I was not in the market for a Harley, but stopped in. The shop is well laid out, and they had plenty of bikes. A 21 Road Glide in Billard Teal attracted me, so I agreed to purchase it. I told them I wanted to pay cash and it started getting weird. They wanted me to finance it, but would not explain why, so much to the point they did not want to sell it if not financed, so I said thank you, got up and started walking out. The temperament returned to the previous, and I proceeded with the sales guy. He came back from the finance office and asked if I'd finance part of it, and I said I did not want the debt, so it was an all or nothing. When they finally agreed, this was after I was there almost two hours, I headed to finance, where I was told of the benefits of finance. I'm a fairly patient person, but this was out of hand, so I asked, "Do you want to sell the bike or not." Reading my contempt he finally printed out the purchase price and I called my bank for the wire (this could have been done a long time back and saved a good portion of my day. When they finally got around to calling their bank to see if the wire was there, which was another hour and a half, it had been there for an hour. I left with the bike, and came back and purchased the extended warranty, which I was told gave me free oil changes for the warranty term. So I ride the 3.5 hours from my home to Emerald Coast for my 1,000 mile Oil Change and I'm told the oil change was not covered. On 2/15/22 I canceled the contract, and then the lying started. In 5 weeks I'd have my refund of $1,341. Being a busy guy and just making a cross country move I let this slip until the middle of May. I asked my wife if she received the check from Harley and she said no. On the 28th of May I returned to Emerald Coast Harley, after over an hour of run around (we can't find your contract, your bike was not financed, blah blah) I was told by Will that ESP sent Harley Finance my check, and now they had to figure out how to get it from them, and properly to me. I stopped back in to Emerald Coast a week later and spoke with Will again (I called a two days earlier and asked for the status, and that I'd be dropping by on the weekend). He said he completely dropped the ball and was sorry he did not follow up. This time after heading somewhere into the mystical back (administration I’m guessing) area for a reasonable time, he came back out with no new information, but that he'd be on it. Not unlike previous, Will does not return my calls. Today 6/23/22 I called ESP direct and relayed my story. The guy I spoke with Chad who is on the mechanical side and approves warranty claims, who in turn talked to their cancellation department, and they said my contract was canceled on 2/25, that it was an SPP (that seemed to be an important acronym), that no check was sent to Harley finance, and the Dealership was responsible for the refund. Would you buy from this dealer? More
