their original quote to price where I actually signed was the exact amount I owed divided by the months on my lease. They didnt actually buy out the vehicle like they said they would which would have made the miles a non issue. They instead made my final lease payments which was cheaper for them and stuck me with extra the miles! The whole reason I traded my car in early! Beware...... More
These guys were great! They were easy to talk to, and were willing to negotiate a price that fit my needs as well as their own. BEWARE. VERY AGGRESSIVE and UNETHICAL sales practices. Required us to fill out "Embassy" incentive form to get price of car. Required us to put SS#. We were gullible and did. Also, pushed us to give them our credit card to show we were really interested in the car. We decided we didn't want to buy the car and the sales manager Eddie Reyer refused to give us the paperwork with my SS# back. Stated once I filled it out it was his property. Why does a dealership need my SS# if I am not buying a car there. Now I have to be concerned with Identity Theft. Also, salesperson said you need over an 800 credit score to get special pricing. (S Tier) Looked up S Tier and it is 740 and up. I had to ask 3 times for them to give me my credit card back. Bait and Switch advertising practices. You are not eligible for the advertised sale prices..... More
My wife and I found one of their listings for a used car on Car Gurus. Since we didn't live in the area we called ahead of time to make sure that they still had the vehicle and that all the details of the on Car Gurus. After we were assured that they were we drove the 2 hours to get there only to find that the care had 25,000 more miles on it than they had advertised. Outside of this, the car seemed like it was a "too good to be true deal" so I asked the salesmen why the price was lower than the other models he had and he just said that was because it was a trade in. We went along with the process and I repeatedly asked to see the car fax report, which the salesmen said he was getting but he first needed a deposit. Only after we gave him a deposit did he provide a report saying that the car had been in a minor accident. Despite lying about the mileage and the vehicle history they would not negotiate further on price. More
